Wow. I have been gone for TOO long. I give no excuse, just that I didn't feel like uploading anything.
However, after reading the comments, left, I needed to. I couldn't leave you guys hanging like that!

*~*~*~*~*
The stage was so hot. The lights burned into her face, making her sweat. She read her lines clearly and with as much emotion as she could, hoping against hope that she would get a part in the play from this. Nervousness wracked Luca's tiny frame, making her shake and breathe.
Her chosen scene was done and she hopped down off the stage quickly, wanting to go back into the cool audience seats. That was the last audition of the night, as Mr. Iero had a home to get to. Luca called her mom and she was coming to pick her up. She went up to Mr. Iero and tapped him on the shoulder.
“Oh, hi Luca.” He said, looking pleased.
“So, truthfully, how did I do?” She asked, biting her lip.
“You did really well.” He said, smiling. She figured she would have a part with how he was acting. “So I will see you tomorrow?”
“Yeah, of course.” She responded, smiling again. ‘God I want a part in that play!’ She thought. ‘But is it just so you can get close to Iero…?’ Her conscience asked. She rolled her eyes at herself and left, sitting outside where it was cooler out.
The days were getting shorter, the leaves were changing colors, into brown and yellow… ‘And molten gold,’ as Luca thought.. It was getting colder out everyday. It was nearly fall. Luca loved Fall. It was her favorite time of year, but it could stand to be a little warmer, though. The pretty colors were what she liked about fall. She had a weird inclination to call Gerard suddenly, so she did just that.
“Hello?” He said, answering.
“Hi Honey! I just got out of auditions!” She said excitedly.
“Cool, how do you think you did?” He asked boredly.
“Really good, Iero said. I hope I get a part.”
“You know if you get a part, we will have no.. us time..” He said promiscuously. She rolled her eyes, wishing he would just quit sometimes.
“Well I guess it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make. Oh, I’ve got to go, mom is here.” She said. “I love you, bye.”
“Whatever. I love you, bye.”
She hung up and got into the car quickly. “How was your day?” Luca asked rhetorically. She was used to getting silence. “Mine was okay. Auditions went well.”
The drive home was silent, as usual. Luca got home and went straight to her bedroom to read her English assignment and did it. Hardly ten minutes, tops. The rest of the day was spent eating odds and ends and sleeping. Nothing too big.
The next held the list of callbacks, or the people who were going to be the cast, whichever it was. “Come on! I want to see who made it!” Luca said, pulling Gerard through the crowd out of the metal detectors at the door and the humongous crowd of people usually congregated by the doors. He sighed in annoyance as they practically ran down the hallway, Luca’s insides squirming. They passed the theatre doors and stopped, Gerard mumbled something under his breath. Luca went directly to the sheet and studied it. Her name didn’t appear to be on there. “There must be… some mistake…” She said, her heart leaping into her throat.
“Oh look, you’re not on the list, let’s go.” He said, opening the door again and pulling her through it. They went up to the place they always hung out.. With Gerard’s friends. Luca stayed silent, preferring to listen to her own thoughts than Gerard saying that it was better for her to stay away from the pedophile teacher, and how much he hated seeing her like this. “I just want to pummel his face in because he doesn’t see how amazing you are.” But Luca never heard that. He had said that many times, including right before he hit her. It was no longer relevant.
‘What, am I not pretty enough for him? Do I not have white enough teeth? Can I just not act?’ Her mind screamed. Gerard watching her crestfallen face and seemed to get angrier by the second, his friends trying to figure out what happened.
“She just got dumped.” He said sarcastically. He got up and left her there with her thoughts. She didn’t want him to walk out on her, too. But he did. Luca sighed and bit her lip in embarrassment. Her boyfriend had just left because she was moping over another guy, so to speak.
“I guess I’ll go too.” She said, and got up and left. She spent the whole day thinking about it.
Impossible. He said she did good. Her name had to be on that paper… it just had to. She wasted the whole day away, not paying attention in class and not getting participation for the day. She walked into her 4th hour and sat down, glaring at Mr. Iero. He glanced around the room as if looking for an invisible death ray, the one Luca was sending his way. He sat at his desk when the bell rang. The day was filled with directions of their first performance. A radio show. Anna came over and sat next to her, wanting to talk about how stupid her older sister was. Lydia was one of Luca’s best friends, but she could get annoying after a while.
“So how was your day?” She asked. She was probably sick of talking to herself.
Well, I didn’t make the play.” Luca said, her eyes following the teacher around the room. He was hyper today. “I just don’t think it’s fair that stupid Danielle got a part and she was in the play last year. Now she’s an understudy! Understudies are supposed to learn how to be a good actor, not just to take up space!” She vented. She knew she shouldn’t have taken it out on Danielle, she was one of Luca’s best friends this year. She sighed guiltily.
“Wow, I’m sorry.” Anna said insincerely.
“It’s really not Danielle’s fault.” Luca said, looking over at her friend. She was currently talking to one of her other Senior friends. “I just don’t see how it’s fair.” Luca cracked her back and decided she needn’t dwell over such things. It was done and over with. Yet, she still glared at the teacher, and he still was looking around, watching for the mega death ray, set to kill.

I hope no one expected Gerard to be popular in this story. He's not.
