Angel's Shock chapter 7
The following is a work of total fiction. I have never met Darren or Daniel and like everyone else apart from them and their partners I do not know their true sexual preferences. I do not mean any disrespect or harm to either of them.
After Angel lef cal called Daniel and asked him to come over, he said he'd be there soon.
He arrived and went inside.
"What's up Dar?"
"I needed to see you. As I told you on the phone, Angel came over and told me some news. I wanted to tell you. Plus I'm feeling really fragile, I needed you to be here."
Daniel pulled him gently into his arms and gave him a hug and kissed him.
"So what did she have to say? Where has she been? Is she ok?"
"She's been staying in a bedsit in town, she's ok. Obviously still very upset but she is starting to come to terms with the situation. Danny, there's no easy way to tell you this. Just know that it doesn't make any difference to you and I. She's not coming back to me. She's pregnant!"
Daniel pulled back from hugging Darren.
"What? She's pregnant? How can you say it makes no difference? I'd say it makes a lot of difference. You're going to have a child together; of course it makes a difference. It's not just you, me and Angel we have to consider, there's an innocent child involved now. Oh Darren, you have to be with her they'll both need you."
"There's nothing I'd like better except I don't want to give you up. She won't come back to me anyway; she's made it quite clear it's over between us. Even if I did give you up she wouldn't come back. I've hurt her too much. She just wanted to tell me about the baby and ask if I would help support it."
"What did you?" ?"
"This is my child, I'm not going to turn my back on her. She needs me; of course I'm going to help her. We have too much history for me to even consider not helping her. You don't mind do you? You and I will stay the same, I still love you and want to be with you."
"Of course I don't mind. If you were willing to turn your back on your own child, I wouldn't want you anyway. I just think you should try to get around her to think again. A child needs both its parents. I love you Darren, you know that, but I won't stand in your way if there's a chance of you two get bac back together. Even if it's just for the sake of the baby. You have to try, babe."
"I've tried Danny, really I have. It's over, if I push it I don't think we will even be friends anymore. We have to be at least friends for our baby's sake; I don't want to risk losing her more than I already have. We can still be good parents to this baby; I'm going to make sure that I am the best father I can be. We really have to make this career of ours a success now, I'm going to have a child to support."
"Is she ok about us? She's not going to keep the baby away from you because you're with me, is she?"
"No, she's ok, she was even worried about how you would feel about it once you found out. She told me to make it clear to you that you wouldn't be losing me to her. She'll never want me back. It's just you and me now."
"Has she told her parents you've split up?"
"Not yet. I think she's going to see them tomorrow. I don't know what she's going to tell them. She's agreed not to tell anyone the truth, it was her idea actually. I guess she's embarrassed that I cheated on her with you. Maybe it would have been easier on her if it was a woman she caught me with, not that I would ever have done that. I've never been interested in any other women or men for that matter, there has only ever been you and Angel for me."
"Well, I'm glad to hear that. I don't mind sharing you with Angel, apart from anything else it's a great cover for us, but I wouldn't put up with you seeing another man. If Angel really doesn't want you anymore I guess that means I have you all to myself, you're all mine now."
"Yeah babe, I'm all yours. If you'll have me?"
"Of course I'll have you, always. I love you Darren, always have, always will."
"Glad to hear that. I need you Dan, let's go to bed."
