A/N: Okay, so this chapter is really long because I'm just too lazy to split it up into two different parts. :-P But anyways, hope you enjoy! No long author's note on this, and hopefully will have at least one other chapter up before I crawl off to hide away from the sunlight. Hehehe. :)

Even after a little time, Rebecca still found the little incident where she had walked in on Ryan and Cat funny. So it was no surprise that while they were in the car heading to the florist’s shop to sort out the flowers for the wedding that she would still be a little giggly. After all, she had teased the couple a little before she had left with Cat to do their part of the shopping while the boys met again to try and sort out the food and such for the wedding. She couldn’t resist teasing Cat again as her friend’s face was as bright a red as she had ever seen it. Well, perhaps with the exception of a few times Cat and Ryan had been caught making out during the first stage of their relationship. She gave her friend a smirk before launching back into the good-natured teasing.
“That ought to teach you to keep it in the bedroom.”
“Honestly, like you've never had sex before?”
Becca laughed and wiggled her eyebrows playfully. She knew that Cat would more than likely be a little grossed out, but she couldn’t resist having a little fun at her friend’s expense.
“Wouldn't you like to know?”
“No, I'd rather not know. So... let's see here...”
It was obviously by both Cat shaking her head and the look on her face that probably the last thing Cat wanted to hear was if Becca and Patrick were having sex or not. Good thing too, because if Cat had played along, Becca would have lost out. Instead Cat parked the car in the lot for the square where not only the florist shop was located, but also Viviana’s boutique was as well.
“Alright, florist first, as that should be quick. Mum had the arrangements sent here for me to inspect. This florist is actually a friend of hers who lived in England until roughly the past five years or so, therefore I am quite concerned here. This woman is just as much a perfectionist as Mother!”
Uh oh. From what Becca had heard and the very little she had seen of Cat’s mom, she was one scary lady. And Becca was certainly not looking forward to the appearance of the older woman. After all, one overbearing mother was enough, right? Although just as they stepped into the florist shop, she jumped at her cell ringing.
“Hello? Oh Ivy... Okay running late, we'll just meet you at Viv's boutique in say an hour or so? Good.”
Not two seconds after she had closed her cell phone it rang again. Wow, was she popular today, or what. She pulled it open and smiled seeing it was April.
“April! Glad to hear you're finally back in town... You do remember the shopping plans for today, right? Okay good, I'll see you later then.”
As she closed her cell again, Becca playfully held it out in front of her as if waiting for another marathon call. But shook her head with a roll of her eyes as nothing else happened. She turned to Cat with a grin.
“Ivy will be a little late, given that she was a bit... Preoccupied. If you ask me, she was probably having sex with Pete again. I am telling you, they will wind up with ten kids within the next five years!” She leaned against the counter lazily, while glancing around. “Oh and April is on her way. Actually, she's coming straight from doing some errands of her own.”
Becca smiled as Cat nodded with a nod before ringing the bell on the counter. “Good, then we can get this planning underway. I suppose you and I can handle flowers, well and perhaps April. And yeah, I overheard... Ivy's meeting us at Viv's, right?”
She nodded to Cat’s question, curiosity already starting to hit. “Yeah... So just what flowers did your mother choose?” She glanced around the shop trying to think of what the older woman would have chosen, and hoping that it wouldn’t be anything too gaudy or horrid looking. Although just as she was about to reach out and see if a particularly lovely looking arrangement was real or silk, she heard a voice pipe up from the back and she jumped, tucking her hands behind her back.
“Catrianna, it seems as if only yesterday you were merely this high. Now, you're off and getting married? Marrying well, I hear...A famous musician. Now isn't that wonderful, living the glamour of a celebrity wife. I'm sure many girls would kill to be in that position.”
Becca managed to keep from gagging at the sugary tone of the older woman. God, poor Cat. To have such a mom as to plan her wedding out without giving too much say to Cat. And having to put up with such a woman. Although at the woman’s implications that Cat was only marrying for the status, Becca stiffened. After all, she was engaged to a famous musician as well, along with being related to another. Plus she knew that Cat and Ryan were so in love with each other that they couldn’t see straight. Although when Cat glanced over with a smirk, Becca knew they were both thinking about Amber, and how she had been.
“Oh, I'm sure... But yes, this is Rebecca Wentz, the Maid of Honour. Becca, this is Janine Cuthridge, a dear friend of my mother's
Becca shook hands with the other woman, unable to keep from flashing her own engagement ring before the other woman. Sure it might seem a little childish, but Becca noticed the glint of work related curiosity in the other woman’s eyes. No doubt she was hoping to get Becca’s wedding business as well. That would just have to be seen.
“Very well, come with me to the gardenhouse, where the florists are working on the arrangements as we speak.”
