+++++++++++
Kelly paced back and forth across her bedroom nervously after having changed into a pair of pajamas.
"Are you ok?" Jessica asked worriedly as she sat on her bed. She had decided to stay at the apartment with her since neither of her parents were home. She didn't feel right leaving her by herself.
Kelly nodded before shaking her head.
"So what exactly happened?" Jessica asked. "Her parents walked in on y'all?"
"Her mom walked in on us, yea. We were, um, we were in her bedroom, and the tv was on, and we didn't hear them come in."
"And y'all were...y'all were having sex?" she questioned gently.
Kelly shook her head.
Jessica breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that would've made things so much worse.
"Not yet."
"Not yet?"
"We were getting there, I think."
"You think?" Jessica studied her carefully. "Y'all haven't slept together yet, huh?"
She shook her head again.
"So that would've been y'alls first time? Your first time too, right?"
"Yea...it just...I mean..." she joined Jessica, sitting next to her on her bed. "It just felt different, you know? Like, normally one of us will stop, and we both know that, and I think that is somewhere in the back of our minds, but this time..."
"Neither of you were going to stop?"
"I know I wasn't."
Jessica laughed softly.
"And I really don't think she was either."
"And do you think you're ready for that?"
"Yea, I think so," she nodded.
"Sex is a really big deal. I know you know that, and you don't need me to say it, but it is. It's a big deal and a huge commitment."
"I love her."
"I know," she smiled, wrapping an arm around her.
"I feel so bad for leaving her there," Kelly admitted. "I just...I froze. I was like in shock or something. I didn't snap out of it until it was too late."
"There's nothing you could've done."
"I could've made her leave with me."
"And what good would that do? Kell, her parents know, there's nothing you can do to take that back, I'm sorry, but there isn't, so this talk--"
"I doubt they're talking..."
"This fight," Jessica corrected. "It was bound to happen sooner or later. Sooner is better so that she can deal with it and move on."
"Jebbie, it's her mom...she can't just move on."
"If this is something she wants...if having you is what she wants, then she's going to have to."
"Her mom slapped her..."Kelly sniffed.
"In front of you?"
"No, I heard it."
"Maybe you didn't hear what you thought you heard?"
Kelly shook her head, "She pushed Carrie against the door and then she slapped her."
"I'm sorry," Jessica reached up, brushing the tears off her cheeks. "That sucks."
"I don't think my mom's ever slapped me...I mean, she did the whole spanking thing when I was being a brat when I was little, but she never actually hit me."
"Yea, it's definitely not a cool thing for a parent to do, especially to someone Carrie's age. I mean, if Carrie wanted, she could press charges against her mom for like assault or something."
"She'd never do that."
"I know. She's a sweet kid. Y'all are good for each other."
"I just really hope she's ok," Kelly bit her bottom lip.
"I'm sure she's fine."
"What's gonna happen now? I mean, what am I supposed to do?"
"Don't let Carrie's mom affect you. If y'all want to be together, then y'all should be together. Screw what her mom thinks."
"What if she takes her away?"
"Away? What do you mean?" Jessica looked at her curiously.
"What if she makes them move again?"
"I doubt she'd make her family move just because she caught her daughter kissing another girl."
"You don't know Carole," Kelly sighed.
"Ok, well, so what if she moves? Carrie's an adult. She can stay here by herself. She can get a job...get a small apartment. You can't let other people, especially Carrie's bitch ass mother, decide your life for you, Kell...you've got to take it into your own hands. If you want something, then you need to fight like hell to make sure you get it because it's not going to just be handed to you, I can promise you that."
Kelly nodded, looking up at the sound of something tapping against her window.
"Let me guess," Jessica smiled as Kelly walked to the window to open it. "You taught her that."
"Yea," Kelly gave a soft laugh, reaching out and taking Carrie's hand, helping her through, catching her in her arms. "Hey."
"Hey," Carrie replied as her feet touched the floor. She wrapped her arms around the shorter girl as Kelly hugged her tightly.
