2 years later.

Carrie made her way through the evening traffic trying desperately to get home to her family. She had spent the day in meetings not something she really wanted to be doing on a hot summer’s day. No she wanted to be at home enjoying the summer with her wife and kids. That’s right wife, Kelly had taken Carrie on holiday the year before, leaving the twins with her mother and Ashley. While there Kelly has asked Carrie to marry her of course Carrie said yes and before they knew it both singers where standing in a small church saying their vows. It was a shock to Jeanne when they came back a week later both wearing wedding bands.

It was also a shock to the media who had been all taking bets to see who would be the first to date a man again. Clive had enough and told both girls they were no longer needed in his company which wasn't as hard on the girls as Clive would have liked. Kelly was happy to be free from Clive and both decided to give music a break for a while. After a year of spending every last minute with their kids both singers decided they couldn’t be lazy any longer and it was time to get back to work. This was the reason for being stuck in traffic at 5pm Carrie has a meeting with a record company who had been stalking them both for months. Carrie had finally agreed to meet and sign for them, Kelly had decided to stay at home for another year or two, she wasn’t really ready to give up her time with her kids just yet.

The only contact Carrie had with her parents in the two years since the kids were born was a short email from her father telling her he had seen a picture of them all in people magazine and how happy he was that Carrie looked so content with her family, Carrie didn't reply to his email.

Kelly and Carrie realised early on that they didn't want any negative people around their kids so decided to cut a lot of people out their life’s and lived a very quiet life in taxes. Jeanne lived near by and was always on hand to spoil the kids. Carrie couldn't believe how big the twins had gotten in the two years since their birth, Sophia had shown early on that she was the boss while Christopher was happy to go along with what his sister did. That would normally only lead to trouble , it seems their little girl wasn’t so much of an angel as Carrie had hoped instead she was loud and boyish and loved nothing more than playing in the dirty. While their son was shy and quiet and would spend hours laying on Kelly's stomach watching her do anything. Kelly had turned into Christopher hero and whatever she did he was there looking up at her in awe.

Finally she was home, shutting off the car engine she made her way towards the front door. Opening it slowly she hoped to surprise her family, the first thing she noticed was how messy the house was. She knew well that the twins had gave Kelly a hard time today, following the chocolate handprints that were covering her wall she made her way upstairs hearing the little giggles of Sophia. As she got to the top she saw a naked baby running quickly out of the bathroom followed by a harassed looking Kelly, after Kelly came another naked baby giggling at her mothers actions. Carrie acted quickly scooping up Christopher as she followed Kelly and Sophia into bedroom.

“Hard day babe.” Kelly smiled hearing carries voice behind her.

“ It was easy up till my mother gave them chocolate.......then all hell let loose.” Kelly tried getting Sophia to sit still but the little girl was like a worm and quickly got away from Kelly and ran out the room. “ oh I give up.....let her be naked.” Kelly threw herself back against the bed blowing out a big breath. Carrie let go of Christopher who quickly followed his sister while Carrie lay beside Kelly on the bed.

“ so I signed” Kelly lifted her head smiling at Carrie.

“we should celebrate my baby getting a contract.”

“ yeah we could open a bottle and relax right here.......what we got in the fridge?”

“mm mm let me think.....theres a bottle of apple juice or orange juice.....what would you prefer?”

“what?.....we have no wine in the house at all?” Kelly shook her head watching with amusement. “we are like the lamest people ever.”

“come on baby...... I think we're pretty cool”

“Kelly using the word cool just goes to show how un cool we are.” before she could answer Carrie the twins came back into the bedroom giggling.

“oh man.....I just bathed them” Carrie looked up to find both kids naked and covered in pen.

After another bath and fun filled dinner Carrie tried her best to get both twins to bed while Kelly took a much needed break. Christopher had falling asleep before the first book was finished but Sophia was still wide awake after the fourth. Carrie knew what she wanted it was the same routine every night, Kelly had made the mistake of telling Sophia the story of how her mummies got together and even though the little girl was only two she somehow knew exactly what the story was about. After finally giving in Carrie lay next to Sophia in her bed and began the story of how she fell in love with a cute blonde, within minutes Sophia was sleeping and Carrie could finally join her wife in bed.

“who won?” Carrie smiled at Kelly question.

“who'd you think won......that girl has some will power..........she reminds me of someone.”

“mm wonder who?” Kelly sat in bed with an innocent smile on her face. Carrie couldn't believe how luckily she was that Kelly was still there day in day out. She knew the young Texan wouldn't get bored but she didn't know Kelly would take to motherhood so easily. The only other time she saw the singer so happy was when she was on stage.

“you happy Kelly?” Kelly looked oddly at Carrie as the young blondes face became serious.

“the truth?” Carrie nodded slowly she had expected the young Texan to say yes. “ 90% of the time im happy yes.....but I feel something missing.” Carrie's stomach fell.

“what...whats missing?” kelly turned until she was facing carrie.

“a baby” kelly watched as kelly got a confused look on her face.

“but we have babies....we have two of them.....you've met them right?

“ha ha.......we have toddlers now.......I was thinking maybe its time for another baby......just the one this time though.”

“but I just signed a contract......I cant get pregnant now.......”

“well smarty your not the only one that can carry a baby in this house.......I have the tools too you know” Carrie finally realised what Kelly was getting at.

“oh...oh you mean you would have the baby.......as in carry it from 9 months......while looking after twins......baby are you sure.”

“you don't think I can........you think I cant cope?” Kelly turned herself away from Carrie a little. “ know what its a stupid idea....forget it.” Carrie instantly hated herself for sounding so negative about the idea. Sure they had talked about other kids but Carrie was thinking it would happen in a few years time.

“hey baby.....listen.....look at me Kelly........I know you can do whatever you put your mind to. You could take care of ten kids no problem I just don't want you taking on to much while im away........ ill be recording touring promoting will you be ok with me gone alittle.”

“i know all thats going to be happening but I know I can do this.........but if you dont want to have another baby I understand I dont want to push you into anything.”

“Kelly of course I want another baby.......and with you carrying this one I know how amazing it will be.”

“wait so your agreeing to it.........you want another baby?”

“only If she looks like you.......i want her to have your eyes and mouth oh and your cheeks” Carrie slide down into the bed alittle more so she was face to face with Kelly . “ and I want her to have your personality.”

“sounds like it could be a handful........and what about me getting fat......would you be ready for that.......would you still find me attractive”

“you would never be fat honey and I would find you attractive no matter what.”

“even if I gained 100lbs”

“even then.”

“even if I was 6ft tall.”

“yes even then.”

“what if I was 4ft tall”

“yes Kelly even then.”

“what if I had 6 toes?”

“even if you had 14 toes”

if I had no hair?”

“even if you had Britney’s head shape”

“what if I had Britney’s voice?”

“KELLY.........Nothing you say or do will make me love you less......cant we stop this game now?” both girls fell into a comfortable silence, Carrie watched as Kelly’s eyes began to shut knowing the young Texan had a long day. She watched for a few minutes before hearing two sets of tiny footsteps make their way into the bedroom, she could feel the covers being tugged as Christopher and Sophia crawled up the bed between Carrie and Kelly.

“everything that matters in the world is in this bed right now.” Carrie smiled as she heard Kelly voice in the darkness and she couldn't agree more.
