One year later
When I was young, every Christmas Eve I could not sleep....
Stepping into the kitchen area, Justin couldn't help but smile as he felt a strange sense of déjà vu take over him. Having heard this particular Christmas song being blared out all over his hotel room for the last couple of months, he couldn't help but roll his eyes as he realized he knew every word to it.
Trying to catch that old St. Nick leaving presents under my tree. And every year I'd fall asleep laying in my bed, dreaming of a million sugarplums dancing in my head
Taking a second to place the groceries, he'd just brought, on the kitchen counter, Justin couldn't help but shake his head as he walked out of the kitchen; making his way towards the living room. And then, afterwards ascending up the flight of stairs that lead to his bedroom.
Their bedroom.
Oh how much joy it is at Christmas time. The spirit of giving is in our lives, oh, oh, how much joy it brings to see the ones you love. This year's gonna be the best Christmas because...
Reaching the top landing of the house, Justin couldn't help but stop and cringe as his girlfriend's singing grew louder. True, he had to admit she had one of the best voices he'd ever heard, but standing anywhere near her vicinity when she hit a high note was not his idea of a picnic. Or his idea of a nice way to lose his hearing.
"Some of the things I go through for this girl." Justin said, with a smirk, but also with a knowing look in his eye; one which told anyone who saw him and his girlfriend together that he wouldn't, if he could, change a damn thing about their relationship for anything.
There'll be family and Christmas cheer, peace and goodwill to all men. Everybody is home for Christmas, everybody is home.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Justin took the last two steps that put him right in front of his bedroom door, and afterwards braced himself for the loud noise of Christmas cheer he knew would soon envelop him as soon as he cracked the door open a little.

Sneaking a kiss under the mistletoe, want a white Christmas so let it snow...
Goofily prancing around the bedroom, Christina couldn't help but giggle as she sang along to her Christmas album.
Everybody is home for Christmas, Everybody is home...
Turning around to get the rest of Justin's clothes, so she could put them away in his, or better yet, their dresser drawer, Christina couldn't help but let out a scream as she realized she wasn't the only one in the room.
"Justin!"
Having watched her jump nearly a foot into the air, Justin couldn't help but grab his stomach in amusement as a deep set of chuckles took over him. "My God, Chrissy. You should've seen your face."
Glaring at her boyfriend, Christina picked up the first thing she laid her hands on-which just happened to be Justin's boxers-before fisting them into a ball and throwing them at the laughing hyena in front of her, "Very funny, asshole. You scared the living daylights outta me."
Seeing that she was really mad at him, or at least enough to throw underwear at him, Justin tried to salvage his giggles as he stepped further into the room; putting himself right in front of Chrissy. "Aww, baby, I'm sorry...but you scared me, too. I thought Santa had sent his elves down here, and was making Rudolph listen to your voice as a sort of punishment for them."
As soon as the words came out of his mouth, Justin knew Christina was going to have a long list of retorts to throw at him, so before Chrissy could even bother to open her mouth, Justin silenced her by quickly pulling her to his body; surrounding her lips with his.
Which unsurprisingly made her lose all train of thought.
"Mmm.." Christina moaned, after a second; pushing Justin off her, before slowly opening her eyes. "Damn boy."
Chuckling, Justin brought his lips back down to hers, before testing his theory as to whether he made her lose her train of thought or not, "So, what is it you were about to say?"
It took Christina a second, but afterwards a hint of confusion flashed over her face, causing her to spit out, "I forgot." Which caused the both of them to laugh.
After a few minutes of calming themselves down, Christina placed her arms around Justin's neck, and leaned into his embrace; an action which caused him to lay his chin down on her head. "I can't believe how good it feels to be home. I swear being on tour with you guys made me crave the days of peace and quiet."
Rolling his eyes, before softly chuckling, Justin couldn't help but smile at what Christina's idea of quiet meant.
"Well, we're home now, and if I was you I wouldn't start whining. I mean, no one told you that you had to come on tour with us, and if I remember correctly, you were the one who practically begged your manager to talk my manager into having a joint tour two, and I repeat, two weeks before our opening date. I'd have to say if anyone wanted to point a finger of blame at someone, it'd be pointing at you."
Rolling her eyes at his mocking tone, Christina waited a second before pulling back out of their embrace; nevertheless keeping their lower bodies fully intact, "Well, I don't know who could really blame me. I mean, the man that I was, and always am going to be in love with, was going on tour, and leaving me for almost a year. And I just had to do something to stop him..or atleast get him to see he loved me just as much as I loved him. Don't you think?"
Smiling, Justin considered what she was saying for a second, before nodding his head in agreement. Having come to the conclusion about a month ago that if Christina hadn't done what she did, and hadn't come on tour with the guys--they wouldn't be where they were today. But more importantly, he wouldn't be where he was today.
With that thought in mind, he sighed, before telling her what he was thinking; something that he had learned to do in the six months they'd been dating.
"With all joking aside...I am glad that you came. Not only because I needed someone who knew what I was going through at the time, but also because I didn't want to lose you again. I mean, Chrissy...we wasted so much time before, not that I'm saying Brit was a waste of time, but..you and I, we wasted so much time trying to deny our feelings for one another, and trying to tell ourselves that our night together was a one time thing--that we didn't see how good we were for each other. And...I'm just so relieved that we didn't have to waste nine more months before we kicked our stubbornness aside, and came out to one another about how we really felt. I don't think my heart could've lasted."
"Oh Justin..."
Noticing the small sets of tear that were soon about to fall down Christina's face, Justin couldn't help but pull her closer to him. Breathing in the exotic scent that was only known to him as "Chrissy".
~*~
As they both stood there for a few seconds, immune to anything else but one another, Justin couldn't help but smile as he realized just how much they needed each other in their lives. And just how much had changed in the past nine months because of that need.
It really was only slightly weird to him that it had all started with Britney telling him he had cheated on her, and than him telling her to leave..but not before giving her a kiss good-bye. One which ended their relationship, but thanks to the girl in his arms, and her words of wisdom, would hopefully lead to a friendship between the two in the future.
But it was extremely weird to him, that a year later, Justin found himself in the arms of the woman who had given him reason not to give up on love again. And was soon finding himself in love with that woman, engaged to that particular woman, and if the doctor was right, soon to be the father to that said woman's child. It weirded him out to no end..but it also excited him as well; making him wonder if life could ever be better than this.
"Justin..."
Opening his eyes, Justin snapped out of his thoughts, before slowly leaning backwards; hitting Christina with an identical, to hers, openly teary eyed gaze, "Yeah?"
The small flectors of green that were in Christina's blue eyes twinkled, as she guessed what he had been thinking about.
Their baby.
Shaking her head, Christina stood up on her tippy-toes, holding Justin for balance. And then, without a word kissed him softly on the lips; expressing to her fiancee, without words, just how much she loved him. And just how much she always would.
Forever...