"Well, I should be getting to work," Jessica stood. "So I'm gonna head out."
"Thank you," Carrie looked at her as Kelly buried her face in her neck.
"You're ok?"
"Yea."
"Good," Jessica gave a soft smile. "I hope everything turns out ok."
Carrie nodded, watching as Jessica walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. She wrapped her arms tighter around Kelly, pressing her lips against her temple firmly.
Kelly pulled back, taking Carrie's face in her hands carefully, "Are you ok?"
"I'm ok," Carrie nodded.
"Did she hurt you?"
"Baby, I'm ok," she assured, her hands soothing up and down Kelly's arm.
Kelly tried to hide her flinch.
Carrie looked at her questioningly before raising the sleeve of her t-shirt, "Oh God..."
"It's nothing," Kelly insisted.
"Kelly, that is not nothing," Carrie grazed her fingers over the bruise that was already forming from where Carole's hand had been. "Baby..."
"It's ok."
"I'm so sorry," she shook her head. "I just...I shouldn't have let her treated you like that. I'm so sorry."
"No," Kelly insisted, holding her face so that she was looking at her instead of the mark on her arm. "It is not your fault. And seriously, don't even worry about it. It's nothing."
"Kell..."
"Care..."
Carrie felt her eyes tearing up.
"Shh..." Kelly pulled her back into another hug. "It's gonna be ok. I love you, and there's nothing that your mother can do that will change that, I promise. I'm just so sorry that I didn't fight for you like I should have. I'm sorry I froze."
"That would've just made it worse for you," Carrie replied, sniffing as she pulled back.
"So? Somebody has got to fight for you, and I promise I can be that person for you, Care. I'm not gonna let anybody hurt you or treat you like that again, I swear."
Carrie smiled, touching her cheek, "I love you."
"I love you too," Kelly kissed her fingers as they moved across her lips. "What happened after I left?"
"A lot more yelling."
"Did she hit you again?"
"No," she shook her head. "There was just a lot of yelling...between me and my mom, at least. My dad seemed in even more shocked than you were. Which I found funny, all things considered...but yea, yelling. Yelling about how I was to never see you again, and how I couldn't even say your name in our house anymore, and how my mom was going to send me to live with my grandparents. Yelling about how my mom is such a bitch, and how I don't care what she says, I'm going to see you all I want, and how if she can't handle that then maybe she's the one that should go live with my grandparents."
Kelly smiled, "You really said all that?"
"She hurt you," Carrie pointed out. "Nobody's allowed to do that."
Kelly kissed her softly, "Thank you."
"I was just standing up for you."
"You were standing up for us," Kelly corrected. "And you have no idea how amazing that makes me feel."
Carrie reached up, wiping the tears from the Texan's cheeks, "I'm so sorry she hurt you."
"It's ok. I'm ok."
Carrie nodded, leaning up to kiss her forehead before guiding them over to the bed sitting down, "I think we should talk."
Kelly started to stand back up nervously.
"No, no, no," Carrie quickly assured, tugging her back down. "It's nothing like that. This has nothing to do with my mom or anything like that. This has to do with what happened before my mom walked in."
"Oh..."
"Yea...I know you're more of a throw caution to the wind type of person, but I'm not, I'm sorry..."
"No, it's ok. We can talk about it," Kelly nodded. "Whatever you need."
Carrie took a deep breath, "Something was about to happen, wasn't it?"
"Well, you have more experience at this than me," Kelly reminded.
Carrie gave her a pleading look.
Kelly brought a hand up to her cheek, cradling it, "It felt like something was about to happen, yes."
"I felt that too, and I...I'm ok with that," she admitted. "Well, I'm more than ok with it," she gave a nervous laugh. "But I know that it's way too soon for you, and I just want you to know that that's also ok with me, and that--"
"Care," Kelly cut her off. "I'm ok with it too."
"But what about what happened at the bar?"
