LAST TIME:
Tai groaned in frustration and then grabbed Marshall’s arm. “Goodbye Brad.”
She could hear him calling after her as she got in the car. She flicked him off.
She turned to Marshall as she started the car. “Sorry about that Marshall.”
“Hey it’s alright. I know all about crazy exes. Believe me.”
CHAPTER SIX:
The ride to Marshall’s home was filled with a comfortable silence. The only sounds on the way, were when one of them would start laughing at her dogs when they growled at people passing by. They reached the gates to Marshall’s mansion and were let through. Tai drove up the rocky drive passing a large fountain.
When she got right next to it she stopped and looked out her window at it. It was a statue of a little boy peeing. Her brow furrowed and she turned to look at Marshall. “Why…do you have a Mannekin Pis statue on your property, Marshall?”
He laughed. “It was a gift.” He said with a shrug.
She rolled her eyes and continued up the drive. She parked next to a black BMW, and they both got out. Tai opened the back door and let her boys out.
“Come on lets go in.” Marshall said.

“Are you sure that you want Bear and Baloo to go through the house?” She asked.
“Yeah sure it’s fine.”
When they entered through the door Tai’s cell phone rang.
“Sorry.” She said with a grin. He shrugged.
“Hello?” Tai asked as she followed Marshall out the back door to the deck.
[Tai! Hey baby. Your car’s finished!]
Marshall was over with Dre and Curtis when they heard Tai laugh loudly. They turned to look at her to see that she was smiling big and bouncing up and down.
“Damn, Marsh. Your girl cleans up nice.” Dre said with a grin.
Marshall smirked.
[So when are you going to come and pick it up?]
“Are you sure it’s fixed this time Kelley?” Tai asked.
[Oh yes. That last time…the dent was hard to see.] Kelley finished lamely.
“Alright. I’ll come and get it now. You can take that piece of crap Nissan off my hands for me.” Tai said with a giggle.
[Yeah, all right. I’ll be waiting hun. Bye.]
“Bye.”
Tai turned off her phone and went over to Marshall, Dre, and Curtis.
“Hi guys. Nice seeing you again.” She smiled at them.
They nodded with a smile and said hello.
“Marshall. Ah, that was Kelley on the phone there, and she said that she has my car fixed finally. So, I’m gonna go and pick it up now and I’ll be back in like forty minutes.” Tai said.
“Yeah, sure. I thought that was your car though?” He said with grin while he motioned towards the front of the house. The guys laughed at the disgusted look that appeared on her face.
“Are you kidding?” She mock shuddered. “I’ll be at Al’s Body Shop, if you need me.” She said walking towards the door.
“And you’ll be back in forty minutes? It takes twenty just to get there.” Marshall asked with a raised brow. “Are you sure?”
She turned and winked at all of them. “Trust me Marshall, I’ll be back in forty minutes.” She called over her shoulder; “Keep an eye on my babies for me Marshall!”
The guys all looked down at the two dogs sitting at their feet.
Marshall yelled through the screen door, “Beans! Jaco! Get out here!” A pure white husky and a large white Shepherd with black pointed ears, came running though the dog door. As soon as they saw the other dogs they started barking and wagging their tails. “Go on.” The four dogs ran around the large backyard and then jumped in the pool and then back out again.
Marshall rolled his eyes. He was about to say something to the guys when his phone rang. “Hang on.”
“Hello?”
[Is this Marshall?]
“Arerell?”
[Yeah, I’m at the drive.]
“Cool, I’ll let you in the gate. Just get Rosa to show you to the back. Tai’s not here, though, she left to pick up her car at the shop.”
He heard her sigh. [Oh, I knew that bird, was gonna have that thing back in the shop again. It’s like got a sign on it that says ‘hit me!’]
“What kind of car is it?”
[She didn’t tell you?]
“No.”
[Well then it’s supposed to be a surprise. I’m in the house now. I’ll talk to you in a sec. Ta.] She hung up.
The guys turned to see the door open and were stunned by the beautiful girl that stepped out.
Of course Marshall thought Tai was prettier.
She had long silky black hair, pale creamy skin, dark olive eyes, long smooth legs that were shown off by the demin mini she was wearing and her shapely upper body and toned stomach were shown off with the stretchy cropped green tank she had on.
“Hello boys. My name’s Arerell.” She said in her English accent.<>
“My names Marshall.” He shook her hand when she lifted it.
Dre introduced himself and then shook her hand as well.
Arerell turned to look at Curtis and smiled. “Hi.”
“My name’s Curtis.” He kissed the back of her hand and she laughed. Her voice sounded smooth as silk.
“It’s nice to meet you all.” She looked at Marshall. “When will Tai get back?”
“She should be back in about twenty minutes.”
Arerell was about to say something when she heard dogs barking. She looked out over the backyard and smiled, showing off her pearly teeth. She walked to the edge of the deck and whistled loudly. The dogs stopped playing and Bear and Baloo ran towards her excitedly. “Hello boys!”
They barked nswenswer and lifted their paw to shake. She laughed again.

