***PART 5***

“Hi” was the first thing Ally heard upon entering the limo. She looked over and sitting across from her was the cutest little girl she’d ever seen. With blonde hair that had a slight curl to it, blue eyes and the perfect little face. Such a little lady. She didn’t resemble Marshall as much as she thought she would, but that was ok. Obviously she wasn’t doing too bad in the looks department. Even at the age of six, Ally could tell she would be quite the looker once she grew up.

Ally smiled widely at the girl and greeted her warmly. “I have to tell ya Hailie, it’s an honor to meet you.”

“It is?” Hailie asked, looking between her and Marshall.

“Yup. Not everyone had a song all about them. It’s a big honor I would think.”

“Oh yea! You heard my song?”

“Well, I heard some of it. I don’t really have a lot of time to listen to music, but a friend of mine was listening to it one day and I caught a little bit.”

“Oh.”

Marshall sat there in silence, just taking everything in. Had she been lying before when she claimed not to know him? Shit, what if Dre was right? What if she was gonna fuck him over. There was a reason he didn’t let bitches by his daughter. He didn’t care what the press printed about him really. He knew what was true and what were lies. But he couldn’t stand to see shit printed about his baby. Nobody deserved to know what was going on in her life unless he let them. If she was doing this for money…he shook his head. Marshall didn’t want to think that way, but you could never be too careful. One thing he did know was if she thought about using his daughter in her scheme, he’d make her pay.

Marshall continued to quietly take in their conversation. He had to admit, she couldn’t or wouldn’t, whatever the case may be, she didn’t seem to be able to answer any direct questions about his music. Obviously she had used Hailie’s song as an ice breaker, but did she really mean it? Had she never really heard any of his songs? Come to think of it, she had mentioned someone named Brian at the coffee shop. The friend who listened to him all the time…wouldn’t she have heard some from him?

“Daddy?” Hailie asked, cutting into his thoughts.

“Yea baby?”

“Are you mad?”
“No Hai, why would I be?” Marshall asked with a frown.

“Cuz Ally is talken to me, and she didn’t ask for your autograph.”

Marshall laughed, “Well I can’t be mad at that baby, I knew the day would come when you would be more famous then me. It was only a matter of time. You’ll still take care of your old dad when your maken millions won’t ya?”

Hailie giggled, “Yup, you can live with me forever daddy!”

Ally smiled again. This was so unreal. Here she was, spending time with Eminem and his daughter. She must be in the twilight zone or something. Never in a million years would she have thought it was possible. Stuff like this didn’t happen to her. The most Ally had ever won in her life was a tee-shirt from her favorite radio station. Now it was like she’d hit the jackpot. Spending time with Eminem was probably ten times as good as winning the lottery.

Regardless of who she was with, it was truly amazing to her to even be on a date. She’d always been the girl who was a friend, but never the girlfriend. Sure she’d been on dates, but once the guy heard she wasn’t interested in just sex, he was gone. Her longest relationship was only about a month long. She’d tried not to mention the sex thing until they’d gotten closer, but he’s flipped out. Called her a tease, among many other names and she hadn’t seen him since. She never knew her decision to wait would cause her so much trouble. At the rate she was going….God, why am I thinking about this now? So what if she was probably one of the oldest virgins in the book, that didn’t mean she should think about it now, while she was on a *date*! But was it a date? Maybe it was just a thank you for saving my ass kinda thing. Cause really, hany any parents take their kids on a first date with them? Not that she minded really, after all, she loved kids and Hailie certainly took the cake.

Ally wasn’t sure what she expected a famous rappers daughter to be like, but Hailie certainly wasn’t it. She didn’t seem to be overly spoiled or stuck up at all. Which was good, because while Ally loved kids, spoiled ones were not her favorite. She dealt with that enough at work. Brain and Tiffany weren’t too bad though. They were just used to getting their way and what they wanted when they wanted it. They were never outright rude to her. Brian was almost 15 and pretty much kept to himself. It was true when she said he was always listening to Eminem. He adored him; he had posters in his room and everything. There were times when his demands were a little over the top, but nothing she couldn’t handle. Tiffany on the other hand, wants everything under the sun. The worst thing about her was her insane jealousy. If someone else had it, she needed it. Didn’t matter what *it* was, just as long as she got it. Ally could tell that sometimes the five year old did it for attention, just wanting her mom or dad to pay attention to her. Those were the times Ally felt the most for the kids.

But Hailie wasn’t anything like her charges. She could tell she loved her father very much and they were obviously very close. She seemed to be able to read his emotions without any hesitation and that was just remarkable to her. Who knew that a six year old girl could have so much depth to her, more then most adults at thirty. Ally just hoped she never changed. Regardless if this was the only time she would ever be in her company or not, she hoped her father’s celebrity didn’t affect her.

And that was another thing, Ally knew she would have to prove her sincerity to Marshall. He’d gotten a far away look on his face when she mentioned Hailie’s song. His eyes had grown cold and she worried she’d done something wrong. But then he’d gotten over it. His face had cleared and his lips held a slight curve to them

Before Ally could get lost anymore in her thoughts, she felt the limo stop. A moment later the door opened next to her and the driver helped her out. She stood off to the side as Marshall and Hailie exited, before they made their way into the hotel. Marshall led them into the elevator and told Hailie to push the top floor. The ride only took a few minutes, but to Ally it felt like it would never end. He was so quiet, listening to his daughter explain her day to him. He didn’t seem to be the playful man she met in the coffee shop. Guess it was just too good to be true, Ally thought sullenly.