"I'm ok," she replied.
"I just don't want to rush you."
"You're not. I'm ready."
"Yea?"
"Care, I want to be with you," Kelly shook her head, her eyes moving over the other girl's face. "God, I wanna be with you so badly."
Carrie leaned forward, pressing their lips together firmly.
Kelly smiled, stroking her cheek with her thumb.
"I love you," Carrie whispered as she pulled back, grinning.
"I love you too," her smile grew.
"Can you do me a favor?"
"Of course."
"Will you lay with me?"
Kelly's smile softened as she brushed their lips together, "I'd love to."
Carrie laid down, holding an arm open to the shorter girl.
Kelly laid beside her, draping an arm over her stomach as Carrie's arms wrapped around her securely.
"Today has been such a long day," Carrie drew in a slow breath, relaxing as Kelly snuggled into her side.
"And it's not even one o'clock, yet," Kelly gave a light laugh.
Carrie smiled, turning to kiss her forehead.
"So when did you change?" Kelly asked, taking in the fresh smell of the t-shirt that Carrie was wearing along with jeans. She figured it must've been in the laundry basket of clean clothes that she had noticed on the floor of Carrie's room when she was getting ready that morning.
"When my mom banished me to my room which was when I realized I had to come check on you and see you and just be near you. I kinda figured that scaling the sides of houses and apartments isn't exactly safe in a dress."
"So you snuck out of your house?"
"You're such a bad influence on me," she teased, poking her side.
Kelly giggled, wrapping her arm tighter around her, "That's ok. I like being a bad influence on you."
Carrie pressed her lips against her forehead firmly, "Thank you so much."
"For what?"
"For not freaking out about what happened."
"Thank me? Thank you. I mean, I'm definitely not her biggest fan or anything, but she's your mom, you know?"
"You're the number one person in my life," Carrie replied simply.
"You're my number one, too," Kelly smiled, reaching up to kiss her.
"Well, number one," Carrie ran a hand through her hair. "What would you say to you taking a nap with me? I seriously don't remember the last time I was this tired."
"I'd say, I think that's a brilliant idea," she nodded, kissing her softly before laying back down.
Carrie closed her eyes, sighing in content as Kelly buried her face in her neck, getting comfortable. She smiled softly at the feeling of Kelly's fist balling up against her side, holding on tightly to her shirt as she yawned sleepily.
"Love you, Care," she mumbled, nuzzling her neck.
"Love you too, baby," Carrie tilted her head, so that her cheek was resting against Kelly's hair.
+++++++++
Kelly smiled, offering Carrie her glass of water as they stood in the kitchen.
Carrie took a sip before handing it back to her, "Did you sleep well?"
"Yea," she nodded. "What time is it?"
"A little after three."
"You're ok?"
"Yea," she smiled, placing her hands on the shorter girl's hips.
"Where's your head at?"
"How cute you look in pajamas."
Kelly smiled, kissing her softly. She pulled back with a thoughtful look.
"What?"
"I have something I want to show you," she put her glass in the sink before taking Carrie's hand and leading her back to her bedroom. She let go of her hand, walking to her closet.
Carrie watched as Kelly stretched, reaching up to try and grab the box on the top shelf. "What are you trying to get?"
"The box."
"What's in the box?" Carrie smiled, her eyes glued to the small of Kelly's back that was revealed as her shirt raised when she stretched.
"My songs. There's one I want you to hear," she groaned softly, reaching up on her tiptoes.
Carrie walked to her, placing a hand on her lower back. She reached up, taking Kelly's outstretched hand in her own, pulling it down.
Kelly felt back on her feet, looking at her slightly confused.
Carrie swallowed hard, taking a step towards her.
Kelly's hands reached up, sliding over her arms.
Carrie tilted her head down, leaning in slowly.
Kelly's lips parted as she kissed her softly.
Carrie took a deep breath as she pulled back a little.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Kelly questioned softly.
