“You can see then, violence is the last resort and murder, is evil in the highest form. None of you wished to kill, even though you might say you would have killed them given a chance. So I say to you, make that only a one off. From now on treat people with kindness and love, even if you do not feel it, because ultimately you will be rewarded. Take care of all that lives around you; protect those things too easily destroyed by senselessness. Most important of all, take care of each other. Perhaps one day we will see you as ambassadors for your planet, for who knows? Time is a fickle thing.” Hapchuek stood up and nodded, her eyes twinkling as she turned and walked back up the steps.
“Take care now. And Mike, protect them. Protect them all, your loved ones, human and nor alike. Especially those who have trouble in believing” She said before disappearing back into the depths of the ship.
The aging male and Haruku followed close behind.
“I won’t forget you mother. Only a week in your care taught me much.” Haruku smiled and disappeared inside.
“I’ll see you around Haruku - I know I will.” Mike smiled and waved.
Rosie touched her neck to Mike’s one last time, and then followed Haruku into the ship.
Then, the tentacles burst forth once more, gently weaving themselves around Mike and the others, caressing them and placing them much further back from the ship.
The tentacles let go and then vanished back into the mesh of the great, living machine, then suddenly the ship moved its struts, walking like a quadruped animal, and then it lifted off the ground, rising slowly - abruptly it shot right up, up, up and away in to the night, in a streak of rainbow colored lights that glowed like vapor or mist.
Mike sank to his knees and Leila came up to his side, sitting down next to him and placing an arm around his shoulders.
There was silence for a while.
“It’s all gone... Blue... The heaviness... My sight... It... It’s all gone...” Mike whispered at last.
“I don’t know what to say...” Leila murmured.
“It’s okay. I have telepathy now. I still can see... Sort of.” The emcee replied softly, a slightly smile playing on his lips.
“Are you blind?” Leila asked curiously.
“The psycho dude stabbed my eyes. You’d never know that of course, Rosie kept my sight in me somehow. But now it’s gone coz she’s gone. I don’t mind though, I still have telepathy so I can still see.” Mike replied.
“You really have been through a bit haven’t you?” Leila said quietly, squeezing her grip over his shoulders slightly.
Mike shrugged.
“Do you think Roswell is real then?” Chester wondered aloud.
“It probably is. It probably is.” Brad murmured, staring out to the sky above.
They stood there for hours, some of them like Chester, waiting to see if something alien would appear again, while others like Samantha inspected where the Great Ship had landed and others, like Mike, simply sat there thinking, their minds far away with the distant stars.
The morning began to dawn and Rob decided it was time to leave.
“C’mon. Let’s go home.” Rob said after a while, standing up and leading the people back up into the plane.
“Mike.” Chester said.
The emcee turned and looked down the stairs at the singer who was behind him.
“Your walk has changed. It’s different now.” Chester observed with a hint of a smile on the corners of his mouth.
“How so?” Mike asked after a moment.
“Your shoulders. They don’t stoop anymore.” Chester grinned this time. “We’re gonna all start feeling a lot shorter from now on.”
“Maybe then. Maybe.” Mike smiled back and once again began climbing up the stairs.

I don’t know what the pilot of the plane must have been thinking - I don’t know if he really thought anything actually.
Telekinesis can work in strange ways.
I smile slightly as I watch the ground move outside.
The sand and rocks stir, catching in a small whirling twister - destroying the evidence of where the Great Ship landed and then a kilometer out - the message as well.
Telekinesis as I said, it works in strange ways.
Perhaps the pilot will check himself into the nearest hospital when we land to find out if he has some kind of disastrous health problem?
I don’t think a six hour episode of paralysis is going to be ignored.
Smirking again, I turn and look back at the rest of the crew.
Samantha has fallen asleep on Phoenix’s shoulder with Draven curled up in her arms, Lindsay is curled up next to Phoenix as well - he’s sandwiched.
Brad is sitting alone in the corner, brooding, Rob is slowing falling asleep - he keeps jolting back awake and looking around as though he expects more aliens to pop up each time his eyes close.
Joe’s doing okay - he’s snoring.
As for Nicola, she’s looking out the window, Chester is sitting in front of me, sleeping possibly, and Leila, she’s sitting with her eyes closed, though I know she’s awake.
It’s so quiet.
I smile and rest my head back, closing my eyes.
