Chapter 6

Daisuke was walking through the hallway of the school, looking sad. He had to always listen how others talked mean about him. He had got used to it past these years but it still felt very bad to hear and see what other students thought of him. It could be seen from their mean, sometimes grinning faces. They all thought that he was a geek and no one wanted to be his friend, no one. No one except Kaoru.

Well, he really was the best in their class, as was Kaoru too, but why was it so horrible? Okay, he didn't look good, he didn't care what he looked like and that was one of the reasons no one liked him. And if someone ever talked to him, he was so shy and... Daisuke sighed heavily. When he was younger, nine or ten years old he had started to cry in front of everyone, in front of his class. He had been having a speak in class and... he had been so scared of what others were thinking. So he had started to cry. Everyone had first been shocked and then they had started to laugh at him. And soon the whole school had known about it. That was when the teasing had started and it had never really stopped. But luckily he had his best friend Kaoru.

"Ha! Look! There goes the crybaby! Aaaaaw!" some good looking girl giggled to his friends. "No one dares to even speak to him. If they would, I'm sure that he would start crying again. That's what Takerou said. He is soooo geek."

"Really?" the other girl laughed. "Well, that's what he looks like. I have never understood why the nerds want to look like that. See? Big glasses and everything... It seems like they want to be bullied."

Daisuke fastened his speed and turned around the corner, grabbing the wall to calm down. How could people be so mean? Everyone of them were stupid assholes and bullied him! He hated them and didn't want to be in this school, but this was the last year and then he would be free...

"Daisuke-senpai", he then heard a yawn and turned around, seeing a familiar face in front of him. It was Shinya Terachi, his student. "Daisuke-senpai", the younger boy said again. Daisuke looked at the eight grade boy, a little shocked. All the others were looking at them, whispering something to each other.

"What?" he asked quietly.

"I just... came to bring you this", Shinya sighed and Daisuke took the offered mathematics exercise from the younger boy. "You asked to bring it back. It's done now."

"Oh, okay..." Daisuke whispered shyly, hiding behind his bangs. "Thank you..."

"WOW! NICE ASS!" they heard a voice behind Shinya and Shinya's face turned bright red as some boy slapped his ass hard. "NOW THAT'S WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT! I'M THE FIRST ONE TO FUCK THAT!!!"

"DO I LOOK LIKE A GIRL, WHAT?!" Shinya shouted and turned around facing the boy, looking very pissed off. "WHAT?! YOU CAN FUCK A CAR'S EXHAUST PIPE IF YOU'RE SO IN NEED!!! YOU FUCKING PERVERT!"

"Damn, it was a guy!" the boy said shocked and ran away with his friends, not turning to look back. Shinya turned around again, watching Daisuke who was also as red as a tomato.

"Fucking imbeciles", Shinya said angrily. "They must be blind. I have a boys' school uniform and everything but they still don't get it. They are all just sick perverts... Does having a long hair make you a girl?!"

Both went silent and Daisuke felt very awkward about the silence so he sighed heavily and said: "Well, I must go to have lunch now downstairs. I'm so hungry." And he took a step towards stairs but instead of letting him go, Shinya said: "I'm coming with you. I'm also hungry. I haven't eaten anything the whole day."

"Excuse me? Are you serious? You can't come there with me ", Daisuke sighed. "It would be... odd. Your reputation-"

"Hah! You're such a coward. I can eat with anyone I want, I'm not afraid what happens to my reputation. Anyone who has something to say about me eating with you will be dead", Shinya bragged. "Let's go now. I'm hungry like I said."

"Okay then..." Daisuke muttered, thunderstruck.

They began walking downstairs and noticed that everyone was watching them. No one was used to see Daisuke with any other student than Kaoru. Daisuke felt odd to have someone else walking with him, but... it was also... kind of nice.

Downstairs they walked past health class and Daisuke stopped right there in front of the open door. Shinya stopped too, glaring at Daisuke questioningly, turning his head to watch were Daisuke were looking at. In the class was Kaoru sitting in teacher's desk and discussing something with Gackt-sensei.

"Kaoru!" Daisuke coughed. Both Kaoru and Gackt turned to look at them with wide eyes.