Becca followed Cat and the florist off towards the back, and as soon as they reached the greenhouse, she was in awe at the vast array of flowers and such. It was gorgeous, to tell the honest truth. Becca also realized what a hard decision it would be to pick out the flowers for her own wedding. Although she turned her attention back to the florist at the sound of her voice.
“I'm not sure if this will do... The edges are a tad bit smudged, you see? Try it again.”
Becca raised an eyebrow at the florist. She couldn’t see anything wrong with the flower, it looked beautiful in her opinion, but then again, she wasn’t the florist. And from the look on Cat’s face, she agreed with Becca. Although they heard a rather loud voice coming from the front of the store, and Becca giggled, instantly recognizing the voice.
“Of course my name isn't on the appointment book, I'm not the bride. I'm meeting her here.”
“That would be April, I'll show her the way.”
Becca made her excuse before heading back out to the front of the store where she saw April and walked over with a smile before giving her friend a hug. She had felt bad about not having talked with April over the length of the trial and had apologized over the phone earlier, only to be reassured that there was no reason for apologizing. April had apparently gone out of state to visit some family and had spent some time off with Gabe as well. Apparently the two were quite the couple now, and Becca was happy for them both.
“April! I’m so glad to see you! God, I thought you had forgotten about me.”
“Nope, just had other things on my mind. No offense, but Gabe is much more attractive than you. So you can see why my attention would wander.”
Becca shook her head laughing at her friend. Yep, she had missed April. Her witty sense of humor probably would have been very welcome during the trial. But then again, perhaps it was better that April had been out of town, as Becca knew that she had refused all visitors.
“Come on, let’s get back to Cat before the woman kills her.”
As they walked back into the greenhouse area, Becca frowned to herself seeing something on April’s hand. Surely she hadn’t gotten engaged as well without letting someone else know. Although after she looked at it again, it looked more like a wedding ring, which was an even bigger surprise. Although Cat’s squeal and hug took precedence, for the moment at least.
“APRIL!!! It's been far too long!”
“April, what is that around your finger?”
April playfully held up her left hand as if just noticing the ring on her finger. Sure enough, there was a wedding ring on her finger. “Hmm last time I checked, it was a wedding band.”
Becca’s mouth dropped open. April had gotten married, and not told anyone?! “APRIL! What in the name of God... When did this happen?”
“It's okay Becca, easy breaths... in...out...in...” April laughed with a raised eyebrow at Becca’s outburst.
“April ---“ Becca took a breath to calm down for a moment before fixing April with a glare that might have turned the slightest person to stone. “April... do explain.”
April shrugged as if it was nothing. “Alright, alright... Well, when we were in Vegas last month, we got drunk... And apparently we woke up in a honeymoon suite with wedding bands. What did we do? Shrugged, and decided to give the sex another go. So, I guess we're married. Surprisingly, so far so good...”
At April’s mention of sex, Cat squeaked, obviously still embarrassed about the little webcam incident. April laughed with a bit of a smirk on her face. “Oh Ivy told me all... I wonder if it would be a hit on Youtube...” At the glare from Cat, April shook her head. “Aww Cat- I was just kidding. I wouldn't do that.”
Becca realized that they still had to drop by Viv’s shop to see about the dresses before they could all go their own ways after meeting up with the boys to find out how their end of the planning went. And she didn’t know about any of the others, but she would like to spend a little free time perhaps with a movie with some of the others and Patrick. She sighed as she saw the time on her watch. Almost time for everything to start closing up.
“Hate to cut this conversation short, but can we wrap it up? Did you at least get pictures?”
“Even better, I got it all on tape, minus the sex of course...”
And so with the flowers all picked out and settled, they were free to head over to the next part of their planning and shopping for the day. And Becca had to admit that she was definitely looking forward to the dress portion of the day with Viv more than the flowers. After all, Viv was a friendly face who she had at least gotten to know a little more ever since helping her out in the fashion show.
~*~
As the girls walked into Viv’s boutique, Becca smiled seeing Ivy already there. Although her grin broadened seeing that Ivy was holding a small baby. So this must be Viv’s little girl that she had heard about. She was adorable.
“Ohh would you look at her, she's so adorable.”
“Yes, I'd like you to meet Angelique Rosalia Candori, born en route to Paris and all. Thank God it was an American plane, else my daughter would have wound up a citizen of France. Now wouldn't that be some explanation to make? New York-born woman with French daughter. Nah, she's Italian-American, and I wouldn't have it any other way.”
Becca smiled as Viv lovingly ran her hand over her daughter’s cheek. Becca had heard a little about Viv having a bit of rough spot with her ex-husband, leading to divorce, but didn’t know the full story. And she wasn’t one to press, so she figured that if Viv wanted to share, she would come to her in time.
“Thank God she takes after me, is all I can say...”
