Carrie's head spun as Kelly's hands smoothed back and forth over her stomach, under her shirt as the Texan kissed her fervently. Carrie's teeth grazed her bottom lip as she pulled back, pushing Kelly's face to the side, her lips making their way to her neck. Kelly's arms were now wrapped around her, holding her down against her. She could hear her breathing heavily as she bit down on the side of her neck.
Kelly took in a sharp breath, her fingers digging into Carrie's back as her face flushed. She pushed Carrie back up, forcing their lips together, her hands roaming freely beneath her shirt. Her heart was echoing in her chest, as her hands found the hem of Carrie's shirt as the other blonde's tongue pushed inside of her mouth. She broke the kiss, tugging Carrie's shirt off. She pushed her up a little more, her lips parting against the soft skin of her stomach as she kissed her way up the middle of her abdomen and chest to her neck, before finding her lips again.
Carrie finally pulled back, struggling for air as she looked down at Kelly. She took a couple deep breaths, watching at how with each second she hovered over the bubbly singer, the amount of nerves in her eyes increased. The innocence radiating in them still reminded her of their very first kiss. She smiled, stroking her cheek softly.
Kelly returned the smile, her hands no longer on Carrie as she sat back on her legs, looking down at her. Kelly sat up as well, her smile remaining as she held Carrie's gaze. She swallowed hard as she reached up with both hands, her fingertips resting lightly along Carrie's jaw. She drew her closer, kissing her softly.
Carrie melted, now being very much reminded of their first kiss as she felt Kelly's lips slightly tremble against her own. She felt her heart fluttering as she once again let Kelly kiss her as slowly and as gently as she wanted while she sat perfectly still, accepting each kiss. She felt Kelly's tongue barely push against her bottom lip, and she shivered.
Kelly slowly pulled back, her eyes opening as she smiled shyly at the girl on her lap.
Carrie looked at her at a loss for words. She took one of Kelly's hands in both of her own, kissing her fingers. Kelly leaned back, laying back down, watching her. Carrie kissed her fingers once more before kissing the back of her hand. She turned Kelly's hand over, kissing the inside of her wrist, then her forearm. She placed a light kiss on the inside of her elbow, then her shoulder and her collar bone before reaching up and kissing her sweetly. She pulled back with a gentle smile, their noses brushing together.
Kelly grinned, whispering softly, "I think you just broke my heart."
"What do you mean?" Carrie pushed herself up, looking down at her worriedly.
"Well, the damn thing is going like a hundred miles an hour, and that is definitely not normal, so I think you broke it."
Carrie laughed shaking her head. She took Kelly's face in her hands, tilting it down as she kissed her forehead, "You're perfect, you know that? Absolutely perfect...never let anybody tell you any differently."
Kelly's smile broadened.
Carrie rolled off of her onto her back, reaching back for her, "Come on."
Kelly wrapped her arms around her as Carrie pulled her onto her.
Carrie took a relaxing breath, resting her chin ontop of Kelly's head as the Texan snuggled into her neck, "I ever told you how much I love your hugs?"
"A few times, yea," Kelly nodded.
"Good, cause you give really good hugs."
Kelly laughed softly, her eyes closing lightly at the feeling of Carrie's nails running up and down her back through her t-shirt.

"Kell?" Carrie whispered.
"Hm?"
"Why are you awake?"
"You just said my name," she mumbled.
Carrie laughed softly, her hand rubbing Kelly's back under her shirt, earning a soft moan from the Texan.
"What's on your mind?" Kelly asked curiously.
"Nothing. I'm just not tired for some reason."
"And you woke me to?"
"To talk because I was bored?"
Kelly smiled, "You're lucky I like talking to you."
"So I've been thinking about something for a little while..."
"Ok?"
"Why does Jason call your dad Jimmy?"
"Because Jimmy's not his dad," Kelly replied simply. "I mean, well, think about it. After the divorce, Jason stayed with my father. He's always been with my father since he was born. He only comes over here a couple times a year, and that's really just to see me. To him, Jimmy's pretty much a stranger."
"He didn't seem to like him."
"He doesn't like the fact that I'm so close to him. He doesn't understand it, and I get that. And like I said, they're practically strangers. He hates the fact that his mom and baby sister are living with someone he barely knows."
"That makes sense," Carrie nodded. "I like your family."
"My family's a mess."
"Y'all care about each other...so much. Your mom, and your brother, and Jimmy, they'd all do anything for you, and I can see you feel the same way about them."