Tai pulled out of the driveway and drove to the city. Twenty minutes later she pulled into the body shop. She could see her car around the back in the lot. She got out of the car and went inside.
“Hello?” She called out.
“Tai!” A male’s voice called out.
She turned with a smile on her face and went around the desk to meet the man who looked to be in his fifties.
“Al!” She hugged him. “So, I heard that my car’s ready?”
“Oh, yes, it’s finished this time. Let’s go and have a look.” Al led her out to the back of the shop where they kept the expensive cars after they were finished.
Tai saw her friend Kelley standing near a bright red 2003 Ferrari Enzo Coupe.
Tai grinned big and rushed over to look at her car. She looked up at Kelley after she had finisinspinspecting it. “You did great work hun.” She hugged her. “Now I’ve got to go if I want to be at Marshall’s on time.” She took the keys and lifted the hidden handle.
“Oh, you met a man.” Kelley said with a smile.
“I’ll tell you about him later. Here are the keys to that piece of shit out front. Clean it out for me?” She sat in the low black leather seat and closed the door. Tai waved and started the car. It purred to life and she sped out of the lot and onto the road. Weaving in and out of cars until she stopped at a red light. She looked next to her and saw an ugly bright green corvette. “What some people do to their cars.” She muttered.
The girl in the car looked over at her and then at her car. She nodded to the light. Tai raised her brow and then nodded. “You wanna race babe, then get ready.” She said to herself with a wicked grin. She only did this off the track when there were no cars around. The light turned green and Tai press the gas. The other girl didn’t know what hit her. By the time she left the light Tai was already down the street.

Tai pulled up into Marshall’s driveway slowly. She didn’t want to have any rocks hit her car. She picked honked her horn a couple times to let Marshall know that she was here.

Marshall was having a talk with Proof—who had shown up with the rest of D-12 about five minutes after Arerell. They were discussing what happened with that girl at the studio earlier when he heard a horn. “She’s back.” He said with a grin. He looked over at Arerell—who was talking to Curtis, “Are you gonna stay back here?”
“Yeah, I’ll surprise her here.” She smiled.
“Ok. Come on guys.” He said to the ones who had said they wanted to see the car.
Marshall, D-12, and Dre walked inside and then out the front door.
“Holy shit, Marsh! Yer girl’s got a Ferrari!” Proof exclaimed.
Marshall didn’t even try to correct Proof when he said Tai was his girl. He and the rest of guys had been doing it since they had got to his house earlier. And if Marshall had anything to say about it, she would be his girl.
He saw Tai get out of the car and smile at him. “So what do you guys think?” She asked when they all reached her.
They started speaking at once sending compliments her way about the car. Marshall walked up to stand beside her. He placed his right hand on her lower back to catch her attention. “I have a surprise in the back yard for you, that I think you’ll like more than having your car back.” He said quietly. She nodded.
“Come on guys.” Marshall said and he led Tai back into the house and into the back yard. tn they got there Tai saw a tall girl talking with Curtis.
“Oh, you have another guest. Are you gonna introduce me to your friend Curtis?” Tai asked with a smile. He looked at her and grinned.
“What’s wrong Tai? Forget me so soon?” Arerell turned and looked at Tai with a grin.
Tai lost her smile in shock. She stared at her friend for a second not really believing that she was here. “Arerell?” She whispered brokenly.
Arerell nodded and her grin turned into a smile. “Well, don’t just stand there. Give me a hug you ducks.”
Tai laughed and threw her arms around her friend’s shoulders and held her tightly. She pulled back and smiled big. “Does mom know you’re here?” She whipped her eyes.
“No, I haven’t been by the restaurant yet.” She chuckled, “Oh, stop crying you silly bird. You’re gonna make me start!”
Tai giggled but she got herself under control. “Sorry.” She pulled Arerell over to the table and sat down. “So are you just in town?”
“No, I’ve come home.”
Tai laughed again. “This is wonderful!” She hugged her friend again. “I can’t wait to catch you up on everything.”
Arerell glance over at Marshall—who was talking to Dre, but looking in their direction, “Oh, yes, and I want to hear all about it.”
