A/N: Okay, so the filler chapter took on a life of its own and sorta spun into a new character and plot idea (Cat, I wub plot bunny-ing with you!). So here's a new chapter, and I promise the other random chapters from before are coming up, with their drama-filled goodness. But for now be appeased with a new chapter of my own! Enjoy!
[PS. Both Cat and I are already working on the sequels to our stories, despite the fact that the current ones aren't quite wrapped up yet. But yes, this will become an amazingly wondiferous - we hope - series!]

Rebecca walked down the streets of the city, letting her mind wander. She had tried calling Spencer, but only managed to get his voicemail. She hadn’t left a message, just because she never left messages unless it was an emergency. He was probably just out with Brendon, anyways. After all, they had as much right to free time as she did with Patrick. She hadn’t called Patrick just because she hadn’t wanted to rush to him still upset. She hadn’t called Cat because Cat was still, in Becca’s mind at least, off limits for complaining. So Becca had just decided to go into the city and wander around aimlessly for a while.
Becca found her way to the park and sat down on a bench, just watching the clouds for a bit. After all, she still had at least another hour on her parking, and she could spend time wandering around. She didn’t have anywhere in particular she needed to be, and nobody should bother her.
But just as that thought came into her head, Becca’s cell phone started to ring. She shook her head laughing as she pulled it out of her pocket rolling her eyes. But of course she would get a call when she thought herself free for a bit.
“Hello?”
“I need your help, Beccadill, please! You’re the only one I trust on this problem, and I was hoping you would be willing to help me. I’m almost begging. And you know that jedi masters don’t beg.”
Becca laughed at Joe’s pleading on the other side of the phone. It must be something really important for him to be calling her as close to begging as he was. Although at that moment there was a beep on her phone signaling another incoming call.
“Joe-Joe, can I call you right back? Cat’s beeping in.”
“Yeah, sure. I think I might try pestering your brother for a little while anyways.”
Becca laughed, shaking her head. “Alright Joe-Joe. I’ll call you back then.” She switched over the phone, pressing the button to answer Cat’s call. “Hello, darling.”
Cat laughed a bit before sighing for a second. “Becca, I need your help. Remember the cousin I told you about that the Lillian chick reminded me of? ... Well, she’s flying in to stay with Ryan and me for a while. Help, please?”
Becca sat for a moment in a bit of shock. Cat’s devil cousin coming to stay with them? So close after their wedding? What kind of psycho family was that? “You mean the cousin your mom was always pestering you about being more like? That cousin?”
“Yeah, that’s the cousin, Sophia Eleanor Sinclair. ... Please say you’ll help?”
“Of course. Although I’m not sure what we’re going to do about her. When does she get here?”
Becca could hear the annoyance in Cat just from the pause. “Her flight lands within the hour. Mum just told me about it yesterday. Ryan had to ... well, let’s just say it was all he could do to keep me from being upset.”
Becca laughed at Cat’s response. She had no doubts about what had happened to keep Cat from having called her last night to ask for her help. In fact, that could very well be why it took so long for Cat to call today as well.
“Okay, so how about I meet you at the airport in say half an hour and we can start sorting out our plan for this one then? Sound good?”
“Great. Thank you, Becca. But I should go, I was supposed to be getting something thrown together for lunch.”
Becca laughed, shaking her head. “Later, darling.”
“Ciao.” Cat’s laughter erupted as she hung up the cell phone, leaving Becca with a smile on her face.
Well, that was certainly going to be an interesting turn of events. Cat and Ryan just being married and now they have to entertain Cat’s demon cousin. Sometimes Cat’s mom could be a real witch. Becca hit herself on the forehead lightly before pulling out her cell phone again, this time dialing Joe’s number back.
“Hey Joe-Joe. So, what were you wanting help with?”
“Nothing now. I managed to escape that horrible incident. But you can tell your brother that he really shouldn’t try the matchmaking business ever again. Because he really sucks.”
Becca laughed. Poor Joe. It seems he was tortured with the insanity of her brother’s twisted idea of matchmaking again. “Poor you. How bad was it this time?”
“A chick he met at the record store this time. I don’t think he even knew her name. All she did was talk about your brother. Either that or she stared at me like I was some sort of superhuman god or such.”
Becca shook her head, as she stood and started off back in the direction of the parking garage where her car was at. She had heard of the several horrible attempts at her brother finding a girlfriend for Joe over the years. “Joe-Joe, how many times have I told you to watch out about Petey’s so-called matches? Are you that desperate?”
“Hey! Jedi masters do not get desperate for relationships, Becca. But I didn’t really agree to this one. Your brother is a vicious gambler. I lost a bet, so I had to go on that date.”
“Betting with Petey again? What this time? Or should I even ask?”
“Don’t ask.”
“Good. But how about the next time you have the desire to go crazy on a random blind date, I’ll try to find someone for you, okay? And don’t complain about my track record, either. I’m doing pretty good. Gabe and April are married and expecting twins, after all.”
“I wasn’t putting your track record down, Becca. Just saying that matchmaking seems to be something you got all the talent for rather than your brother. And goodness knows there are plenty of other things that way too.”
Becca laughed and nodded. She didn’t deny that point. After all, what point was there in that? “Yeah, I know all about that, Joe-Joe. How about we meet up for something later tonight and I’ll see about trying to come up with a girl for you? I have to go help Cat greet her demon cousin at the airport right now.”
“Sounds good to me. You know, Cat’s pretty hot herself. If that cousin is anything like her ...”