"Yea," Carrie's eyes were glued to her lips.
"Where's your head at?"
"You," she replied honestly. "It's all you."
Kelly's heart sped up as Carrie kissed her again, slightly more firmly than before. She stepped closer to her.
"I love you," Carrie whispered against her lips.
"I love you too," Kelly replied, kissing her.
Carrie wrapped her arms around her, walking her back towards the bed. She stumbled and felt Kelly's hands tighten on her arms, holding her up as she giggled. "Shut up," she smiled, pressing their lips together.
"Sorry," Kelly laughed softly, sitting as the back of her legs bumped into the bed.
Carrie bit her bottom lip as she looked down at her, "You're ok?"
"Yea," she nodded, her eyes glued to Carrie's hands as she fingered the hem of her shirt. She watched the taller girl's arms raise, taking her shirt with them, pulling it off and tossing it to the side. Kelly raised a tentative hand, her fingers brushing against Carrie's stomach, feeling her take in a shaky breath. She raised her other hand, her thumbs tracing across her hips as she pulled her closer, placing a light kiss on her stomach before looking up at her.
Carrie gave a reassuring smile as she cradled her cheek. She placed a knee on the bed, laying Kelly back as she climbed ontop of her. She wrapped an arm around her, holding her close as she flipped them over, scooting them further up the bed.
Kelly leaned down, kissing her again, her hands smoothing down Carrie's sides before sliding to her back and working their way up.
Carrie arched her back at the feeling of Kelly's hands playing with the back of her bra. "It's ok," she assured at the Texan's hesitance.
Kelly nodded, her teeth grazing Carrie's bottom lip. She shook her head, pulling back.
"What's wrong?"
"I can't get it," Kelly admitted, blushing slightly.
Carrie bit the inside of her cheek to keep from giggling as she reached back, unhooking her bra for her, "There you go."
"I'm so stupid."
"You're doing great," Carrie reached up, kissing her.
Kelly allowed her to pull her back down. She tilted her head, her mouth opening at the feeling of Carrie's tongue pressing lightly against her lip.
Carrie's heart raced as she felt Kelly's fingers slowly pushing her bra straps down off her shoulders. She slid her hands out, tossing that aside as well, moaning softly at the feeling of Kelly's body pressing against her own.
Kelly pulled back slowly, reaching back down to place a soft kiss on her lips before pushing herself up enough to be able to look her in the eyes.
"It's ok," Carrie nodded.
Kelly bit her lip, her blood pumping quickly through her veins as her eyes slowly trailed down Carrie's face to her neck to her chest. Her fingers rested lightly on her abdomen.
Carrie reached up on her elbows, kissing her forehead reassuringly.
Kelly ran a shaky hand down Carrie's bare stomach, studying every reaction, down to the smallest detail that her touch had on the girl beneath her as she traced along the waist band of her jeans. She brought it back up drawing it around the edges of her chest.
"Y-Y-You're beautiful," she stuttered, looking back up at Carrie's eyes, watching as a blush set the other blonde's cheeks crimson. "I really mean that," Kelly promised as she removed her hand, placing it back on the side of Carrie to support herself as she leaned down, kissing her gently.
"I love you," Carrie whispered as she pulled back.
"I love you too," Kelly smiled, kissing her again. She felt Carrie's arm wrap around her waist before she clumsily flipped them back over. The Texan couldn't help but giggle again, but the sound of it was muffled as Carrie pressed their lips together, her hands finding the hem of Kelly's shirt.
Carrie paused until she felt Kelly give the smallest nod before she lifted the shirt off of her. Kelly's arm immediately went up, covering her chest as Carrie pulled back from the kiss. Carrie looked down to find Kelly look away with a mixture of nerves and something else in her eyes.
"Kelly," Carrie said gently, placing her hand on the other girl's wrist, intending to move her arm away from her body, but Kelly held firm. She felt her heart melt as she recognized the other emotion in her deep hazel eyes: shame. "Kelly," Carrie repeated, letting go of her wrist and bringing her hand up to her chin, turning her face so she was looking at her. "Trust me?"
