“Ohhh no no no no, I do not think so…” Adrienne said as she turned on her heal, fully prepared to exit the movie theatre and walk home…then swim to America if necessary.
“That’s it, I’m calling home to have someone pick me up,” she said, pulling out her cell and hitting her speed dial.

Snatching the phone from her, he heard someone pick up on the other line.

“Hello, Hello? Who is this?” the man on the other line asked.

“Sorry about this, “Yoochun said as he held his hand on Adrienne’s forehead, keeping her flailing arms away from her phone. “Min just got scared by a little movie poster, it’s nothing to worry about, again, sorry!” He smiled as he flipped the phone closed and handed it back to her. He finally took his hand off of her head and surveyed the sight in front of him. He couldn’t help but laugh at her appearance. All her flailing had caused her hat to fall off and her hair to become unruly. He let out a small chuckle,

“Oh come on…it’s not that bad…wait have you seen it already? It just came out.” Yoochun asked, grabbing her arm as she tried to walk away from him. Adrienne was so insistent that she could actually feel Yoochun sliding a bit on the tile flooring. “Hey you are stronger than you look….” He grunted, having to use his other arm to successfully fix her by his side.

Adrienne yanked her arm away from him and pouted, huffing her bangs out of her eyes, “It’s from seven years of playing soccer. Just so you know, I have a really strong kick” she glowered at him as she tried to smooth her appearance.

Yoochun let out a nervous laugh and then realized what she had meant by that statement. His eyes widened as he flailed his arms dramatically, “Ohh! Min! There is no reason to be having thoughts like that,” He said as he patted her shoulders, “You wouldn’t do that to a friend would you…..” Adrienne turned her head and refused to answer.

“Would you…?” he asked as his voice cracked and he slightly twisted his body for whatever protection it might allow.

“Well, it depends…if you make me watch this movie, I can’t say that I wouldn’t consider it.” She grumbled, staring at her toes.

“Oh Min, don’t worry, I already bought the tickets and I’m sure Dawn of the Dead isn’t that…bad.” He tried to assure her and then cleared his through when he thoroughly processed the name of the movie. “If it makes you feel any better, I will be there to protect you!” He exclaimed, flashing a brave smile.

“Oh yeah…that’s a comforting thought.” She snorted, rolling her eyes.

“Hey! Yoochun! Min!” Yunho yelled to his friends that he had finally spotted in the movie theater. “Excuse me…sorry, excuse me…” he apologized as he waded through the crowd that had collected itself in the front of the building.

“Ah, finally I found you…” he said as he let out a puff of air, “Sorry I’m late, did you pick me up a ticket?”

“Yeah, it’s no problem man, “Yoochun said as he handed his friend a small piece of paper. “Where are Junsu, Changmin and Jae?”

“They are inside saving us seats, so we better go before someone takes them…they’re right up front too! I can’t wait!” he exclaimed as he jumped up the stairs in excitement.

Adrienne groaned loudly and rocked back and forth on her feet. Yoochun had started to follow his friend, not noticing that Adrienne had…accidentally…stayed behind. She quietly turned to walk the other way when a strong hand grabbed her arm and yanked her along,

“Come on…” He insisted. Deciding that it was too risky not to, he didn’t let go of her hand till they had made it into their seats.

“Hello, Yoochun, Min,” Junsu greeted them happily; “You guys are just in time! We were lucky enough to save you guys seats with us in the forth row, isn’t it great!”

Yoochun nodded, motioning to Adrienne to sit. She was too busy trying to wedge herself around him to notice that the others had greeted her. Yoochun let out an exasperated sigh as he grabbed her by her shoulders and physically placed her in her seat. Once he had finally secured her in her spot, he strategically situated himself so that she couldn’t escape, not without crawling over a dozen strangers at least.

“I’m surprised that you got her to come, Yoochun,” Jae said, leaning forward to look at his friend, “It took me and Junsu twenty minutes just to get Hae and Soo out of the car.”

Yoochun laughed as he rested his ankle on his knee, “Well you should see the skid marks Min’s heals left on the lobby’s carpet. I had to physically drag her here.” He snickered as he glanced at Adrienne, who was thoroughly displeased by the situation she found herself in. “Hi Hae…Soo, good to see you two again.” He added, bowing his head slightly and nudging Adrienne to greet the girls.

