Kelly tried her best not to laugh but she was finding it really difficult. Watching her girlfriend waddle towards her as she made her way to the front door was a funny sight but not something Carrie found at all funny. It was their latest appointment at the doctors to see how the twins were doing, Carrie was now 35 weeks and still restricted to bed rest. Although the doctor did allow her to get out of bed for 15 minutes at a time three times a day now. Kelly couldn’t believe how far things had come in the few months, Carrie was doing good their careers were officially on hold but that didn’t bother Kelly, She wanted to spend every moment she had with Carrie. They had agreed that when the babies where born they would spend the first month with Jeanne until both knew what they were doing, then they would find a house near by for the new family. Jeanne had made Jason help Kelly with the nursery hoping it would get the two talking again, he had agreed but things were still tense with them all. Kelly was just amazed how her and Carrie had stuck together through it all, it was proof that their relationship was strong enough to survive anything.

"You know you could help instead of watching" Kelly was pulled out of her thoughts by Carrie standing in front of her. Kelly had to laugh, the moody Carrie was still around correcting everyones ways.

"I am helping baby..... im holding the door." Kelly tried smiling sweetly hoping it would melt the ice queen a little, and it worked.

"Kel... i dont know what id do without you." Kelly held onto her hand helping her down the two front steps.

"never gonna find out baby...." Kelly loved these little moments of sweetness, it made up for all the nightmare times when Carrie was biting her head off.

The trip to the doctors was a quiet one, both woman to caught up in their own thoughts about what news the doctor would bring today, Kelly hated theses appointments the most knowing that at any moment the doctor could bring more bad news their way. Things had been going to good the past few weeks Kelly was waiting for the bad news to come. Carrie on the other hand had been blissfully caught up in motherhood to worry about anything bad, Jeanne had been keeping the young blonde busy with stories of a young Kelly and many hours of advice on how to welcome a new born into the family.

"You think we'll get a date for the birth today." Kelly turned to look at Carrie.

"i have a feeling it will be soon.......i mean they must be so uncomfortable now.....god knows i am.."

"yeah but will they be ready to move out......" Carrie gave Kelly an odd look.

"I didn't let them furnish the place........" Kelly rolled her eyes at carries attempt at a joke.

"i mean will they be fully developed.......little fingers and toes..........their little hearts........will everything be ok?" Carrie could hear the worry in Kellys voice.

"baby.....the doctor wouldn't bring them into the world without fully knowing they were going to be ok." Carrie rubbed her hand over Kellys as she gripped to wheel tighter.

"i just worry is all."

"i know baby...and its sweet but its not necessary....."

"we're here." Kelly helped Carrie into the doctors office making sure she was seated comfortable before telling the receptionist they were there.

"Carrie.....Kelly" Kelly stood straight up helping Carrie to her feet as the doctor looked on from her door.

"hey doc."Carrie said wearily.

"Carrie......i see you’ve grown since your last visit."

"that your way of telling me im fatter than before."Carrie said as she walked past the doctor into the exam room.

"i can see she's still a little mean." the doctor directed the last part to Kelly praying the over sensitive Carrie didnt hear.

"things have really moved along since our last visit doctor........the babies are kicking so much its amazing." Kelly gushed like she always did around people. she really was the proud mother when it came to her kids.

"that’s all good news girls....any signs that the babies are doing the normal things is good....... now Carrie if you would like to hop up onto the table ill start up the machine." the doctor turned letting Kelly help Carrie onto the table ,which wasn’t as easy these days. " ok you know the drill we'll see how the babies are doing and then we''ll have alittle talk."The doctor continued doing her job as Carrie lay with Kelly gentle rubbing her arm for comfort. Carrie felt the cold jelly run over her stomach as the doctor examined the machine watching closely as the twins moved around.

"look car........one of them is waving." Carrie followed Kellys eyes towards the machine as she saw alittle hand move across the machine.

"oh ....is it supposed to do that......?"

"of course Carrie........your babies have fully developed now.......they can do alot of wonderful things..........and thats why i think its the right time to welcome them into the world...." the doctor smiled watching the shocked faces of both singers.

"what.....like now?"

"no no Kelly........i was thinking maybe 9 days from now........on 10th of october.........that sound like a good birthday for your kids?"

"but...But..." Kelly was now finding it hard to talk english, which made Carrie melt for her even more.

"please excuse Kelly....but what she means is will everything be ok..... i mean nothing can go wrong right."

"Carrie i wont lie to you with your pregnancy there has been a risk through out, but you have done everything ive asked to miminalise the risk.What i can tell you is that you will be under the best care and the babies are strong enough from now, give it another nine days they babies will be bigger and strong.......its a good time Carrie."

"So October 10th?" Kelly had now managed to learn the english language.

"yes Kelly...... i assume you will be free that day."

"oh hell yes." Carrie let out a small giggle, she loved seeing her girlfriend so excited about things.

"well ill book you both in then." The doctor left the room letting Kelly and Carrie take in the news.

"you ok about this baby?"

"Kelly......nothing i can do can change it....we both knew this would happen...."

"yeah but not so soon......i mean its almost a month early......."

"kel twins are born early all the time......and you heard the doctor...we will get the best care......"

"yeah.......so october 10th.....you ready mommy?"

"yeah......are you.......mommy?"
