Angel's Shock chapter 5
Angel's Shock chapter 5
The following is a work of total fiction. I have never met Darren or Daniel and like everyone else apart from them and their partners I do not know their true sexual preferences. I do not mean any disrespect or harm to either of them.
Meanwhile Darren had been ringing round her friends, they all claimed they hadn't seen her or even heard from her.
"Surely one of them has to be lying Danny. She has to be with one of them. Where else would she be?" Suddenly an awful thought came into his mind. "Unless she's done something dumb! What if she's in the hospital? Or worse? Something must have happened to her she can't have just disappeared! Where is she? I'm going to start ringing the hospitals!"
"Darren don't panic. Angel's a sensible girl and she did say you weren't worth it. I don't believe she meant that but I also don't think she would kill herself."
"She was upset, what if she's had an accident, walked out in front of a bus or something? She doesn't have to have tried to kill herself to be in the hospital. Danny I have to find her!"
Darren rang round the local hospitals to ask if anyone fitting Angel's description had been admitted. No was the answer he got from each of them. He tried the hospitals in town. One said a young girl had been brought in answering her description. She had been knocked over by a hit and run driver and was critical. She had no identification with her. Darren said he would be right over to see if it was her.
"Daniel it has to be her! I have to go to her. Will you drive me?"
"Of course I will, you're in no fit state to drive. But calm down, you don't know it's her. It's more than likely it's not her."
"But Danny, what if it is her? What have I done?"
"You don't want to think the worst, I'm sure it's not her that she's fine wherever she is. But we'll go and check it out just in case, just to put your mind at rest."
"They said she's critical. That means she could die! Oh Danny!" He started sobbing and Daniel comforted him.
"Come on Dar, calm down. Let's go and see if it is her."
They arrived at the hospital and after explaining why they were there, a nurse was asked to take them to the ICU to see the unidentified girl. They walked over to her bedside, Darren could hardly bare to look, he felt sure it would be Angel. He looked at Daniel and Daniel took Darren's hand in his and squeezed it gently. Then Darren looked at the girl. His legs almost buckled beneath him.
"Danny, it's not her! Thank God, it's not her." He started sobbing again, holding on to Daniel for support. Daniel led him outside and held him while he cried.
"Is he ok?" asked the nurse.
"He will be. His fiancée has gone missing, they had a fight and he doesn't know where she went. None of her friends will admit to her being with them. He's got it into his head that she must have had an accident, he thought that may have been her. It wasn't. I'm sorry we can't help identify the girl, but I am so glad it's not Angel."
"I hope you find her. Hopefully we will find out who this girl is."
They went outside. Darren was so relieved that this wasn't Angel but he still didn't know where she was. At least she wasn't in an accident as far as he knew.
"Come on let's go home." Said Daniel.
