This chapter is quite long, and some of you already guessed what is going to happen, but I'm going to let the story take place. *tee hee* On with the drama!

Silver roamed the streets, just walking around to be away from Brendon. She knew he would call eventually, and then he would apologize yet again. She would hang up on him and then everything would be back to normal. Hopefully.
She stopped at a convenience store, stopping in to buy a pop. As she was leaving, she bumped into a guy. Looking into his eyes, she was reflected from blue irises, ones that were full of death and coldness. ‘Him…’ She thought. He walked past her and she fell to the curb, clutching her chest. Her breath came in short bursts and she knew she was having a rare panic attack of hers. The door tinkled again and he appeared once more, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Well, well, well… Little Silvie. How have you been?” He asked, sitting next to her and wrapping an arm around her. She scrambled to get away from him, running into the side of the building. He ran after her, trapping her between his arms. He leaned down and smelled her neck, his eyes closed in satisfaction. He was smelling her fear, remembering how she felt…
“Get away from me.” She muttered, biting the inside of her mouth. He smiled a crooked grin, kissing her neck.
“I remember how you felt the first time… you were lying there, unconscious. Mmm…” He moaned, pressing himself into her. She whined, trying to push him off of her, but he had her wrists in his hands, holding her to the building. “Maybe I should take you home and show you how to really make a man feel good…” He pulled her from the building, getting her over to his car.
In an instant, he had thrown open the car door and pushed her inside. But before he could get the door closed, the man was tackled to the ground. “Help!” Silver screamed, jumping over the two brawling men and heading into the convenience store. “Call 9-1-1!” The owned nodded and within five minutes, police sirens were heard and the man was taken away.
Silver looked over to see her rescuer, and Ryan was standing there, sporting a bloody lip and a black eye, many more cuts and bruises spread along the rest of his body. She ran over to him, engulfing him in a hug. “Thank you…”
“It’s okay, Silver… You’re safe now..” He whispered, kissing her neck. She flinched, that was where he had kissed her. She relaxed when she felt his hands rubbing her back soothingly.
“Excuse me, miss.” Came an officer’s voice. “We need to ask you a few questions.” She jumped off the curb towards the police car, coming to a halt in front of the short young woman. She smiled sorrowfully, straightening her glasses.
Silver answered them as best she could, and the officer bade her good day. “Oh! Wait,” She said, running after her. “Do you recall the Miller case back about 7 years ago?” The woman nodded, putting two and two together. “That’s one of the murderers. He said ‘Hello little Silvie’ and his eyes are identical.”
“Thank you, I will be sure to notify my superiors.” She said, nodding. She walked away and soon all the cars pulled out of the parking lot. Ryan stood there, waiting for her to come back to him so he could hold her in his arms, tell her everything was okay, kiss away her tears… ‘As a friend.’ Ryan added as an afterthought.
She turned around to face him, half-expecting him to be uncomfortable. He looked strongly at her, not moving backwards an inch. She smiled, walking slowly over to him. “Let’s get out of here.” He said, outstretching his hand for her to take it. They got into his car and started down the back roads, biding time until she had to face Brendon again. It was like they read each others’ mind.
“How did you know I was there?” She asked suddenly, twirling a piece of her shiny locks on her finger. She stared straight ahead, as if she was scared of what she would find if she looked over to her savior. She didn’t want him to change. She didn’t want them to change.
“I was pulling into the parking lot for some pop, but I didn’t get that far, obviously. I just had a weird feeling about stopping there. I was actually shooting for the one down the road a ways.” He admitted, obviously biting his lip. She knew that they were both wondering what would’ve happened if he hadn’t been there to rescue her. She knew what he would have done, but he didn’t.
“Thank you.” She said, feeling her tears coming again. “I’m so grateful to have someone like you in my life.”
“It’s okay, Silver. I’ve known you for what, a year and a half? And yet, I am just now getting to know you.” Ryan said. She smiled vaguely, watching as he pulled up to Brendon’s house.
As he walked her up the sidewalk, he grabbed her hand, squeezing it gently. She gave him a surprised stare. He just kept his eyes on the house in front of him. A slight curling of the corner of his mouth showed he was being playful.
They stopped at the front door and Silver was vaguely reminded of doing this with very few boys. But this was different. This was Ryan she was thinking about. One of her cousin’s best friends. Besides, she was so Mary-Sue, he would never want her. She was just another charity case he could sink his claws into to get some publicity.
She was mildly surprised when he pulled her into a hug, whispering in her ear. “Everything is going to be okay.” She hadn’t heard those words in so long. She immediately felt the tears flow down her cheeks. When he leaned back, looking into her eyes, she was shocked yet again as he kissed her tears away sweetly. She sighed and he quirked a coy smile before pressing his lips to hers. He pulled back before he did anything further, smiling. He put his forehead on hers before placing one more kiss on her lips and as the breeze kicked up, he was already traipsing down the walkway to his car. She heard the door swing open and Brendon stepped out next to her.
“How come he didn’t come in?” He asked.