Kelly bit her lip, swallowing hard. She nodded.
Carrie gave her a reassuring smile, taking her wrist in her hand once more, this time being allowed by Kelly to pull her arm away. Her hands mapped over her smooth stomach, memorizing every single detail, much as Kelly's had done to her. She watched as the muscles jumped under her touch. She brought her hands up, and Kelly let out a shaky breath, her eyes closing at the feeling of it. Carrie leaned down, kissing her cheek before whispering in her ear, "You're perfect."
Kelly's head turned as Carrie slowly kissed down the side of her neck, her lips leaving a burning trail across her skin. Kelly's back arched as Carrie kissed down the middle of her chest and stomach, placing a soft kiss just below her belly button before kissing her way back up to her lips, kissing her fully. Kelly moaned, her nails dragging down Carrie's back as their tongues pressed together, Carrie's hand massaging her chest.
"Care..." Kelly pulled back, breathless.
Carrie's body trembled as Kelly's eyes gazed up at her, darker than she had ever seen them.
"Care, I..." Kelly could hear her heart pounding in her ears. "I w-want you."
Carrie leaned back down, pressing their lips together, her body pushing into the Texan's.
"Make love to me," Kelly breathed against her lips. "Please."
Carrie's hand quickly moved down to her pajama pants, untying the string. She pulled back, biting her bottom lip hard as Kelly raised her hips to help her slip them off, along with her underwear. She stared at her openly after Kelly had kicked them off.
"Care?" Kelly questioned nervously.
"I love you," Carrie blurted out, looking back up at her face.
Kelly smiled as she pulled her back down, kissing her deeply. Her stomach muscles jumped as Carrie's hand smoothed across her skin, inching it's way lower and lower.
"You sure?"
"Positive," her eyes closed as Carrie's hand moved even lower.
Carrie's hand slid down between Kelly's legs, her touch causing a pleasant shiver to run down the Texan's spine. She had to be honest, she had no clue what she was doing. She knew what felt good when she was by herself--her cheeks turned crimson at that thought, and she was relieved to see Kelly's eyes were lightly closed--so, she was just trying to make the shorter girl feel the same way.
Kelly's breathing slowed to deep, drawn out breaths, a serene looking smile, playing on her lips, and if it weren't for the fact that she was pushing slightly into her touch, Carrie would've thought she had fallen asleep. Kelly brought a hand up, running over the softness of Carrie's back as the country girl leaned over her, kissing her softly, reassuringly. Kelly could feel a pleasurable warmth, spreading throughout her lower stomach.
Carrie noted her breathing increasing as she kissed the side of her neck gently, slowly making her way down to the middle of her chest, leaving delicate kisses down her stomach. She swore she could feel Kelly's body temperature rise with each kiss as she made her way back up.
Kelly bit her bottom lip as she got completely lost in the feelings that were enveloping her. She couldn't even begin to describe all the things that were running through her all at once. She tilted her head back, showing Carrie more skin as she made it back to her neck. It was pure instinct that caused her hips to rise up, meeting Carrie's touch.
Carrie's heart raced as she kissed her fully on the lips. She pulled back, kissing her forehead, then her cheek before resting her own against it, her blood rushing at the feeling of Kelly's warm, heavy breaths on her neck and shoulder. She slid her hand down a little further, bringing her lips to Kelly's ear.
"I love you," she kissed the edge of her ear, sliding into her.
Kelly's entire body tensed up, her hand balling into a fist on Carrie's back as she was unable to hold back the whimper that escaped her lips.
"You ok?" Carrie whispered, worriedly.
Kelly took a shaky breath, giving her body time to get used to the feeling of it.
Carrie felt her relaxing beneath her, her head nodding against her shoulder. She turned, kissing her temple firmly as she began to move her hand as slowly as she could, not willing to hurt her. She felt Kelly's nails dig into her back, and she bit down to keep from making a sound about it.
