He woke up from a dream he wished he couldn’t remember his pillow wet with tears. He shouldn’t still miss him, he should be moving on with his life finding some one new and better. The memory of his kiss though lingered on his lips with the gentle feeling of his hands running over his soft skin.
Memories, sharp as daggers
Pierce into the flesh of today
Suicide of love took away all that matters
And buried the remains in an unmarked grave in your heart
It had been awhile since he had woken up without tears on his pillow. It had been too long since he woke up with warm arms around his waist. He couldn’t remember the last time he woke up feeling content and happy. Well, he could, but he wasn’t thinking about him anymore. The arms wrapped around his waist now wouldn’t be him ever again, but they were better than his.
With the venomous kiss you gave me

He wasn’t sure why they got out of bed. All they did was move to the couch where he snuggled against him again. Having his heart filled with warmth again felt almost odd but he liked it.

They didn’t leave the house or answer the phone or check e-mails. Cell phones were turned off and the shades pulled and in the darkness his lips found his again and again, their fingers twined together near his head.

He was by his side or wrapped in his arms, within arm’s length always. Close to him, his warm body his sweet scent destroyed the nightmares that once plagued him every night. He wasn’t afraid to take his hand in public like he had been before. The warmth in his heart no longer felt strange but familiar as if it had been there the entire time.

He was safe now, he was warm now, and he knew he would be forever.
