LAST TIME:
“Let’s just head to my home. You can meet my daughter and then if you want you can stay for the stakes that we’re havin.” He suggested.
“Sure, if you don’t mind having me over.” She smiled at him as they stopped at a red light. “Just give me directions.”
He did and then they were on their way.
CHAPTER FIVE
“Marshall, you don’t mind if we stop by my apartment do you?” Tai asked when she noticed that they were going to go right by it.
“Nah, that’s alright.” He looked over at her. “What do you need to do?”
“Well, I need to shower and change, and I need to check on my dogs.” The light changed and she turned right.
“You got dogs? What kind?”
“I have to male Dobermans named Bear and Baloo.” She paused, “Well, Bear is a mi Dob Doberman and Rottweiler.” She smiled thinking about her two babies.
He laughed. “Baloo huh? Like in the movie?”
“Yep. That was one of my favorite movies growing up.” She answered as she pulled in to an apartment complex. “Do you have any dogs?”
“Yeah, two, a Husky named Jaco and a German Shepherd named Beans.”
“Beans?” She asked with a giggle.
He shrugged with a smile. “I let Haile name him.”

“It’s not much really.” Tai said as she opened the door. As soon as they stepped in two large dogs wagging their tails greeted them. Or in the Doberman’s case wagging his litttub tub of a tail.
“Hello boys.” She petted them on their heads and then squatted down to their level. They sat and looked at her. Marshall closed the door.
“This is a good friend of mine guys. His name is Marshall. Be nice to him or else.” They licked her hand.
Marshall grinned at her when she stood back up. “They’re good boys, they won’t bite you unless you’re mean to me.” She started walking down the hall while pulling off her jersey. She was wearing a yellow sports bra underneath. “Make yourself at home. I’ll be out in a minute.”
Marshall looked down at the two dogs, “Well, it looks like it’s you and me guys. What do you wanna do?” They barked once and ran to get their ball. He laughed.

In her room Tai undressed and got out some clothes to change into: bra, panties, a pair of bootleg stretch jeans, and a white low cut tank. She smiled when she heard her dogs running down the hall playing.
While she was in the shower her phone rang, “Could you get that Marshall?” She yelled.
“Yeah, sure!”

Marshall picked up the phone that was on the charger. The dogs sat at his feet when he sat in the overstuffed chair near the large picture window. “Yo.”
There was a pause on the other end and then a girl with a British accent spoke, “I…must have the wrong number. I’m sorry to bother you.”
“No wait!” Marshall said before she could hang up. “Are you trying to reach Tai?”
“Yes. Who is this?” She asked.
“My name’s Marshall. Tai’s in the shower. She had a game today.” He explained.
“Ok. My name is Arerell. Um…could you not tell her that I called? I wanna surprise her.”
“Ah, actually, when were you planning on stopping by?” He asked.
“I’m about ten minutes away, why?” She asked.
“Well, Tai is coming over to my house for some steaks. How about I give you my address and you can surprise her there.” Marshall suggested.
“Yeah alright. That sounds great.”
He gave her the directions and his cell number. “Me and Tai are about ten minutes from where I live so why don’t you stop somewhere and wait about fifteen minutes and then call me on my cell when you’re on your way.”
“Yeah, alright. That sounds good. So I’ll see you then. Ta Marshall.”
“Bye.” He hung up and then looked at the dogs. They had their heads on their paws but sat up when he spoke. “Ta? What the fuck is that?”

“Ok, Marshall, I’m ready.” Tai said as she came into the room.
He looked up from where he was asking the dogs to do tricks. He looked her over. “You clean up nice.” He looked at her hair. It was down past her shoulders a little and it was wavy. “I like your hair like that.” He commented.
She touched it and smiled. “Thanks.”
She grabbed a matching jean jacket from the hall closet. “We can leave.”
He looked down at her dogs, “Do you wanna bring them?”
“Is that alright?”
“I wouldn’t have asked if it wasn’t.” He said with a smile. “Besides, it’ll give my dogs someone to play with.”

Tai and Marshall walked toward her car each with a leash in their hands. They where half way there when a male voice stopped them.
“Tai!”
Tai froze on the spot and didn’t turn around until she knew that he was behind her. Baloo and Bear were on their guard and were growling at the newcomer.
Tai spun around and slapped him all in one motion. “How dare you have the nerve to show up here Brad.” She hissed at him.
“Oh come on sweetcheeks, I said I was sorry.” He rubbed his cheek. “Give me another chance.”
Marshall raised his brow. “Is there something you wanted? Clearly Tai doesn’t want you here. So ink ink you should fuck of before I let Baloo bite off your balls.”
Brad glanced at Marshall and then down at Baloo and Bear. They were both growling loudly at him. He then sneered up at Marshall. “Clearly you don’t know who I am.”
Marshall smirked. “And who is that?”
“I’m Tai’s boyfriend that’s who. So you have no right to tell me to fuck off!”
Tai groaned in frustration and then grabbed Marshall’s arm. “Goodbye Brad.”
She could hear him calling after her as she got in the car. She flicked him off.
She turned to Marshall as she started the car. “Sorry about that Marshall.”
“Hey it’s alright. I know all about crazy exes. Believe me.”
