Uruha woke up with a sore body and a heavy head – as they all usually do the morning after every live. His throat felt like it was going to disintegrate, his arms and legs felt like they were just about ready to fall off, he was good as dead.
After lying awake in bed for a minute, he finally made to sit up and slowly get up, before stumbling out of his room, wearing nothing but the pants he had on from last night.
He was hoping Rei had stayed the night and was hoping she’d still be asleep on the couch, maybe he could sit there and watch her for a while until the others woke up – it was still quite early in the morning and way too early for anyone to be awake.
However his heart was left disappointed to see that nobody was occupying the couch in the living room of the hotel suite.
‘I don’t think anyone’s awake yet…’ Uruha heard whispers, followed by the sounds of a door opening. He turned around, to find the source of the voices.
‘Rei-chan…?’ Uruha’s eyes grew wide as he caught her and Aoi coming out of Aoi’s room.
Aoi’s eyes widened in horror as he saw Uruha, watching them with a great deal of shock.
Rei blushed as Uruha’s eyes focused on what they were wearing – she was wearing one of Aoi’s Black Moral shirts and one of his boxer shorts, whilst Aoi was in nothing but the pants he wore last night.
Awkward silence washed through the suite whilst the three of them just stood there, staring at each other, waiting for one of them to say something or even move a limb.
‘Aaaarrgh!’ They heard a scream coming from Kai’s room.
The three of them rushed immediately towards Kai’s room, bursting in, struggling to get through the door at the same time.
‘Kai?’ Rei was first to get to Kai, who was curled up in a ball, his face wincing in pain. ‘Kai?’
‘Aaaargh!’ Kai wailed in pain.
Ruki wrapped in nothing but a towel and Reita in his boxer shorts hurried into the room seconds after Rei, Aoi and Uruha burst in.
‘Kai?’ Ruki’s face flushed with deep concern.
‘We should get him to the hospital.’ Rei said, sitting on the bed beside Kai, one of her hands on his forehead, checking his temperature, another hand on his arm, squeezing it in attempt to comfort him.
‘I’ll call for a car.’ Reita said, leaving the room immediately.
‘He’ll be okay…’ Aoi said, kissing the side of Rei’s head as the five of them waited around the hospital waiting room.
Aoi was seated between Aoi and Reita. Aoi had his arms around her, whilst Reita was holding her hands as she cried, her head on Aoi’s shoulder.
Uruha was standing nearby, leaning his back against a wall, whilst Ruki was pacing up and down the waiting room corridor.
Kai’s temperature had been high, when Rei touched his forehead back at the hotel, she could swear he was a volcano ready to burst out lava.
‘He’s sleeping now…’ The nurse came out of the room they’ve put Kai in.
‘What’s wrong with him?’ Ruki asked.
‘His body just had a break down from exhaustion, give him a rest and he’ll be fine.’ The nurse smiled warmly. ‘He’ll wake up this evening, right now we’ve put him to sleep.’
‘How come he was screaming like he was in so much pain?’ Aoi asked worriedly.
‘He was in a lot of pain.’ The nurse nodded. ‘It was a surge of pain from the exhaustion - he had joint and muscle pains, a headache and even abdominal pain. I don’t know what it is you guys get up to, but it needs to be put on hold for at least a week.’ The nurse advised them – it didn’t look like she knew who they were.
‘Thank you nurse.’ Ruki said, as the nurse nodded and left them.
‘You should all go back to the hotel, I’ll stay here with Kai, we have an interview in three hours, you should all get ready for that.’ Aoi said. ‘And Rei, you should go home.’
‘No, I want to stay with Kai!’ Rei argued.
‘Uruha, will you take her home?’ Aoi looked up to Uruha.
‘No, Yuu, I don’t want to go!’ Rei looked Aoi in the eye, begging to stay.
‘Rei, you should go home.’ Reita agreed.
She wasn’t in the best shape - she could use a shower and a short nap. No. She NEEDED a shower and a short nap.
Rei wasn’t in the mood to argue any further, she wanted to stay with Kai and Aoi, but there would’ve been nothing she could do and she was supposed to be at work before lunchtime. ‘Alright.’ She sighed. ‘I have to work anyway…’
‘Come back this evening?’ Aoi asked.
‘I’ll try and get out of work.’ She smiled tiredly before giving him a quick kiss on the side of his lips – on the lips, but not quite.
Uruha only glanced at him with envy.
‘Thanks Uru-chan.’ Rei smiled, thanking Uruha as he walked her to her apartment – he didn’t have to, he could’ve just dropped her off outside, but he insisted.
‘Rei-chan…’ Uruha leaned against the wall next to the door as she opened it.
‘Yeah?’ Rei looked up at the tall man as she saw that he was holding back something.
‘I… Rei-chan… is… anything going on with you and Aoi?’ Uruha asked.
Rei fell silence at his question, only looking in the man’s eyes, puzzled as to why it mattered. She had a feeling she knew why.
‘I…’ His tongue felt like it was stuck on the roof of his mouth. ‘Rei-chan…’ Heck with it, he thought as he made a sudden move to lean in and kiss her full on the mouth, catching her by surprise.
She didn’t pull away, but she didn’t kiss back either. She just stood there, frozen in shock, his mouth on hers. She blinked a few times, letting the situation sink into her brain before finally she made to push him away softly. ‘Uru-chan, I’m sorry…’
‘I know.’ Uruha smiled sadly.
They stood there in silence for a minute - neither of them knew what to say or do.
Rei ran her eyes slowly over the tall man before her – he was beautiful, she even dared to think he was more beautiful than Aoi. She’d known he had feelings for her for a long time, and she was never going to deny that she’d never found him incredibly attractive and that she did at one point imagine herself with him, but that didn’t make the situation any easier – Aoi was the one she was in love with, not Uruha.
‘Uru-chan…’ She didn’t know what to say, he’d been a good friend for a long time, she thought after all those years he would’ve stopped seeing her that way.
‘It’s okay.’ Uruha smiled sadly.
‘You going to the interview?’ Rei asked, trying her best to sound light-hearted and un-awkward.
‘No… I think it’s just Ruki and Reita. I’m just gonna go back to the hotel.’ Uruha said, clearing his throat in attempt to clear away the awkwardness.
‘You… wanna come in for breakfast?’ Rei offered. ‘It would be nice to have someone to spend the morning with for a change.’ She shrugged.
She was lonely. She was with Aoi last night, but she’d been lonely for too long. It didn’t have to be a lover - she’d just had enough of spending time on her own. And she may as well get used to having Uruha around, she WAS going to be on the road with them soon.
‘What about Aoi?’ Uruha asked.
‘What about, Aoi?’ Rei asked back. She wasn’t gonna do anything with Uruha, she was only going to feed him breakfast.
At least that’s what SHE had in mind.
He might’ve had a different idea.
‘So you coming in?’ Rei asked after about a minute’s silence.
‘Yeah, of course.’ Uruha smiled as she opened the door to let them in.

Note: yeah, this chapter was just to set up Uruha and Rei.
I am aware it was a bit awkward and I’m sorry >.< my head is crammed with college-work at the moment, so it’s not working very well. Hopefully next chapter is a bit better.
