A/N: Okay, so apparently staying with my roommate (who is the basis for Ivy) seems to at least give me random spurts of ideas and creativity, because here is another random chapter for my lovelies. *hugs*
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
A few days and several cups of coffee and tea later, the large group of guys that had been practically living in the Wentz house for the past few days. None of them would agree to leave until they had finished up the plan for how to come back to the article. In total there had been almost more people than the house could hold, however Mrs. Wentz had proved herself as the paramount hostess. She had found places to put everyone comfortably, all the while still keeping up her constant vigilance over the couples present.
Rebecca had tossed and turned all night, having flashes of her normal nightmares coupled with the latest events. Thus in total she had barely slept and woke feeling horrid. So when she awoke in the midst of another nightmare and noticed that it was light outside of her window, she groaned and decided that there was really no point in attempting to sleep again, therefore she had gotten up and decided to go down to the kitchen to see who else was awake. So she rolled out of bed and stumbled downstairs to the kitchen where she almost jumped out of her skin at the sight of who else was in the kitchen.
“Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! Ivy, don’t ever do that again!”
“Gods of the heavens and earth, Becca! Besides, what do you mean do that again? I didn’t do anything. You just came in here and suddenly were screaming about me doing something.”
Ivy was leaning against the counter, looking like she had just woken up as well, except for some odd reason, Ivy was wearing one of Petey’s old band shirts. This shocked Becca, as the band was one of Petey’s first bands and she had never known him to lend his band shirts to anyone. And yet Ivy was standing in their kitchen as perfect proof of what seemed to be precisely the opposite of what she had thought.
Although suddenly a thought hit her, that seemed to be blindingly obvious, and yet had somehow managed to escape her mind until that moment. Pete and Ivy were actually together, rather than just goofing off to have a bit of fun out of Becca. She shuddered out of habit as she realized that her brother and best friend were, by the looks of it, more than just friends. She walked to the refrigerator and pulled out a bottle of water and stood for a moment so that she could try to process the sudden realization that had seemed to come upon her. She turned to Ivy quickly, her most blank expression on her face.
“Ivy what the hell is going on between you and my brother? And I want an honest answer this time. Because there is no way that I’m going to believe the ‘nothing’ plea.”
Ivy must have been shocked by the sudden change in Rebecca’s attitude, because she dropped the cup of coffee that she had been drinking. The coffee mug broke on the floor, sending warm coffee spilling over the floor. Just as soon as Ivy had dropped the mug, Rebecca knew that perhaps it hadn’t been the best of ideas as to get confirmation on how bad of a tactic that might have been. Hearing a shuffle coming around the corner, Becca knelt down and started to pick up the pieces of the broken mug. But yet again, when Rebecca glanced up over the counter, she wished she hadn’t, because of what she saw over the countertop.
“There you are, Poison. I was wondering where you had went after you said you were heading to the bathroom. Then I thought maybe you were grabbing a snack, but then of course I realized that it was already morning. After all, we were hardly done when we both sorta crashed last night. What happened?”
Rebecca stood with a handful of the broken mug before shaking her head violently in attempts to get the image out of her mind. She couldn’t believe that Pete was standing in the middle of their kitchen wearing nothing but his boxers, with a bit of a growing problem. She walked to the trashcan, still shaking her head trying not to think of her brother standing on the other side of the kitchen. She leaned up against the counter, keeping her back to her brother, as she heard a cough and then Ivy’s small giggle. Apparently, they had figured out what had majorly repulsed her.
“Um, I’ll just be going back to the room now. Um, Becca, I’ll be right back to explain. ... Okay, yeah.”
The sound of quick rushing up the stairs let Rebecca know that Pete had gone back up to his room, hopefully to get a little more clothes on, because she certainly didn’t want to see her brother in that little clothing ever again, especially when he was particularly happy. Rebecca turned and saw Ivy more red than she had ever seen before in their friendship, which was certainly saying something, and all of a sudden Rebecca burst out laughing.
Although Rebecca didn’t forget about the fact that she was still interrogating Ivy, although she had just been given iron-clad proof that they were together. She turned back to Ivy with a bit of a smirk on her face.
“So, what is going on with you and my brother?”
“Why I’m having wild, crazed, kinky sex on every surface of this house, of course. What else did you think I would do?”
“Oh my god, don’t even talk like that, Ivy Cataluna Reynolds! That’s just beyond disgusting.”
Rebecca shuddered and turned back to cleaning up the spilled coffee. The very last thing that she needed to have in her head were the random images and thoughts of her brother and best friend doing anything of that nature, particularly in her house.
“Rebecca Anne Marie Wentz, there is absolutely nothing wrong with me and your brother enjoying ourselves. Besides, you can’t be completely innocent yourself. How many times have you wanted to ... well you know, with your little juicy steak of a guy?”
Ivy’s laughter was clear enough evidence that Rebecca was at least a few shades of red, and she ducked her head back down behind the counter again under the excuse of cleaning up the coffee still on the floor. She cleared her throat and continued to mop up the coffee trying to avoid Ivy’s gaze as best as she could.
“Oooh, Becca, I never thought you would think that way. I’m proud of you. So when should we expect to hear you moving in with Patty? After all, that’s the next step, you know.”
Rebecca turned and finally looked back at Ivy, shaking her head at the smirk she saw on her friend’s face. She then motioned with her head back to the coffee on the floor with her head.
“Are you going to help me with cleaning up your mess, or are you just going to stand there with that damned smirk on your face?”