"Oh, but isn't it Daisuke", Gackt said and walked to them, smiling kindly. Kaoru followed him right behind and stopped to stand next to his teacher, looking a bit guilty. Both Daisuke and Shinya noticed this but didn't say anything. "Are you going to have some lunch?" Gackt asked.

"Yup", Daisuke answered and looked at his teacher straight in the eyes, almost blaimingly. "Did I interrupt something? What was going on there?"

"Oh, I was just talking with Kaoru about his good grades", Gackt said and turned his attention to Shinya. "It is very nice that you are friendly with new students, Daisuke."

"Kaoru, come. Let's go eat!" Daisuke said, glaring at his best friend. Kaoru nodded and joined Shinya and Daisuke. They began walking towards lunchroom. "And do not forget, Kaoru!" they heard Gackt shouting.

Daisuke looked at his best friend, shaking his head, lifting a brow. "What is it that you are not supposed to forget, Kao-kun?" he asked. Kaoru blushed, answering quietly: "Gackt-sensei promised to give me a ride home today..."

"What?" Daisuke asked, looking at Kaoru like he was mental. "Why are you going home with him again? Can't you go by bike anymore?"

"He wants to discuss with me about school", Kaoru answered. "I have some troubles and..."

" You are having problems in school? I don't believe you. You are as nerd as I am!" Daisuke said. "The only subject that you should be worried about is mathematics! Didn't you hear how Yoshiki threatened you this morning? And you just worry about-"

"Come on, let's just go eat, alright?!" Shinya snapped. Kaoru turned to look at the younger boy, smiling softly. "Oh, I almost forgot that we have company here... Hello, Shinya. Where is your 'nice' pal Tooru?"

"Tooru can't join us", Shinya whispered, suddenly sounding sad.

"Oh what a shame", Kaoru said desperately. He didn't like Tooru at all and he didn't want him to join them. "Why hasn't he showed up in school for a while?"

"Because he... he was almost killed few days ago", Shinya answered sadly.

"TOORU!" Shinya laughed, running to hug his best friend, throwing his arms around his neck. "Tooru thank god you are back! I am so happy to see you again!"

"OH, NOT THAT FUCKING TOORU AGAIN?!" Kyo groaned again angrily, pushing his friend away from him. "DIDN'T I TELL YOU THAT IT IS KYO, NOT TOORU?!"

Shinya was shocked for a moment but started to look at Tooru from head to toes. "You look... terrible", he whispered horrified. "Wasn't it... Kei and his friends? I wasn't told anything but that you were... almost killed."

"Yeah... But I don't want to talk about it anymore", Kyo muttered head down. "Let's talk about it some other time if it's okay with you? I am thirsty, let's go and drink something."

"Hi, Kyo", they heard a voice behind them. They turned around and saw Toshiya standing there, looking shy. He had been there the whole time but they hadn't noticed him until now.

"Hi, Toshiya..." Kyo answered quietly. Shinya looked at the black haired boy angrily. "How does Toshimasa know to call you Kyo?!"

Kyo was quiet for a long time until he muttered: "Without him I wouldn't be here..." Shinya lifted his brow and Kyo continued. "I could have died if Toshiya didn't come and rescue me. Kei, Mizuki and Yuki... and Yuki's brothers Hiyuki and Mitsuya beat me and he saved me. He took me to principals office. I owe him so much..."

Kyo looked at Toshiya shyly and saw him smiling friendly. "Kyo, it is I who owe you", Toshiya sighed.

"Yes, you really do owe him!" Shinya shouted. "You have no idea what Kyo has gone through because of you and your disgusting friends!!!"

"I... I really am sorry about everything. I said bad things about you, Kyo, and bullied you so many times. I just... I just wanted to be cool and popular here and..."

"It's okay. I understand", Kyo muttered. "And I'm not angry..."

"But Toshiya's friends are such an assholes!" Shinya hissed. "And he is too! You can't forget that! He's just trying to fool you!"

"They are NOT my friends anymore!!!" Toshiya hissed back. "And is that what you think of me?! I am not what you think!!! People change."