"I love you," she repeated, kissing just below Kelly's ear, slowly making her way along her jaw, feeling her relax even more with each kiss. She carefully quickened her motions, just a little, noticing Kelly's breath growing heavy once again. Carrie kissed along her bare shoulder, down to her chest and around. There was something different about the way Kelly's nails were digging into her back now as she kissed a circle around her belly button, making her squirm almost playfully. She smiled as she picked up her pace a little more, Kelly's body now moving in somewhat of a rhythm with her.
Kelly's head fell back against the pillow, her breaths coming out short and shaky. This was it. That need she had always felt to get closer to the other girl, knowing that somehow, they were really supposed to have been just one, this was how that need was satisfied. She felt Carrie's breath on her face, and she smiled, keeping her eyes closed as their lips met, more heated than before. She couldn't help the moans that were escaping as their tongues collided, and she moved with the girl above her.
Kelly broke the kiss, fighting for air as she rested her forehead against Carrie's nose, soft noises emanating from her lips, the heat dramatically increasing in the room as she felt what could best be described as the chills creeping down her spine, and the warmth spreading throughout her abdomen colliding. Her body arched up into Carrie's as her hand that was still on her back, pulled her down. Carrie tilted her head up, kissing her forehead.
Kelly wasn't sure why, but her feet had gone numb and her heart was pounding in her ears as her body twitched and quivered slightly under Carrie's touch.
"C-Care..." Kelly managed.
"It's ok," Carrie assured her, pulling back enough to kiss her forehead firmly. She felt the Texan's body tense up beneath her, her hand sliding from Carrie's back to her upper arm where she held on tightly. The soft cries coming from her mouth--her hot breath on Carrie's neck once more--almost sounded as if she were stuttering, except no words were being formed.
"It's ok," Carrie repeated against her skin.
Kelly's eyes closed, her body pushing down onto Carrie's touch hard. Her mouth was on her neck, muffling the cry as she bit down. Carrie winced, but smiled as she pulled back, watching Kelly collapse onto the bed, still shaking slightly. She pulled her hand away, using it to support herself as she brought her other hand up, placing it above Kelly's chest, feeling her heart race.
Kelly's eyes opened and gazed up at Carrie, completely unfocused.
Carrie's smile grew as she pushed her damp bangs out of the Texan's eyes, "Are you ok?"
Kelly nodded, unable to speak, her breathing still short. Although, she doubted that even if she could, she could find the words to say exactly how she felt.
"I love you," Carrie whispered, leaning down herself to kiss her gently. "So much."
"You too," Kelly smiled, her voice way more raspier than normal as Carrie traced a finger along her jaw line.
"You are so amazing," Carrie confided in awe as she watched the girl beneath her.
Kelly couldn't help but laugh, her body seemed to finally be returning to normal, except for the slight euphoric state she was left in, "I didn't even do anything."
Carrie just smiled, shaking her head.
"Come see," Kelly said softly, pulling her down.
Carrie lowered herself onto her forearms so she was mere inches above her, "Yea?"
"H-hold me?" she asked shakily.
"Oh, baby..." Carrie said gently, wrapping her arms around her at the mixture of fear and nerves in the Texan's eyes. "Of course."
She carefully turned them over, pulling the blankets up around them and held her closely, "It's alright to be scared, but I promise you, this won't change a thing between us, ok? I still love you, no matter what."
"You don't think any less of me?" Kelly whispered.
"What? No, of course not," Carrie assured her, rubbing her back soothingly as she curled up on top of her, resting her head on her chest. "I promise you, if anything it only makes me love you and respect you more. I really mean that."
"I love you too," Kelly smiled against her skin.
Carrie let out a relieved sigh, feeling Kelly unwind some in her arms. She kissed the top of her head, "Why don't you get some sleep?"
Kelly just nodded, her eyes already closing exhaustedly.