Becca laughed at Viv’s joking comment before walking over to take a better look at the little baby. Becca playfully tickled the little girl, earning a small giggle and hiccup. She had always had a weak spot for babies, and little Angelique was looking to be no exception. Although Cat and Viv seemed to be good-naturedly worried about each other, more like friends or sisters than former mentor and student.
“Who decided to go to France when eight months pregnant, might I ask?”
“Well, my idiot doctor told me it would be another month, and I couldn't miss my own line in France, now could I?”
Cat merely sighed, shaking her head while looking at the swatches that Viv had laying about the counter. Becca had heard the story and thought it sounded rather romantic in a literary sense. Just as the plane had taken off towards France, she had felt discomfort, thinking nothing of it. Later, she woke up in excruciating pain, realizing that she had gone into early labor. Though, the stewardess would not tell the captain to make an emergency landing, as it was completely unnecessary. Fortunately, the man sitting next to her had been a doctor. Just an hour or so after giving birth to this little girl, she was transferred to an American military base hospital, where she recovered enough to fly back to the United States.
“Though, on the bright side, I'm not going to be looking like a cow at your wedding.”
Although the baby started to cry and seemed to want her mother at the moment. So Becca picked up the little girl and carried her back over to Viv, cooing at the little girl as she walked the few steps before handing her back to her mother after leaving a light kiss on her head.
“I think she needs a mother's touch, she's a cutie, I'll give you that.”
Viv smiled and took her little girl back with a nod. “Thanks...Ivy are you okay? You look like you have something on your mind.”
Becca turned back to Ivy who had been sitting while waiting for everything to get started up. Becca bit her bottom lip slightly as Ivy jumped startledly. Hopefully Ivy wasn’t upset or anything. After all, with things sort of up in the air with her own family life, Becca could understand why Ivy might be a little off.
“Oh yeah, sorry, nothing much really.”
“When Ivy says nothing much, it's something.”
Becca turned and nodded to April who had whispered in her ear. Ivy saying nothing was almost always her trying to push off the suspicion of others. And Becca didn’t believe Ivy for a moment. Although Cat spoke up, having taken the baby from Viv so she could start on the dress measurements and such.
“Viv, I think she's asleep.”
Viv looked over to Cat and her daughter with a small smile. It seemed that Angelique had indeed fallen asleep in Cat’s arms. She walked over and took her daughter to put her away in her cradle so they could get some work done. “Yeah, definitely asleep. Here, let me take her for now, and put her in her cradle. This is good, then we have a few hours to work here.” She turned back to the others with a smile, ready to get the dresses unveiled and finished, as that was what she loved to do in the job. “Alright, first things first, I have the basic designs of the dresses sewn, we just need to have you all try them on so that I can make note of where the extras to the dresses are to go.”
“Hey, where's your bathroom? I'll make it quick.”
After pointing out the direction of the bathroom to April, Viv started to work on Ivy and Becca’s dresses. They were dusky pink (almost a purple shade) satin strapless gowns, trimmed with this fashionable black sash along the waist in the form of a bow, falling down to just below the knees. They were surely a sight to behold. Just as Viv had finished sticking pins where she needed to make final touches, April came running out, clutching a stick in her hands.
“Yo! help me out here... Is that a plus? I am trying to look at this thing, and it looks a lot like a smiley face...”
Becca raised an eyebrow at April’s outburst. Was that what she thought it was? Although as she got closer, she realized it was just that. Viv took the test and held it up to the light to examine the results. “April, how have you felt lately?”
April shrugged. “Flu-ish is a good description, I was just curious to see...Why?”
Cat and Becca both stood up on their tiptoes to try and get a better glimpse of the test at that. Although Cat’s outburst confirmed it all. “Bloody Hell April, you're pregnant...”
Although at that Ivy suddenly stepped down from the stool she had been standing on for Viv to mark the hem of the dress. “Viv, you said you were done with me right? Something suddenly came up... I'll call you in the evening or something.” As quickly as she could without harming the dress, Ivy stripped and redressed, rushing out of the shop.
April looked as if she was hurt. “...Did I do something?”
Becca and Cat stared off in the direction of Ivy who had sped out of the lot as if the very devil were chasing her. “..What the...”
Although Becca was interrupted by Viv’s reassurances. “I was done with her anyways, it looks like she really does have a lot on her mind, give her some time to get her head together.”
“April, you okay?”
April seemed to shake out of the stunned stupor and gave Cat a beaming grin, before she squealed and grabbed Becca, Cat, and Viv in tight hugs. “Viv, hurry up with me, I've got a husband to corner...”
Viv laughed before motioning April up onto the stool to finish up with a wink. “Lucky for us, the wedding is only in three weeks, so I don't have to readjust the dress sizewise. And yeah, love your husband now, cause I can gurantee that you'll be hating him from time to time.”
