|| Tom’s POV ||
I watched the girls in their drunken stupor, dancing with each other and laughing when one of them would surprise the other by groping her ass or run long nails across the others arm or neck. The one on the receiving end would freeze for a moment before laughing and continuing to dance again. It was amusing, but not as much as it was sexy.
They had changed before we came to the bar. Sonnie had taken her hair out of the braids- it was the first time I had seen her without them. Her hair was crimped tightly from them and it was worn down. It looked amazingly cute. They could almost be sisters, identical skirts and corsets propping their boobs up. I hated them for doing that; nearly every guy in the bar was staring at them. I was too busy trying to look out for my new mates that I was hardly even drinking. At least Bill wasn’t either.
I had only turned my head away from them for a second, just to actually take a drink of the beer I had ordered ages ago and when I looked back, they were no longer alone and I scowled deeply. They were no longer dancing with each other, but with some guys. I don’t think I would have been as pissed if both of them hadn’t been in the center of their own circle surrounded my more guys then I could count in my pissed off state. “What the hell are they doing? They’re going to get hurt…” Bill murmured, shaking his head and sipping from the mixed drink in his hand.
I should be out there too, dancing with as many girls as possible and picking one to be a good lay tonight. But I wasn’t, I was to busy watching out for them. “Go fucking stop them then,” I hissed at my twin, I was pissed. He could tell. I wasn’t about to go near them because I knew I’d want to punch every guy in the face.
I couldn’t even see Sonnie anymore, the circle of guys around her had closed. But I could see long black nails stroking some guy’s neck and a pale, bare leg wrapped around his waist. What the fuck was she doing? Bill had gotten up, walking over to where Abbie was flirting with some guy, laughing and flipping the dyed red hair over her shoulder. She giggled at him, leaning in to kiss him when Bill tapped on her shoulder. It only distracted her from the guy.
Abbie turned her head, smiling at Bill and wrapping long fingers around his neck before pulling him towards her and pressing her lips to his. I saw my twins eyes widened with surprise, but not pull away at first. It took him a minute to register what had happened and he pushed on Abbie’s shoulders with a small shiver and biting down on his lip, “Abbie… it’s time to go back to the hotel, okay?”
Abbie giggled a little, latching her arms around Bill’s shoulders. “Oooh! Back with you? Okay!” She said and the guys around the two of them had scowled. Bill looked at me, pointing with the hand that wasn’t around Abbie’s waist to Sonnie, telling me it was my job to go get her. Just fucking great.
I wasn’t near as nice about it as Bill was, I didn’t want to do it. I stalked over to the group of guys, pulling back two of them by the scruffs of their necks to see Sonnie grinding against one of them and licking her lips at him. He grinned and leaned down to capture that wicked tongue between his teeth. I was not going to allow that. I grabbed Sonnie by the back of her neck, causing her to squeal and let go of the guy. She looked up at me, glaring. “Tom,” she hissed, batting my hand away from her, “Go away, I’m dancing.”
I didn’t point out that what she was doing couldn’t even be considered dancing anymore, just grabbed her wrist, “You’re pissed, come on. It’s time to go before David shoots us for being out to late.” She huffed at me, whining incoherently and trying to tug out of my grasp. I wasn’t dealing with this. I turned around quickly, grabbing Sonnie around the waist and hoisting her over my shoulder, ignoring her cries to be let down and something about me manhandling her like a piece of meat. I had no idea what she was saying, and honestly, I didn’t care.
“Man, if she wants to stay, let her stay. What are you, her dad or something?” The guy I had just pulled her away from had stopped in front of me, blocking my path from Bill and Abbie waiting impatiently for me by the door.
“No, I’m her fucking band mate and unless you want a seriously pissed off body guard on your hands, you’re going to back off. She’s drunk, and I don’t need some fucking dick head hurting her.” I hissed. Normally, I wouldn’t have even mentioned Saki, but as it was, he was already walking over to us to see what was taking me so long to get Sonnie.
The guy looked around as soon as Saki’s large shadow covered him and he fell silent, looking between Saki and I until he just turned and walked away, muttering under his breath. Sake offered to take Sonnie from me but I just shook my head- she already hated me. We didn’t need her hating our body guard as well.
