~Hellooo darlings. Okay so I took a little longer getting this chapter out than all the others… there is a good and logical reason for it. I was sick. Yep. I couldn’t even raise my head off the pillow to type. I am sorry. Then College started again YAY. Regardless here I am now feeling better and writing you a new chapter. YAY. Chester is about to get free. Will he wake up the Queen? Let’s find out… oh and do me a favor, and REVIEW!~
“THE BREAKOUT”
Mike began to pace standing within the locker room. None of this shit made any sense to him, and wouldn’t. Chester didn’t just up and fucking disappear! Granted it had only been about a couple of hours, but Chester had missed the fucking bus to come to the Los Angeles concert, and that was not Chester, he didn’t just up and fucking leave without telling anyone where he was going, or when he’d be back
“He’ll probably show Mike… the concert isn’t for a while yet….” Joe said while eating a blow pop. None of them were as worked up over this as Mike was. Ever since Chester had left like he did when they had been
“Something isn’t right… I don’t give a fuck what any of you say… I am not being paranoid! Tell me how often Chester has missed the fucking bus to come to any show, huh?!”
Everyone watched Mike in silence, they knew Mike to be protective over his friends but this was utter insanity. Mike was blowing this way out of proportion. It was Brad who finally spoke up needing to say something before he literally got up to knock Mike unconscious over this. They all knew that Chester had been out partying with Wayne Static… and had come back looking rather happy, and yet thoughtful, as if something weighed heavy on his shoulders. They had all tried to talk to him, but Chester had said point blank he wanted to be left alone. Which was why they weren’t worried. Chester had his mood swings and they all knew it was best to leave him alone to deal with them, but Mike never could take that hint.
“Mike! Take a fucking chill pill man! You are acting like he’s been gone for like weeks or something… just sit down and try to calm the fuck down man… I’ll try him on his cell.” Brad shook his head grabbing Mike by the arm and pushing him down into a seat, before pulling out his cell and dialing Chester’s number. The phone immediately went to his message center, and Brad sighed before staring to leave a message.
“Chester… its Brad, man where in the hell are you? Mike is over here throwing a fucking conniption fit because you missed the bus to get to the show. I really hope you are on your way here; I would hate to have to knock Mike out to get him to calm down. Give me a call when you get this message.”
Mike lowered his head in his hands, this was bad, he had this gut feeling something had happened to Chester and he couldn’t get over it. The rest of the band thought he was nuts but he knew better, he knew something was wrong. Chester where are you?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The shadow shifted and appeared before Chester and his eyes widened realizing who was standing in front of him and Chester began to laugh, realizing how this was going to piss Scott off, he hadn’t even realized who the third person was standing right beside him, the “Christian” seriously was too cocky.
“You took long enough revealing yourself… you could have saved me from that ass kicking I received at the hands of that bastard.”
The figure laughed and shook his head, at least the man he believed to be the Queen’s king hadn’t given up hope. Smirking he crossed his arms staring down at Chester with humor in his dark eyes.
“Are you going to set me free or what?”
“Do you believe you are King Chester? Do you believe you can wake her? If you tell me no I will leave your ass right in their clutches.”
“Of course I believe! Do you think I wouldn’t feel so bad if I didn’t? I want to be the one to wake her… I need to be… and we have to figure out how the hell we are going to protect her… they are not going to give up, and I have a feeling they will show up at the concert tonight.”
“Then we better get moving huh? Let’s go.” The figure turned to leave but was stopped when he heard Chester speaking.
“Aren’t you forgetting something Wayne?”
Wayne turned and began to laugh before he lowered and untied Chester. He had heard everything that had been said by Jay and by Scott, and he agreed with Chester when it came to the Ministry showing up at the concert. They would be pissed that Chester had managed to get free, and Scott would know it was his hand in this. Moving to the smaller male he wrapped his hand around his waist, and felt Chester hold on before he leapt up landing on the balcony, then leapt out of the round window which he had broken nights ago during a mock “Attack” on the Ministry. Fools never did replace the window, and it was just how he wanted them to be. Once outside beside the awaiting car he had planted a few yards from the main base of the Ministry’s camp both men got inside and drove off at hellish speeds needing to make it to the concert on time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chester began to pace his eyes watching the clock on the wall. He was to perform in less than ten minutes. He had Wayne had just made it in time for him to get dressed, and to have light makeup placed on him. He was nervous. What if he didn’t wake her? What if he did? He sensed trouble was near and could only guess that the Ministry had found him gone already. He was frightened and feeling sick to his stomach.