Joe’s laughter on the other end of the phone caused Becca to laugh almost as much as his teasing comments. Sometimes she doubted Joe’s sanity, particularly when she remembered that he was one of her brother’s best friends. Crazy world.
“Believe me on this, Joe-Joe, from what I hear about Sophia, I don’t think you would like her too much. But if I can think of anyone you would like, I’ll let you know. I’m going to get off here so I can go meet up with Cat at the airport okay?”
“Sure thing, Beccadill.”
Becca laughed as she hung up the phone and walked the rest of the way to the parking garage, giggling every few feet. Sometimes she wondered about her friends’ sanities. But then again, sometimes she wondered about her own as well.

After having gotten stuck in traffic on the way to the airport, and now being later than she had originally intended, Rebecca finally parked at the airport and headed into the large and familiar building. As soon as she got into the building she looked for the arrivals gate for a London flight. Although she noticed several flights that could be the one with Cat’s cousin, and so she pulled out her cell phone and dialed Cat’s number, laughing when she heard the familiar ringtone from across the room. She followed the sound while waiting for Cat to answer.
“Ello?”
“Cat, where are you? I just got to the airport.”
“Good to hear you made it. We’re at N Gate. Where are you?”
“Heading there as we speak. I’m passing K Gate right now. So give me two seconds and I should be there.”
“Great, I think the plane’s about to land so I’m really glad that you’re here. Ryan too, I’m sure.”
“Okay then, I’ll be right over then. See you then.”
“Ciao.”
Becca hung up her cell phone and smiled as she walked up behind Cat and Ryan grinning mischievously as she playfully wrapped her arms around Ryan’s waist. She laughed as he jumped, almost muttering an explicative at the surprise. But then again, that was the fun in it, she guessed.
Ryan spun around and glared at her, although there was still a bit of laughter in his eyes as well. “Becca, I swear to god, if you ever do such a thing again, I will kill you and not feel the least bit sorry.” He turned to Cat, who was standing beside him, giggling quietly into her hand. “And just what do you think you’re doing, Mrs. Ross?” He pulled Cat into his arms, kissing her with a smile.
As the couple pulled apart, Cat winked at Becca with a conspiratorial smirk. “He only calls me that when he’s hot and bothered. Which is most of the time.”
Becca laughed at Cat’s response, shaking her head. “Thanks for the info, Cat. Although I really didn’t need to know your kinky sex pet names for each other.”
“ATTENTION LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, FLIGHT 963 FROM LONDON HAS LANDED AND WILL BE DISEMBARKING SHORTLY.”
Cat groaned at the announcement from the attendant standing at the gate. “Great, that would be Sophia. Remind me to go kill myself now.”
Ryan shook his head while pulling Cat to him, trying to reassure her as only he could. “Don’t worry, Kitten. Besides, we can always just take her into the city and leave her. After all, is it really our fault if she gets lost and then attacked?”
Becca laughed at Ryan’s suggestion, just as Cat playfully swatted him in the arm. Although at that moment people started filing out from the walkway and all three turned awaiting the dreaded arrival of Cat’s demonic cousin.
Becca turned to Cat with a small smile that was mostly forced. “So, what’s the demon cousin look like?”
“Blonde cheerleader should describe her, right Ryan?”
Ryan groaned at the question, having been unfortunate enough to have met Sophia one time while he had been to England to visit Cat’s parents shortly after he and Cat had started dating. Becca laughed and merely shook her head before turning her attention to the stream of people disinterestedly.
“Catrianna, darling!” The sound of a rather high pitched British accent caused all three to turn with apprehension towards the large group of people coming down from the plane.
The sight that they saw was a little worse than Becca had expected. A rather peppy looking blonde girl about their age rushed over and pulled Cat into a hug, leaving kisses on either cheek before pulling back with a grin. As she pulled back, Becca caught sight of her outfit and almost got sick from the amount of pink. She had nothing against the color, just Sophia was wearing way too much for Becca’s tastes.
“And who are these two people, Kitty dear?”
“You should remember Ryan, he’s my husband. And this is Rebecca, she’s my best friend.”
The squeal that erupted from Sophia’s lips at the mention of Ryan being Cat’s husband was almost deafening. Although at Cat’s introduction to Becca, Sophia didn’t seem to care much about. But that was perfectly alright with Becca. After all, if Sophia had liked her, then she would have had to talk to her.
“I didn’t know you were married, Kitty! And you snagged such a cutie too! Same he’s not single, he seems very ... interesting.”
With this comment, Sophia seemed to give Ryan the once over, causing a bright blush to erupt on his cheeks. Becca barely managed to keep from laughing at that, along with the near growl on Cat’s face. She knew that there was probably going to be a public scene if they didn’t get out soon enough. So of course, Becca took crowd control on as her own job.
“Well, lets get Sophia’s bags and get back to the apartment before the crowds and traffic get crazy. Rush hour is hectic around here.”
“That sounds like a great idea, Becky.”
Becca stopped in her tracks, nearly causing Ryan to run into her, but he stopped just in time and lightly rubbed the small of her back, a gesture that had always been soothing. She abhorred the nickname, and already it was a strike against Sophia.
“Um, Sophia, don’t call Becca that, please. Now let’s grab your bags and get out of here.”
Becca smiled gratefully at Ryan for sticking up for her. Although the look of condescension from Sophia caused Becca to get worried just a little. Boy this wasn’t looking like a walk in the park for any of them.