April raised an eyebrow with a small shake of her head. “Oh, Gabe knows... If he pokes with the stick, he's got to deal with the chick... no matter what.”
Becca giggled at April’s comments. That was certainly an April expression, if she had ever heard one. She stepped down from the stool she had been on and gently took off her own dress before hanging it up next to Ivy’s dress before she pulled back on her jeans and t-shirt.
“Alright April... Done, go on home and tell him, ya hear?” Viv gave April a grin as she pushed her off to go tell Gabe the great news as she finished up with her dress.
April smirked as she stepped down from the stool. “Oh, I'll tell him alright.” Becca knew that smirk well enough, and knew that Gabe was certainly in for an interesting night tonight at the very least. Perhaps she ought to call and forewarn him, or at least call tomorrow to check up on him. Because that smirk meant trouble. As April rushed off with an airy wave, Becca made a mental note to call Gabe tomorrow and check up on him.
And thus suddenly it was down to just Cat, Viv, and Becca out of the wedding party. Viv smiled and walked off towards a closet to pull out a dress. “I finished mine first, you know, to get a feel for the design. This is how it's going to look like.”
Becca smiled at the dress. It was beautiful. At least Cat seemed to like it, if the squeal and exclamation were any indications. “Viv! You're an genius!!”
Becca playfully held a hand to her ear as if deafened. Although at Viv’s playful bow, she just rolled her eyes with a grin. It felt good to joke around with these two.
“I know, I know... But let's just say I've had some time between Angie's sleep schedules to work on it. I can gurantee they'll be ready by wedding day, have no fear. Now, the moment we've all been waiting for... I'm done with the bridal dress, we just need to see how it fits.”
“Alright, let's see it.”
After putting up the bridesmaids dresses, Viv and Becca both went back to bring out the bridal dress. As soon as Becca saw it, she gasped. It was amazing. Viv had certainly outdone herself with this one. “Wow Cat, the dress is absolutely gorgeous!”
Cat squealed and looked almost ready to jump up and down like a child. “Let me see!!!!”
“Don't wet yourself, alright strip down and see how this fits...My god that sounded so wrong...” Viv said with a laugh, before grimacing at how her comment sounded, glancing over at her daughter to see if the baby had heard what she had said.
Viv and Becca helped Cat into the dress, and when they had finally gotten the dress situated, they stepped back to let Cat see the reflection in the mirror. As soon as Cat saw the image reflected back at her, tears sprang up in her eyes, a hand covering her mouth. “Becca, I'm wearing my wedding dress...Three weeks until I'm Catrianna Ross.”
Becca smiled and her hand absently went to her own engagement ring. What would it be like to be in Cat’s position? Having the fittings for her own wedding dress. God, just the thought of that brought a fit of butterflies to her stomach. Was she even ready to be getting married? But then she smiled at the thought of Patrick, and knew that she was going to be fine.
Viv laughed glancing over the dress, shaking what seemed to be both Cat and Becca out of their own thoughts. “Well Cat, I think this dress is absolutely perfect. Looks like all we need to do is finish up the bridesmaid dresses. We're really in good shape here.”
Becca grinned and walked over to Cat and put a hand on her shoulder, smiling. “Catrianna Ross has a nice ring to it...” She quickly gave Cat a hug, careful not to mess up the dress before helping her to take it off and hang it back up.
“Well, good news, we can probably beat the boys home. Viv, doing anything tonight? Perhaps you can join us.”
Viv tilted her head, giving the invitation some thought. “Are you sure you want to deal with a three week old baby?”
“Actually Viv, the question is, do you want your child around the boys?”
Becca laughed at Cat’s comment. That was a better question. After all, little Angie was adorable, so she doubted there would be any objections. But asking about the dangers of having her around the boys was certainly a good one. Sometimes she wondered about the boys.
“Can't be worse than the family reunion I attended last week. Hold on, let me close up shop.”
Becca smiled as Viv finished up getting everything put away before going back to get Angelique. As soon as everything with Cat’s wedding was finished, Becca knew that she would ask Viv to do her own wedding dresses and such, and had even thought about asking the other girl to be in the wedding as well. As they walked out of the shop, Becca smirked seeing a minivan in the owner’s parking spot. The last time she had talked to Viv, the designer had been driving a sporty little car.
“Viviana, you traded in your Porsche for a Van?”
Viv rolled her eyes at Cat’s question, giving her friend a smile. “Some things are worth the sacrifice.”
Becca nodded before heading off with Cat to her car to head back to meet up for movies with the boys. She was already looking forward to the night ahead. And it wasn’t just because she would be spending the night with Patrick. She loved being with all her friends, and tonight was looking to be a perfect night.
