Chapter 5.
Die hugged Toshiya so tight that the bassist could have suffocated.
“Don’t care about what he said, he is the shit! Don’t cry Totchi, onegai!!” But Toshiya was uncontrollably crying, he cried and cried. He just couldn’t stop the tears. Kaoru sighed and whispered to Die.
“I’m going home, if you need help…”
“Thanks Kaoru, but Toshiya is ok when he is alone…don’t worry, I’ll take care of him…”
“I know! Ja ne…” He left…
“Totchi, don’t cry please…” But Toshiya seemed to not hear him. He simply cried.
Kyo left the studio, and reach his home, he sat down on the couch and put his head on the knee…
“Totchi, you have promised, why did you betray me?? It’s you the one that promised first and made me promise too, and now…you just betray me like that?? I hate you, I hate you, I hate you…I love you…” He let the tears fall down from his eyes… ‘Damn it, I’m so weak, this is the second time that I cried in my life…’
Back at the studio.
“Come on Totchi let’s go home, ne?” Die finally succeed in having Toshiya stop crying. He needed 3 hours. The bassist smiled with his eyes all red and puffy.
“Dai-chan…you have to help me…”
“I’m here, just tell me in what…”
“I need your help to pack my things…”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m leaving, I’m going back to Kyo’s house.” sighed the bassist. Die remain perplexed, his mouth half open.
“Wh.what do you mean, back to kyo’s house?”
“I mean that I’m going back to my home…”
“Now?” Die didn’t understand the man, really.
“Yeah now…He will think that he win on me, and I want to let him understand that he won nothing, and I don’t have any more water in my body, I can’t cry again, even if I want…”
“Totchi, I don’t know if this is a good idea…”
“If you love me, help me please!” whispered Toshiya, too tired to talk in a normal way…
“I will Totchi…I will…” Die sighed at the end and helped Toshiya with his things.
Toshiya was in front of his house. His heart was beating so fast that it hurt him. He opened the door and entered. Kyo was still on the couch. He looked at the bassist and said,
“What do you want?”
“It’s still my home, don’t forget!” Toshiya yelled back and dashed to his room, without giving Kyo the chance to reply.
But it seemed that this new album couldn’t be release without many problem. The following day it was Die and Kyo’s turn to fight. Kyo wanted to write the music for Undecided, even if Die already wrote it. That’s how the fight started. Kyo punched Die, but before he could react, Kaoru punched Kyo, and once again before Kyo could react Toshiya punched Kaoru. It was Die the one that stopped all of the fighting.
“STOP!!!” He screamed, but Kaoru was still too angry, he didn’t punch or hit Kyo anymore, but he start yelling at him.
“You, fucking asshole, stupid vocalist of shit! How you dare to hit MY Die??? Eh??? H…-he realised what he said - Oh fuck…” he turned to see Toshiya, who is weirdly calm.
“Kaoru, you love Die?” Toshiya asked, but Kaoru didn’t answer him, Die did it instead. He attacked Kaoru’s lips, kissing him passionately. Kyo saw all the scene, and without thinking twice grabbed Die and hit him hard.
“How can you do that in front of him? How dare you??” Kyo was so angry, nobody ever seen him so angry.
“What do you want?” Die replied coldly.
“Fucking kill you! You hurt him!!!” he was ready to punch Die again and again, but Toshiya stopped them this time.
“Die…You don’t have enough? You already take two punchs and a kick, and don’t forget that Kaoru is still shocked…Explain to them…”
“You know that sometimes I’d like so much to tease that I became a masochist!” He poked his tongue out at the bassist.
“Kaokao…Kyo…Die and I broke up friendly yesterday…”
“You what???” Both Kaoru and Kyo screamed with disbelief.
“Yeah, we find out that we love each other like friends not lover…but I’ll explain to you in detail later, can you come with me a minute, I need to talk to you…” Die said grabbing Kaoru’s hand and not letting him answer actually. Kyo and Toshiya remain in the room alone. Kyo was bleeding from the lip, but he said,
“That’s why you come home yesterday…”
“Yeah, I can’t actually stay with him anymore…come here, you’re bleeding…”
“Oh…it doesn’t matter…Are…I mean are you hurt from it?”
“No, as Die said, we love each other like friends, not lover, so it doesn’t hurt…why Kyo?”
“Uh?”
“Why did you say that thing to me yesterday, why you apologized and then made fun of me like that?”
“I lost control when I saw some thing…”
“That is?”
“Totchi, you made me promise that no matter what will happen between us, if we part, if we fight, if we kill each other, whatever, we should not have to take away our necklace, because if we do that means that the one that take it away didn’t ever love the other…You didn’t have your necklace yesterday…”
“What? I had it. It’s only that I have to change the string of it, and I put another one that is of the same colour of my shirt, see?” He showed the necklace, with the blue string like his shirt. “Is that why you became all angry at once? Because you think that I betrayed you?” Kyo looked down and nodded.
“Yeah…I’m sorry Totchi, for everything…”
“I’m sorry too Kyo…”
“Can we be friends like before?” Kyo asked hopefully. Toshiya smiled and hugged the vocalist.
“Of course!”
“Totchi…”
“Yes?”
“Actually there’s another thing…”
“Mm?”
“About the mistake…”
“Don’t mention it anymore Kyo, you already hurt me enough…just forget it…”
“But…”
“Kyo stop it! If you want to be my friend again, don’t mention it anymore… onegai…” Kyo nodded even if he wanted badly to say something to Toshiya that come exactly from that action.
“Let’s go home, I think Kaoru will not mind, also Shinya isn’t here, neither today…so…come on…” said Kyo and with the bassist left the studio.
At home Toshiya sat on the couch, and Kyo got him a beer. He sat there as well and started,
“Totchi, actually, about that day…”
“Kyo! I already said it! Stop it! Don’t ever mention it anymore, you regreted it twice, it’s enough ok?”
“But…really…I” Toshiya stood up and left. Kyo was left there alone, confused. ‘I regret him twice??? HE is the one that is gonna regret all…I kissed him, and I asked forgiveness…I fuck him and ask for forgiveness as well, what else do I have to do? Wait for him to say ‘byebye kyo, you can go now?’ but then he realised. ‘I’m a fool! Who said that he have to regret it? Maybe he would have accept it! That explains why he was so angry with me!! I’m a fool really!’ He ran in front of Toshiya’s room, he heard the sobs and felt his heart break. He entered and sat down on the bed near him.