"That's no different than your family."
"Kell, come on. You can't tell me that you honestly believe that if I would tell my mom I would rather go out to L.A. than go to college that she would support me."
"Nashville," Kelly corrected.
"Huh?"
"You'd be great in Nashville."
Carrie smiled, kissing the top of her head, "Either way, my mom would never go for it."
"Does it really matter?"
"What do you mean?"
"Care, you're an adult...you can make your own decisions now."
Carrie laughed softly, "Me not got to college? Right..."
"That's your mom talking," Kelly replied, snuggling further into her.
"Baby, I couldn't just go out to Nashville by myself...that's not who I am; I'm not like you."
"I know," Kelly nodded. "That's why you're totally welcome to come with me to L.A. instead. Nashville may be the better place for it, but I'm sure there's tons of country record execs in L.A. too."
Carrie's hands stopped moving as she opted to wrap her arms around the Texan instead.
"It's just an option," Kelly yawned, her eyes closing. "You always have options."

"Care?"
Carrie kissed the top of her head.
Kelly smiled, wrapping her arms around her, enjoying the feeling of Carrie's skin beneath her fingertips.
"You ok?"
"Yea, just wanted to see if you were still awake."
"You usually don't have trouble sleeping at night."
"You woke me up," she reminded.
"True," Carrie laughed softly, kissing her again.
"How are things going with your mom? You haven't really talked about it too much."
"She's still my mom," Carrie nodded. "She's just less vocal about everything."
Kelly could feel Carrie's fingers grazing over her lower back. She sat up a little, raising her arms, allowing Carrie to pull her shirt off for her before laying back down. She wrapped her arms back around her.
Carrie held her tightly, feeling the heat from Kelly's body transferring to her own, warming her to the core.
"Are you happy here?"
Carrie pulled her closer, "At times. Everything's still just so fake and completely surrounded by lies...at times it's hard to remember what's real."
"What do you mean?"
"Like, we go on, pretending like we're this big happy family and that nothing's wrong...it's easy to get sucked into that and forget about everything's that's happened."
"Wouldn't that be a good thing?"
"If we weren't pretending, then yea. But I can still see the emptiness in my dad's eyes that my mom either can't recognize or just flat out ignores, and everytime I tell her I'm going see you, she makes this face. She almost flinches, like I hit her or something, you know? How crazy is that, that I should feel guilty for wanting to see you?"
"I'm sorry," Kelly whispered.
Carrie kissed her forehead, lingering, letting her lips brush against the Texan's skin as she spoke, "I hate getting caught up in the charade, because moments like those cause you to crash back down to reality so fast...it's hard."
"You can always move back in with us if you need."
"I know," Carrie raised a hand, running it through the shorter girl's hair. "But I'd feel so bad leaving my dad like that."
"What about when you leave to go to college...or L.A?"
Carrie smiled softly, "I'll just deal with that when the time comes. Hopefully by then, things will have drastically changed."
"Or your dad will have come to his senses, and he will have left your mom," Kelly suggested. She felt Carrie swallow hard as she rested against the base of her neck. "You know divorce...sometimes it's for the better, like sometimes it's the right thing to do."
"I know," she replied quietly.
"And you know, that offer wasn't just a permanant one."
"What do you mean?"
"The offer to move in," she reminded. "It wasn't just a permanant one. It still stands even if it's just for a couple days escape from here."
"Thanks, Kell."
"It's funny, isn't it?"
"What is?"
"When I first came here, you offered your house to me as a place to go if I ever needed somewhere to go. Now, I'm the one offering my house to you if you ever need a break from things."
"Yea," Carrie nodded, her smile growing slightly.
"Mk, All-star," Kelly yawned, stretching "How about we get some sleep for real, now? We've got to get up for school in a couple hours."
"Ok," Carrie kissed the top of her head again. "And, Kell?"
"Hm?"
"Thanks for waking up to talk to me."
"Anytime," she pushed herself up, kissing her cheek softly before nuzzling back into her neck with a smile.

Carrie grumbled at the sound of someone knocking on her door.
"Carrie...Carrie are you awake yet?"
She felt Kelly's lips part against her neck as the Texan yawned, stretching on top of her.
"Carrie..." her mom knocked again.
Carrie's eyes widened as she looked towards the door, realzing it wasn't locked. "Crap, Kelly, come on."
Kelly fussed, feeling Carrie roll on top of her.
