Chapter Six

When Frank woke up, Gerard was gone and Mikey was still asleep on the couch. Frank got up slowly, making his way to the couch and kneeling before Mikey’s sleeping form. He sighed, reaching out and petting Mikey’s hair lovingly. “I love you, Mikers.” He whispered, a few tears strolling down his cheeks. He bent down and kissed Mikey’s lips gently.

He got up and made his way to the bathroom, unaware of Mikey opening his eyes and smiling lightly, whispering “I love you too, Frankie.” and closing his eyes again.

When Frank came back to the room, Mikey pretended to wake up. “Hey…” Mikey said, smiling.

“Hey…” Frank said, making his way to Mikey, kissing his cheek. “How are you feeling? Are you hungry?”

“I’m okay. Not really hungry.”

“Oh, okay.” Frank said.

“Hum… Frank?”

“Yeah?”

“Can we go for a walk?”

“Sure.” Frank said. “Can you walk?”

“More a less. I guess you’ll have to help me.”

“Ok. Lemme just leave a note for Gee.” Frank said, writing down on a piece of paper that they were going for a walk. When Frank turned, he giggled at Mikey, who was trying to put his pants back on.

“Don’t tease me, dickhead. A little help here…” Mikey said, pouting and crossing his arms.

Frank smiled and made his way to Mikey, helping him get dressed. “Sorry. I couldn’t help it. Forgive me…” Frank said, pouting.

“God, why do you have to be so damn adorable?” Mikey asked.

Frank smiled. “Let’s go…” He said, helping Mikey up and wrapping one arm around Mikey’s waist.

They left the house and walked for a bit, in silence.

“Frank… thank you…” Mikey said, burying his face in Frank’s neck and hugging him when they stopped walking.

Frank sighed and hugged Mikey back. They stayed like that for a while, just enjoying being close to each other. They pulled back slowly after a while, looking deeply into each other’s eyes.

“I love you…” Frank whispered, cupping Mikey’s cheek. “You know that, right?”

Mikey nodded. “I love you too, Frank.”

Frank smiled and leaned in slowly, pressing his lips to Mikey’s, softly. They parted slowly, blushing deeply. “You…huh, wanna go back? I mean, Gee must be there and… I’m kinda hungry and…” Frank stuttered out, blushing a deeper shade of red.

“You’re adorable…” Mikey said, smiling “Yeah, let’s go back.”

They made their way back to the house. Gerard was already there and smiled at them, when he heard Mikey laugh. “I brought some food. You guys hungry?”

“I’m starving…” Frank said. “How ‘bout you Mikers?”

“I’m a little hungry…”

They made their way to the table. “What did you brought?” Frank asked.

“Pizza. Veggie for you, Frank.”

They ate quietly for a while.

“Man, I’m stuffed.” Frank said, burping loudly.

“You’re such a fucking pig, Frank…” Mikey said, letting out a burp.

“Ahaha. Now, who’s the pig?” Frank said, poking his tongue out at Mikey. Mikey poked Frank in the side, making him squeal. “Don’t do that!”

Gerard didn’t fail to notice the flirty mood between them and smiled slightly. It was good to see his brother smiling, after whatever had happened. He wanted to know, but decided to ask later. He didn’t want to spoil the mood now.

After eating, Gerard cleared the table, and Frank took Mikey to the small bed, helping him in. He leant down and kissed his forehead. “I’ll be right back, ok hun? Just gonna see if Gee needs any help.”

Mikey nodded. He didn’t know why the sudden change in Frank’s mood. He figured Frank was scared that he would do something to himself. But it didn’t mind, because deep down, he knew Frank loved him and just wanted to take care of him. And he was happy that way. Frank would help him forget that night.

As for Frank, he smiled slightly. He didn’t know what came over him to kiss Mikey the way he did, back in the forest. But it made Mikey smile, and that’s all it mattered. If it made him smile, it couldn’t be bad, right? Maybe he could help him forget about that awful night. He wanted to help Mikey, to show Mikey how much he loved him. He just had to go slow and everything would be fine.

Frank got in the kitchen area, where Gerard was clearing the table. “You need help?”

“Nah. I’m fine. Listen, do you think you can stay here with Mikey tonight? I just… I’m gonna head out to the hospital to fix things with the doctor.”

“Yeah, sure.” Frank said. “What are you gonna tell them?”

“Don’t worry. I’ll think of something. And then I’ll come and pick you guys up, so we can go home. Mikey will be more comfortable there.” Frank nodded. “I’ll be back soon.” Gerard said, wrapping his arms around Frank.

“Okay.” Frank said, returning the hug.

“See ya in a little while.” Gerard said, walking out the door.

Frank locked the door and made his way back to Mikey. “Gee went to the hospital to… well… fix things, I guess.” He said, sitting on the bed.

Mikey nodded. “Frank, will you stay with me?”

“Yeah.” Frank said, smiling and getting in bed.

Mikey snuggled close to Frank. Frank kissed the top of his head. “Get some sleep, hun. Gee will be back in a while and we can go home.”

“Will you stay with me? Back at home, I mean.”

“Do you think I’d ever leave you alone?! Never, my Mikey.” Frank said, looking deep into Mikey’s eyes.

Mikey smiled and pressed a quick kiss to Frank’s lips. “Thank you.”

Frank nodded. “Now, sleep.”