The ride back to the hotel wasn’t bad, at least Sonnie wasn’t complaining anymore, the second she and Abbie were reunited they squealed like school girls and chatted drunkenly about the guys they had met. “His name was… uhm… god, I don’t remember,” Abbie laughed but waved her hand, “But it doesn’t matter! Because he was HAWT! With a total capital ‘H’.”
“Yeah, I knoooow.” Sonnie giggled more, wrinkling her nose in a cute way, “They were all hot, especially this one guy, I think his name was Connor… or maybe Raphael... but who cares. I totally could have had him!” They squealed together, grabbing onto each others hands and bouncing in their seats. The ride couldn’t have been over soon enough.
Bill and I had to nearly drag the girls into the hotel and to the elevators. One we got them in their room we’d be safe. I could lock them in their and not have to worry until morning. “Abbie!” Sonnie squealed, eyes widening at her friend, “Do you know what this reminds me of?” She asked, a wide grin spreading across her face.
“Neunundneunzig Kriegsminister?” Abbie asked, and Sonnie nodded wildly until they had both started singing the damn verse on the way up… over… and over… and over again. “Neunundneunzig Kriegsminister. Streichholz und Benzinkanister. Hielten sich für schlaue Leute. Witterten schon fette Beute, Riefen: Krieg und wollten Macht. Mann, wer hätte das gedacht? Daß es einmal so weit kommt, Wegen neunundneunzig Luftballons. Neunundneunzig Luftballons!”
I thought that was the end of it, the end of the girls driving us completely insane with their drunken antics. Note to self: Never. Ever. Ever. Let them drink again. They turn into four year olds. Seriously.
“Sonnie! Sonnie! Sonnie!” Abbie cried out, grabbing Sonnie’s hands and pulling her away before we could force them into the room, “Superstar Sonnie! Oh please, please, please!” She begged and Sonnie laughed, nodding and they both stood face to face, backs straight and hands out and Abbie started singing, “I am a superstar with a big big house and a big big car, I am a superstar and I don’t care who you are. I am a superstar with a big big house and a big big car. I am a superstar and I don’t care who you are.”
“Got many money Honey, I’m a superstar. My life is funny honey, Have you seen my car? I know a lot of people, I’m a superstar. Everybody know me, right from near to far,” Sonnie took over the words while Abbie laughed the two of them paying some weird drunk girl version of patty-cake in the middle of the hall, hands hardly ever actually hitting the others since they were so drunk. Bill gave me a horrified look.
“Okay! We’re done playing Patty-Cake now!” I called to them, walking over and pulling them away from each other, pushing Abbie over to Bill and hoisting Sonnie over my shoulder again. She just laughed this time, and Bill and I finally got them into their room. I dropped Sonnie on the bed and Abbie jumped on it next to her. They were already singing again before Bill and I got out of the room.
“For fucks sake, they aren’t drinking again. Ever. I never thought I’d see those two act like kids like that. I was under the impression that they never were kids!” I told my twin, walking into our own room and falling on my own bed completely exhausted.
Bill looked as worn-out as I did, falling to his own bed and crawling under the covers without even bothering to change, “I know, Tomi. But, it was their first show and they did do well. We had to let them have their fun- and we stopped it in time.” Bill said, why was he sticking up for them? “I mean, even if Abbie was totally drunk, she was adorable… and she could still kiss.”
“Ewe!” I whined, putting my hand over my face to block out the mental picture of what I had seen earlier, “Come on, Bill. I didn’t need to hear that. Those girls are like... I don’t know. Sisters to us or something.” Okay, really bad analogy, consider what Sonnie had already done to me, but I didn’t want to picture Bill with Abbie before I was going to sleep.
“Well, it’s true…” Bill murmured in a tired voice, “Besides, Abbie was upset, she deserved a night out. She wasn’t acting like a whore or something; she didn’t bring anyone back to the hotel room. She was just dancing and having a good time.” He kept mentioning Abbie; I couldn’t help but notice it. If I didn’t know any better- I’d say my little brother was crushing on Abigail Ackerman. I didn’t get a chance to ask him though; he was asleep before I could form my thought into words.