“If we didn’t have to perform right now I would kick your goddamn ass! Do you have any idea how worried I was?”
Chester looked up a small smile playing on his face as he nodded his head to his band mate. He felt really bad that he had made him worry, but the other members hadn’t been. They knew he needed his space, even though Mike had been right and something had been wrong, but thanks to Wayne that was over… for now.
“I am sorry Mike…”
Mike took one look at Chester’s eyes and that façade of a smile on his face, and his anger cracked into a shattered picture of what it had been. Sighing he leaned against the wall and stared at the ground.
“Chaz… is something wrong? Something you’re not telling us?”
Mike was the only one out of all of them that could tell when something was bothering him. He couldn’t tell Mike the truth, not yet anyway, not until he woke her, if he woke her… Chester sighed and leaned against the wall looking to his long time friend.
“I am just nervous.”
“The almighty Chester nervous before a concert… aww I wish I had a camera.”
“Shut up Shinoda!”
Mike laughed and clasped Chester on the shoulder, before pulling him away from the wall. Chester had never been nervous before a concert, he was always hyper and causing all kinds of pranks, and to be truthful, Chester looked as if the world rested on his shoulders right now.
“Don’t worry man… we’ll rock out as we always do trust me.”
Chester moved away from the wall and made his way toward the curtain nodding his head to Mike before whispering softly. “I hope so… man do I hope so.”
Chester walked off with a soft sigh falling from his lips. He was nervous as hell, and he was never nervous when he had to perform, but he knew the air had a dangerous feel to it. He was going to either wake her or die, and it wasn’t something he liked admitting at all. Fuck.
“Chester…”
Chester turned to see Wayne standing not far behind him. Mike merely kept walking deciding to leave the two alone. Chester sighed and moved over to his friend his dark eyes troubled as he worries his lip piercing.
“Wayne… I am seriously feeling sick to my stomach… something is seriously wrong here, and I have a feeling we are all in serious danger tonight, but what scares me more is that I know I am in danger… I could lose my life here in a minute.”
“I am sorry… I know this isn’t easy for you, hell it wasn’t easy for me either when I realized I had been chosen… I ended up not being the one, but for you, many believe you are her King, and if you are Scott is going to try to kill you. I feel like shit for pulling you into this, but I have never disobeyed an order from her.”
“I am not pissed at you Wayne, this was my choice remember? I made the decision to perform tonight, I made the decision to attempt to wake her, I am just scared man… they already kidnapped me, and I know he won’t have second thoughts about killing me…” Chester raked a frustrated hand through his blond locks looking to Wayne with sad eyes. “What if I am not the one… what if I don’t wake her?”
“We can only hope that is not the case, because I know for a fact the Ministry is planning to wipe out all of us tonight, whether she awakens or no, and if she doesn’t… this is going to be a blood bath for humans and immortals alike… Scott isn’t going to let anything stand in his way, not you, not me, and least of all not some mortal.”
“This is really bad isn’t it Wayne…”
“Yeah Chester it is.”
Chester cursed while he nodded. He didn’t like this at all, he felt vulnerable, and he thought he had gotten rid of those feelings years ago, but here it was an entirely different situation, but he felt like that young troubled teen yet again, with the weight of the fucking world on his shoulders, and people all around him ready to stab him in the back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As soon as their name was announced through Joe’s turntables Chester stepped up to the mic his heart was pounding in his chest, the screams of the fans only feeding that fire, he saw but he didn’t see, his gaze searching the crowd for signs of them. He knew they were there he felt them… fuck. This was bad… if he sung he could wake her, or cause them to attack regardless Something wasn’t right… he knew they were here… would he be able to awaken her in time, or would they get to him before the lyrics could fall from his lips good. Closing his eyes he started trembling, but the feeling only lasted a few moments, before he began to feel a sort of power dance over him, as if the very beings surrounding him, the ones counting on him were feeding him strength just as the screaming mortal fans were doing. If he had been a seer he would be able to see the tiny white particles of power floating through the room. The music was playing he could hear it, but it was more than that… much more. He could feel it.