"You don't fool me!" Shinya hissed. "I know what kind of people you are! Go back to your friends!"

"Like I already said, they aren't my friends!" Toshiya shouted. "Not after what they did to Kyo!"

"Well that's the good idea!" said Kaoru who had followed Shinya from lunch room with Daisuke. Toshiya looked at his two senpais eyes widened and looked at Kyo with a questioning look. Kyo shrugged his shoulders.

"What are you doing here, Niikura and Andou?" Toshiya asked rudely. Kyo looked very pissed off too.

"Huh? We were having lunch with Shinya", Daisuke answered.

"And I am as happy as you two for this company", Kaoru noted when Kyo was glaring at him angrily.

"Why were you eating with them?!" Kyo asked Shinya.

"Well that's a really good question!"

Everyone turned to look behind them and swallowed hard. Everyone except Kaoru who was used to be calm with bullies. "Kei Miyazaki, Mizuki Takayama, Yuki Okabe... and Okabe's robust twins!" he sighed and grinned. Five boys came closer warningly.

"Watch your mouth, Niikura!" Mitsuya hissed.

"You have no business here", Daisuke whispered behind his bangs, very scared, eying Okabe's twins. "Principal Manabu told us..."

"Oh, is that so? So the geeks always hear first?!" Kei snapped. Now Daisuke was hiding behind his bangs even more. He couldn't help it, he was afraid.

"Fuck you!" Shinya shouted. "Trying to be cool, huh?!" He was looking very furious. It seemed almost that if he had had an axe he would had killed them all.

"Wow, I think we should be scared now?" Hiyuki laughed and glared at Shinya, shaking his head. "When that kind of greasy hair starts to threaten someone-"

"You are expelled from school so you have no business here!" Kaoru said calmly.

"Yeah, we know. And who might be the responsible of it? Umm, let's think... Can you remember, guys? Who told the principal about us?" Mizuki hissed and then all five of them were glaring at Toshiya. Toshiya gulped behind Kyo and Daisuke. All five bullies started to walk towards him and pushed Daisuke out of their way. Daisuke didn't mind and hid behind Kaoru's back. But Kyo - who was now gritting his teeth like a bloodlusting dog - didn't step aside.

"Oh... my... god!" Kei started to laugh. "Look! Our little Toshiya has got himself a boyfriend... Isn't it cute, guys? They are such a perfect couple!" After that he spit on Kyo's shoes.

"You are going to regret that!" Kaoru hissed between his teeth.

"Well, it warms my heart to know that cute little Totchi has friends when we are not around", Yuki said, sounding disgusted. "He may even get laid! That little creature called Tooru won't mind when someone is FINALLY interested!"

"That's it!" Kaoru shouted now and shoved the bullies away. "You have no right to come here! You are expelled! Go away! Shoo shoo!"

"Aaaaaw... Niikura is angry... Should we flee?"

"What is going on here?!" came a shout from the stairs. Gackt-sensei was heading towards them, with hands on his hips. When he saw Kei and his friends, his face dropped. "I knew it. Out, now!!!"

"And you think that we are listening to you? No hard feelings but... you can't expect us to obey a faggot like you. What? Are you a little furious now? Oh boy, we should run. Maybe he's going to rape us all..."

"OUT! OUT!" Gackt shouted. "YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS HERE, YOU KNOW THE RULES! YOU ARE EXPELLED! SO GET LOST, YOU FUCKING BRATS!"

Everyone watched Gackt in silence. They had never seen Gackt-sensei furious, this was the first time. He was always so calm and kind so this was very shocking indeed.

"Okay. Let's go", Kei hissed then, giving the last warning look for Toshiya. "Toshiya, this isn't over yet. You can be sure of that..."

"Hah! I knew that you're nothing but cowards!" Kaoru said loudly and in a second Mitsuya had hit Kaoru to his nose. There could be heard a loud shout and soon Kaoru was lying in the floor, hands over his face. "Waaah!" he shouted in shock and then he started to sob.

"YOU WILL REGRET THAT, MITSUYA OKABE!" Gackt shouted eyes widened and started to run towards the boys. "OUT!!! NOW! OR I'LL CALL THE POLICE!!!"