Carrie took her arm, tugging her off the bed as she grabbed their shirts. "Come on," she urged, practically dragging her into the bathroom, closing the door behind her. She quickly turned the shower on, hearing her mother opening the door to her room. She tossed the shirts in the dirty clothes hamper.
"What the hell?" Kelly mumbled, rubbing her eyes.
"Sh..." Carrie wrapped an arm around her, pulling her into a hug. She kissed the top of her head as Kelly rested against her. "My mom's outside."
"Make her go away," she frowned, hugging her tightly.
Carrie laughed softly.
"Carrie," Carole knocked on the door. "Are you in there?"
"I'm in the shower, Mom!" Carrie replied.
"I'm coming in."
"Mom, I'm in the shower!" Carrie fussed.
"Well, close the curtain."
Carrie cursed under her breath, pushing Kelly into the shower, pinning her against the wall as she closed the shower curtain behind them. She quickly placed a hand over the shorter girl's mouth as she started to protest against the cold water. "I'm sorry," she kissed her forehead, turning on the hot water. "You gotta keep quiet, though, ok?"
Kelly nodded, biting her lip at the sound of Carole entering the bathroom.
"Carrie?"
"Yes, Mom?" Carrie replied, her arms on either side of Kelly, keeping her against the wall.
Kelly smiled, catching Carrie's eye, their faces mere inches apart.
"I just wanted to make sure you were feeling ok."
"I'm feeling fine, Mom," Carrie stood perfectly still as Kelly reached up, moving her now wet hair from her face, her hand grazing her bare shoulder, sliding down her arm.
"You didn't come back down last night for the brownies," Carole noted.
"I wasn't hungry," Carrie replied, trying to control her breathing as Kelly's fingers brushed along her stomach.
"But you're always hungry for brownies. Are you sure you're ok, dear?"
"I'm fine, Mom," Carrie's jaw twitched as the hot water fell over both of them. She watched the water drops forming trails down Kelly's cheeks. One drop passed over her mouth, getting caught on her bottom lip. Carrie swallowed hard as Kelly licked her lips.
"Well, what do you want for breakfast this morning?"
"Anything you make is good," Carrie replied, their bodies now pressed together, their foreheads touching. Her hands smoothed over the other blonde's sides, moving over her hips.
"Are you sure you're feeling ok?"
"I'm feeling perfectly fine," Carrie assured, Kelly's lips pressing lightly against the corner of her mouth.
"Ok, then...I'm going to go make breakfast. Make sure you hurry up in there so you aren't late for class, ok?"
"Yes ma'am," Carrie was surprised she still had a voice. She listened as her mother walked out of the bathroom, closing the door behind her. She pushed more into Kelly, "Dear God, girl."
Kelly's hands trailed down her back.
"Do you have any idea what it feels like when you do stuff like that?"
"Probably the same as you pinning me in a shower when we're both half nekked," she replied, her hands trailing lower.
Carrie's eyes widened as Kelly pulled her impossibly closer, forcing their hips together, "Baby..."
Kelly looked at her innocently.
"I swear..." Carrie shifted her body, watching Kelly's eyes darken. "You definitely don't make things easy, you know that?"
"Easy?" she breathed, their lips barely brushing together.
"Y-yea," Carrie's breath caught in her throat. "Easy...me not being able to...us not getting to..."
"What?" her head tilted back as Carrie buried her face in her neck. She moaned softly, feeling Carrie's lips against her skin. "Care...easy...what don't I make easy?"
Carrie stopped, taking a deep breath as she rested against Kelly's shoulder, "Stopping. You don't make stopping easy. The fact that I'd rather stay with you and continue this all day, but instead we have to get dressed and go to class because my mom's waiting downstairs...you don't make that easy."
"I want to continue this too."
"Do you know what this is?"
"I'm not entirely sure, but I know it sure as hell feels good."
Carrie groaned into her shoulder.
"Did I say the wrong thing?"
"You really don't make it easy," Carrie laughed softly, pulling back. She reached up, cradling her face gently. "But it is nice to know you feel the same way...it's good knowing we're at least on the same page."
Kelly smiled, "You can kiss me, you know. I'll behave."
"I don't think you know how to behave, that's the problem," Carrie smiled back.
Kelly pushed up on her toes, kissing her softly.
Carrie's thumb brushed against her cheek as she pulled back, "It's so not fair how amazing you are at that."
Kelly giggled.
"Ok, ok," she took a deep breath, taking her hand and leading her out of the bathroom. "Come on, I'll find you something to wear so we can sneak you out of here."