Scott Strapp had been pissed when he found Chester missing and members of his Ministry dead. Now that he was here, he had every intention upon wrecking havoc. His eyes land upon the stage seeing Chester there, and he narrows his eyes the coldness surrounding him unlike anything ever seen before. He wouldn’t allow it to happen; he had worked too long and too hard to see the evil of this world purged from existence. Too long to see his dream fall to a million pieces, shredded by the voice of the very being he hated with every ounce of him.
“You’ll never make it Bennington…”
You fell away…
What more can I say
The feelings evolved I won’t let it out
I can’t replace
Your screaming face
Feeling the sickness inside…
Chester’s gaze locked on Scott Straps his eyes narrowing as he seemed to pick him right out of the audience. Those dark eyes of his grew hard as Chester wrapped his hand around the mic and suddenly a feeling of immense anger filled him, and the lyrics came out better than ever, his voice full of the rage he seemed to portray in the song. It was almost as if his rage was being fueled by the vampires in the room, by the fans who felt every ounce of the anger in those words, and the fascination in the underlying tones.
Why won’t you die…
Your blood in mine…
We’ll be fine…
Then your body will be mine
“Die bitch…” Scott narrows his eyes before lifting his hand a black ball rising and shooting out towards Chester a dark smile playing upon his lips.
Chester didn’t have time to react as he was suddenly flying back as the ball hit him with such force it went right through him, though no hole was left, he felt as if he had just been burned from the inside out. Wayne cried out his name at the same time the others did before he moved in a blur and hit Scott square in the chest, his dark eyes narrowing as he stood there facing the bastard who he had been wanting to kill since he first met him years ago when he had been chosen.
“Chester!! NO!!!!”
Scott began to laugh as he got up brushing himself off before leaping into a fight with Wayne. He blocked punch after punch being sent his way, and was amazed when Wayne was able to dodge a second blast this one meant for him.
“Give up Static… he’s going to die either way, yield and admit defeat!”
“Fuck you! I’ll never give up!!” Wayne ran towards him and the two started their battle again, the power force rising from both of them was incredible. Scott hadn’t known he had the blood of the Queen in him, which was one fact he had hid from many. She had made him hers regardless of his not being her King, and he had served her literally since. Scott wasn’t going to get out of this alive if he had anything to say about it.
Chester’s eyes rolled into the back of his head as blood suddenly flowed from his mouth, his life beginning to flash slowly before his eyes, this was it… he was going to die. He hadn’t been able to awaken her, it was all over… He saw it all, and yet he could still hear the screams of his fans, the screams of his band mates, and the fight between vampires and the Ministry alike as it started. He felt no sorry over dying, even as his life continued to flash scenes of his becoming a rock star, making it big, and the first time he laid eyes on the Queen. What he felt was a deep sadness that he had managed to fail her… he had been so sure he was her King, and yet he hadn’t been the one… it wasn’t him, and now all her chyldren would die. Landing against Brad’s drums he cried out his pain his eyes closing for a long moment before a coughing fit took him, racking his body with pain as he laid in a mass of musical parts to Brad’s drum set.
Suddenly Chester raised his eyes only to have them widened in horror as he stared into the cold gaze of the betrayer… the one who had let the Ministry into the concert tonight in the first place, despite the numerous vampires watching the doors. Coughing he felt blood rising to his throat even as he forced the word he was thinking out of his mouth, needing, no… wanting to know…
“Why?”
“Why? You have the nerve to ask me why? HIM Bennington… it was all HIM. Wayne fucking Static… he didn’t tell you, did he Bennington? Wayne Static was my lover… my boyfriend… and he gave his heart to that dead bitch! Then when my voice was the one who woke her, he was elated, he knew I had to be the King, he built me up for it, then when I gave the concert my dreams were shattered into a million fucking pieces! All because he wouldn’t let me stay the way I was, I wasn’t good enough for him that way, and so here I am about to end this once and for all, by killing the actual King I’ll have my fucking revenge against that vampire bitch and HIM!”
“Wait…. Jay…”
“No more time for talking Bennington… its all over… she’ll never be awakened… your little song wasn’t enough, nor will it ever be.” Jay Gordon raised the gun he was holding his hand shaking with his fury as he stared down into the eyes of the man he was about to kill. Narrowing them slightly he cocked the handgun and smirked looking into Chester’s eyes with a cold malice only one as hurt as he was could carry.
“Any last words?”
Servanne… I am sorry…