"Like they would care!" Mitsuya hissed. "And that bastard deserved it. Always trying to be soooo cool and number one in everything! Damn geek. He deserved to be punished. Look at him... Aaw, little crybaby."

"And the same thing will happen to that fucking faggot Totchi if we found him outside school", Hiyuki said. "There will be no escape."

"OUT!" Gackt shouted again and the bullies didn't have any other choice than flee and fast. Toshiya, however, managed to see Kei to form words - that were meant to him - with his lips: We will kill you.

All kneeled to see how Kaoru was doing, even Toshiya and Kyo. "Is everything okay, Kaoru-kun?" Daisuke asked carefully. Kaoru just kept crying and when Kyo pushed his hands away from his nose there was blood all over his face. Blood was dripping to floor and also his clothes. "Oh shit", Shinya whispered. Daisuke seemed to feel very sick. He couldn't stand seeing blood, he always started to feel weak when he did.

"Oh Kaoru..." Gackt breathed and lifted Kaoru to his arms, hugging him tightly. "Kaoru... We must get help", he whispered and left the others stand there, while he left with Kaoru in his arms. Everyone stared after them, not understanding anything. Especially Daisuke was shocked.

"Believe me, there's something odd between those two", Toshiya whispered in Kyo's ear. Kyo nodded in agreement.

Half an hour later Kaoru was sitting in Gackt's car's front seat, heading home. Gackt had promised to bring him home so he could rest. Radio was playing some old hit. Kaoru was quiet, he just stared at his teacher behind his glasses. His teacher seemed to be still shocked of what had happened.

"Umm... sensei?" he managed to whisper when Gackt slowed down in front of Kaoru's house. Gackt turned his head, looking at him questioning. "Does it still hurt?" Gackt asked worriedly.

"No, not much", Kaoru answered. "I just... want to thank you."

"You're welcome", Gackt sighed. "I got so scared when Mitsuya hit you."

"Thanks for worrying about me", Kaoru whispered. "How can I... compensate this for you? You even brought me home in the middle of a school day..."

"You don't have to pay me back", Gackt said softly, parking his car.

"I have to! You are always so good to me! Always..."

Gackt looked at him smiling, and then turned his gaze to the car's wheel, thinking something. "Well, if you want to do something for me..."

"What is it?"

"You could come to dinner in my house", Gackt answered shyly. "I'm so lonely and I miss company. I would be so happy if you came to my house this evening."

"I... I understand", Kaoru muttered.

"Promise that you'll come", Gackt begged and finally Kaoru nodded. "I promise."

Gackt smiled happily and before the boy managed to say anything else he had pulled Kaoru closer and pressed his full lips to the boys own. Kaoru's stomach felt like it was full of hundreds of butterflies again and he breathed heavily, closing his eyes. Gackt's lips felt so lovely again... He answered to the kiss and it became sweet and cute. Gackt didn't use any tongue and Kaoru felt relieved because he had never kissed like that.

How ever, kiss deepened and soon Gackt was kissing him hard against the car's seat. Their lips were moving against each other's passionately and Kaoru felt something burn in his crotch. But right away after that Gackt pulled away and they both smiled shyly.

Kaoru couldn't believe this. Once again his head was full of questions. They had kissed again. This was the second time... They hadn't talked about it, they just kept kissing. Kaoru knew that there was something between them. But was it lust or love?

"I think I should go now", Kaoru muttered silently. Gackt nodded and said: "Come at seven o'clock."

A/N: Omg, Kaoru is in trouble :> Young love... Next chapter is just about Kyo and Toshiya, but I'm not sure if they get very close. I'm quite sure it will take time to make them a couple, because first of all: they are just getting to know each other. I also think that Kyo wouldn't like if Toshiya started to flirt with him too soon. :D And second: I don't want to hurry. I'm planning to make this fic at least 20 chapters long.

And oh by the way, Tossu_Panda was hoping in her review that poor principal Mana would get someone too. What do you think? I feel sorry about him too. He's so nice and kind and... so alone. :´( Maybe I could think of something when I have first paired these main characters.
