Carrie lay silently with her head against the headboard, she watched out the corner of her eye as Kelly rolled over onto her side facing away from her. The poor Texan had been running around all day doing exactly what Carrie had wanted she hadn’t even had time to eat before falling into bed next to her girlfriend. Now in the silence of the night Carrie was beginning to feel guilt for the way she was dealing with the whole bed rest. She had driven both Kelly and Jeanne into complete madness over the past few weeks she had been forced into staying in bed. She knew what she was doing but part of her couldn’t stop from lashing out at the people closest to her. She was scared of the future even though Kelly had told her time and time again that things would be ok. She felt uneasy about everything, her mother not supporting her Clive turning his back on both of them and her own sisters refusing to return her calls. Things over the past few weeks had been getting on top of her until she felt she couldn’t breathe. After they both went on tv and told the world what they really were to each other a lot of people had shut the doors in their faces. Carries parents had done another tv show plus a few magazines, all of them saying the same things Kelly was the one to blame. She had taken their young innocent daughter and turned her into a monster. Clive didnt help matters either, after watching the interview on Ellen he had called to tell both girls he didn’t need them for the next 6 months, Kelly’s trips to Europe had stopped, plans for future albums were on hold. He thought this was a way to punish Kelly, he knew her career was her life and if he stopped it for a while she may start to blame Carrie for it. Carrie knew the moment Kelly told her of Clive’s plans that’s what he was thinking and a part of her believed he was right. What if Kelly realized her life with Carrie was meaningless and everything she had worked for was slipping away, Carrie felt that if Kelly thought that their little family would be no more. Kelly would go back to her career leaving Carrie to raise two kids alone, Even though Kelly had promised her this would never happen Carrie couldn’t help but think Clive had a point. Hearing Kelly move beside her she turned to see the young Yexan watching her.

"what are you thinking.." Kelly whispered the sleep still in her voice.

"nothing......go back to sleep."Carrie knew if Kelly was aware of these thoughts it would make her angry. Kelly hated people not taking her words seriously. Sliding over the bed until she was pressed up against carries side Kelly let her hand rest softly on carries ever grown stomach.

"must be something or you would be fast asleep by now....."

"i just.....its just this bed......im starting to hate it."That part was true,I t was beginning to eat her up having to be in it all day every day.

"i know it is baby."Kelly continued to whisper feeling she needed to with all the darkness around her. "but when you hold those two beautiful babies in your arms all this will seem so unimportant......just have patience baby." Carrie could feel her eyes start to water hearing Kelly whisper reassuring words in her ear, she let a few tears slide before brushing them off her face.

"im trying Kel i really am..but its just so hard being like this." Carrie was now letting the tears flow freely down her face, Kelly tried her best to get rid of them but she was crying to hard.

"baby you need to calm down ...the babies will..."Kelly stopped suddenly feeling something press against her hand that was resting on carries stomach,Kelly knew Carrie felt it to by the sudden hault of her tears. both of them looked at each other before letting their eyes fall onto carries stomach.

"did...was...was that a kick."Carrie was hoping Kelly had the answer cause she was far to freaked out by the whole thing.

"felt like it.......it was right on my hand.........Carrie one of them kicked."Kelly couldn’t hide the shock in her voice as she rested both her hands on carries stomach hoping to feel it again.

"wow...ive ....ive never felt anything like that Kel.......our babies responding to us........you think they can hear us."

"Probably ......"Kelly pushed herself up till she was face to face with Karrie. "they probably heard us...heard you getting upset.....maybe this is their way of letting us know its going to be ok......."Carrie smiled watching Kelly look back down towards her stomach.

"it felt so strong Kel........how can something so strong be in any kind of danger......it feels to powerful."

"Maybe its letting us know they're ok in there.......and warning you to stay calm........you gonna listen to our babies?"Kelly knew putting words into her unborn babies mouths was probably a little mean on carries part but she wanted to get her point across.

"yeah....maybe it was a sign for me to stop getting so worked up." Carrie let out a little laugh before pushing herself down the bed towards Kelly. "now i have three of you blackmailing me into doing what you want........your so gonna be their favorite."

"only until they taste my cooking.....then they will be running back into your arms baby." Kelly watched as Carrie smiled sleepily letting her eyes shut slowly. Pushing herself down till her head was resting against carries stomach Kelly let her eyes shut too.

"hey why you down there."Carrie asked in a sleepy voice.

"just in case one of them wants something in the middle of the night."Carrie smiled down at Kelly while Kelly thought her words were the most normal thing in the world. Thank god Carrie loved a goof ball or Kelly would be
