Bam waited a few minutes before going upstairs to follow her. She was on crutches, just how much was she going to be able to pack?
Turns out she was capable of more than he’d thought. She’d gotten a suitcase out of the closet, opened it, put it on the bed, and was now throwing clothes inside of it. Most of the clothes had landed on the floor or around the bed instead of in the suit case.
“Lenny, Lenny, what are you doing?” he tried to sound pacifying.
“I’m packing up and leaving. Since, you know, we’re not so involved.” She threw a sweater at the suitcase. Bam began picking up her clothes and carrying them back to the dresser.
“Stop that!”
“You’re not leaving.”
“You can’t keep me here.” She said defiantly.
“Sure I can.” Bam walked over to her and picked her up, kicking and screaming. He dropped her on the bed and took the crutches for her.
“You’re not leaving until we talk this over.”
“What’s there to talk about, Bam?” she was so mad. He was glad he’d taken the crutches from her. She might have hit him with one.
“You just said we’re not involved. After you ask me to stay here. After my mother left, so you’re the only reason that I’d stay. We’re suddenly not involved.”
“That’s not what I meant.” He tried to explain. She just looked at him, fires of pain burning in her eyes.
“There isn’t really another way to translate what you said, Bam. I know what you meant, and you know what you meant, so that means that you don’t want me here. Fine. I’m gone.”
“Don’t be silly.” Bam ran his fingers through his hair. Lenny gaped.
“Did you just tell me not to be silly about this? Get out of here, you prick, I’m busy.” She snarled.
“Helena!” Bam shouted. “Calm down!”
“Get the fuck out!” she screamed back. She pulled herself off the bed and tried to hop back to the dresser.
“Sit down before you hurt yourself.” Bam yelled. Lenny ignored him. Of course she slipped on one of the tops on the floor. Bam caught her before she hit the floor and held her tight against his chest.
“Let go of me. Let go of me, Bam. Let go.” She whimpered, trying to struggle. Bam just pulled the both of them to the bed. He knocked the suitcase and all the clothes to the floor and laid them both down.
Lenny still struggled to get away, but not as hard. Bam finally managed to get her to lie still. He felt the wetness of her tears on his shirt as he stroked her hair and kissed her cheeks.
“Don’t cry,”
“How can I not? Don’t you understand that you hurt me when you do that stuff, Bam? Don’t you get it?” she sniffed.
“I do,” he sighed. “I’m just not used to this. You’re going to have to give me time.”
“Just remember Bam, you’re the one who asked me to stay. You’re the one who wanted me here with you.”
**
Her ankle healed by the time her birthday rolled around in October. Bam had something special planned for her.
“What do you want for your birthday?” he asked her one night two weeks before.
“A new laptop with more memory,” she said automatically. Bam wrinkled his nose.
“But that’s boring!” he whined. “Don’t you want something new and exciting?”
“Not really. Your idea of new and exciting normally involves someone getting hurt. I’m not cleaning up any blood on my birthday.” Lenny took a drink of her iced tea.
“You wouldn’t have to. Dunn would.”
“No I wouldn’t!” The man said as he walked by. He paused. “Seriously though, what do you want, Lenny?”
“Nothing, really. I hate my birthday. It never works out right.” Lenny made a face.
“What do you mean?” Dunn’s brow furrowed.
“I mean something always happens. Like, on my fourteenth birthday my boyfriend dumped me. On my fifteenth my best friends almost got kicked out of school. Sixteenth, our car died, seventeenth, I got way sick. Eighteen, just plain sucked. I didn’t even bother celebrating my nineteenth.” She clicked a few things, saving her file on the laptop.
“But I really do need a new system.”
“Oh,” the two left the room. Bam smirked at Dunn.
“You can’t let her birthday just past by. She’ll be twenty years old. She’s not a teenager anymore. Not a kid.”
“She’s still a kid. You just don’t want to admit you’ve got a Lolita thing going on here.” Dunn teased. Bam punched him in the stomach. He watched his friend double over.
“Don’t exaggerate. That old man was way, way older than Lolita. I’m not that much older than her. And it’s not like this is forbidden.” He wandered down the stairs as Dunn crawled after him.
“Now we have to think of something super cool.”
“Nnngh,” Dunn growled, managing to get onto the couch.
“You’re right, I should find something she really likes.” He had a special, secret plan in his head, but he wasn’t ready to talk about that yet.
Of course, he’d have to invite Holden. His lips pulled up in a sneer. He knew he shouldn’t be so jealous of the other boy. He should be glad that Lenny had other friends, had a life outside of the castle.
And he was!
Sort of.
Just not as much as he should have been.
Bam thought all day and all night about her birthday. That night, just after they had lain down, he reached for her.
“Hey,”
“Hey,” she answered. His mouth covered hers in one long, hot kiss. His hands wandered restlessly down her body, to find the hem of the t-shirt she was wearing to bed. He was demanding and relentless.
“Bam,” she giggled.
“Don’t say a word,” he admonished. He pulled the shirt over her head and threw it aside. The blankets were off of them, and she shivered slightly. No matter, he’d warm her flesh in a few seconds.
Bam hooked his fingers in her panties. Plain white ones. It was clear she hadn’t planned on anything tonight. He pulled them down her body and began to kiss her throat, her shoulders, and her breasts.
He flicked a nipple a few times to watch her hips squirm. Bam’s kisses trailed down between her breasts. He swirled his tongue in her belly button. Her hips bucked and she gasped. Bam grinned wickedly as he parted her legs with one hand and thrust his fingers inside of her pussy, dripping wet.
“Oh, baby girl, you’re so ready for me.” He said softly. The feeling of his hot breath on her skin caused goose bumps to rise.
Bam found the scars on her side, where he had carved into her. He traced these with the very tip of his tongue, fucking her with his fingers. Her hips bucking, trying to get more, go deeper.
“Be patient,” he withdrew himself from her and she whined loudly. “I love it when you’re like this.”
Lenny said nothing, but her eyes glowed with lust. She grabbed Bam and lined their bodies up. Her legs wrapped around his hips, and she guided his dick so it was just in the right place. With one movement of her body, there was penetration.
He matched her, thrust for thrust, moan for moan. Within a few minutes, they were moving without rhythm. She was panting, barely breathing, and he bent to bite down on her shoulder. She howled as he felt her muscles contracting around him. That was all it took to push him over the edge.
Bam withdrew himself from her and lay down gently next to her. She covered her face with her hands.
“Are you okay?”
“Fine,” she said softly. “I’m just trying to get the world to stop spinning.” When she finally came down, she curled close to him.
Bam snuggled her tightly, his hand right over those scars that were his name.
