Perfect Harmony
The Beemer
School that week was slow, boring and awful. Her prison warden Miss Debbie was a breath away from getting an earful of Milee's personal opinion of her. Just when she was going to answer the woman's harping Milee's phone vibrated in her coat pocket. "Your pocket is vibrating." Debbie said, crossing her arms in an irritated manner. Screw you too, Milee thought. She answered the phone, not recognizing the number. "Hello?" A lovely deep accent drifted over the line. Gerard. She sighed to herself “Am I interrupting something?" Milee smiled for the first time that day. "Yes, but it’s a good thing." She walked away from Debbie without looking at her. "I was about to tell someone off." He chuckled. "I have a hard time visualizing that; I was calling to ask you a favor." Milee's heart skipped a beat. "Depends on the favor." She could see him grinning. "It's my mum's birthday soon and I can't think of anything she'd like. I always get her something cheesy, but it's her sixtieth and I'd like a woman’s opinion."
Milee laughed. "It's so nice to find out you're a normal mama's boy. I'd be glad to." She looked over her shoulder to find Miss Debbie still staring at her. "When and where?" She asked. "David said you get out of class at five." He said. "He is correct." She looked at her watch. "It's four now." she continued "So then is that woman behind you going to freak out if I kidnap you?" Milee's head whipped around to look out the front windows. Gerard was leaning against a gun-metal grey 2005 BMW M-3. Looking gorgeous in jeans and a white fisherman’s sweater. "Not if you come in here and sweet talk her into it." He grinned and hung up the phone. Holy shit, he was coming in. He walked right up to her, kissed her cheek and whispered in her ear. "Play along, and we'll spring you out of here." Milee shook her head. "I was kidding. It's my last day so I can pretty much tell her to kiss my ass. What's she gonna do? Kick me out?"
Milee walked up to her soon to be former instructor/prison warden. "Debbie, I'm going to leave. This is my friend Gerard, Gerard Debbie. I'll call you tomorrow for my transcripts if that's alright." Debbie was staring at Gerard with unabashed awe. "Not a problem, nice to meet you Mr. Butler." Gerard only smiled and followed Milee around as she gathered her things. "See all you have to do is look pretty and women fall at your feet." She tossed over her shoulder with a smile. "That's true, but you seem to be immune." Hell be damned she was. She just continued to smile. "Uh-hu."
She waved to people as she walked out the door and stopped to sigh at the gleaming beauty of his car. "Here." Gerard was holding his keys in front of her face with a gleeful grin on his face. "You're going to let me drive your car?" He shrugged. "Why not?" Milee didn't have to ask twice she snatched his keys before he could change his mind, purring with bliss when she slid into the buttery leather seat. She shivered when she turned the key and the engine purred to life. "Heaven, just heaven." she murmured as she pilled out onto the street. "So I see you like my car, any way I can charm you into having dinner with me?" She gave him a tart smile. "Just like an actor, plying a woman with his toys." she sighed, "I'm feeling rather weak willed, charm away."
