Monaco being a small as fuck, it didn't take 10 minutes before the Casiraghi bodyguards were marching up to Caroline and Thierry, followed by the guilty-expressioned Pierre and Charlotte, whose gaze was held constant to the ground. Briefly, Thierry and Charlotte's eyes met, but their anger and guilt feelings (guilt for the former, anger for the latter) prevented the encounter from lasting more than a split second.
"Well," said Caroline, furiously to her children. "What is the excuse for this? Even Grimaldis have to be on time. Events can't simply stop for your convenience." "I know, mama," Charlotte said, keeping her eyes on the ground. "We're very sorry. We stayed up very late, laughing and cutting up. We were just so happy to be in Monaco and I was so excited from seeing Tatie Steph and had to share every detail with my brothers." "Well, of course this won't be forgotten. However, this is neither the time nor place. This won't be forgotten," Caroline said. "Charlotte, go change into your equestrian things. And hurry." "Yes, ma'am," Charlotte said obediently, rushing off toward the changing areas, relieved to be running away from Thierry.