Adrienne smacked his elbow away from her before leaning forward, “Hello, sorry I didn’t say hello sooner, I was too busy trying to get away, Can you believe they are making us watch this!?” She asked as she observed the two girls. Both were quite beautiful, with dark hair and pale skin. Though Hae, Junsu’s girlfriend seemed to be a little more outgoing than Soo, Jae’s girlfriend.

“No! I can’t believe they dragged us here!” Hae exclaimed, smacking Junsu on the head with her fist. Junsu howled and threw his hands on his head as he tried to rub the pain away,

“Haaeeeee, that was so uncalled for!” He whimpered as he nursed the budding knot on the top of his head.

“Oh I think it definitely was…good idea Hae,” Soo added as she swiftly bopped her own boyfriend on the head. “You guys should know better by now!” She pouted, crossing her arms.

“Hey, shush! The movie is starting,” Changmin whispered, peering around from the other side Hae, “Hi Min, it’s good to see you again! Want some popcorn?” He asked, thrusting this bag towards her.

Adrienne gave him a little wave before declining his offer. Settling into her seat, she adjusted so that she could easily throw her hands over her eyes if necessary.

The movie was just as frightening as Adrienne had expected. If the sounds from the movie weren’t bad enough, the screaming from the other patrons was worse, each causing her to jump from fright.

man, I’m not going to be able to sleep for weeks…

Adrienne sighed and closed her eyes. “Why me….” She whimpered.

“What was that?” Yoochun whispered to her, not taking his eyes off the screen.

“nothing” She replied, glaring at him. She flicked her eyes at the screen just in time to see some unearthly monster bite into someone’s arm.

“Ahhh!!!” She screamed as she latched onto Yoochun’s arm, burying her face into the side of his chest.

hey…he smells kind of good. WAIT, no don’t think such things…he’sevil …and he must pay...

Yoochun adjusted his arm so that it was slung over her shoulders and gave it her a quick pat, “There there…it’s ok, don’t worry I will protect you.” He smirked , rubbing her shoulder.

“You….are so going to pay for this…dearly…maybe even with your life.” She mumbled into his side.

He let out a small giggle and poked her cheek, “Don’t do that... that tickles.”

Adrienne smirked, making a mental note of his ticklishness,

you …will pay

After what seemed to be an eternity, the movie finally ended and everyone trickled out into the lobby.

“That was such an awesome movie!” Yonho exclaimed as she bounced around Junsu and Jae. “Let’s see it again!” He said, “Ooo video games…” His eyes glazed over as he meandered over to the arcade.

“Hey….Where is Changmin?” Jae asked, looking around, “He was sitting next to you Hae, did you see him come out?”

“No…I thought he was right behind me…maybe he went to the bathroom.?” She shrugged as she went back to her conversation with Soo

Adrienne heard a little whimper and she turned to see Changmin standing by the trash can. His face looked extremely pale and he seemed to be having a bit of trouble walking.

“Changmin, hey, are you ok?” She asked as a worried expression set over her soft features. Changmin shuffled slowly towards her before he finally lost it. His popcorn bag flew from his hands has he latched his arms around Adrienne.

“Oh my GOD THAT WAS SO SCAAAARRRYY!!!” He cried into her shoulder.

“Ooof!” Adrienne let out a puff of air as she tried to steady herself. Adjusting for Changmin’s weight, she rubbed his back with her hand. “Oh geez…Changmin, hey, it’s ok…don’t worry it was just a movie,” she assured him before glaring at Yoochun.

“Now look what you’ve done!” she mouthed at him

Yoochun shrugged, picking a couple of pieces of popcorn from his hair, “Hey, I wasn’t the only one that wanted to see the movie,” He clapped Changmin on the back. “It’s ok, you’ll forget about it.”

Changmin continued to whimper into Adrienne’s shoulder until Yoochun removed him from her person.

“Here, I will buy you lunch tomorrow, will that help?” He asked, patting his friend’s back.

He sniffled and rubbed his nose before he finally gave a little nod.

“Great! That settles it,” he breathed as he turned to his friends, “So, what do we want to do,”

Junsu and Jae gave a little shrug before they went to retrieve Yunho, who was currently slamming his fingers furiously on the keypad of one of the video games in the arcade.

“Well, my parents are out of town, if you all want to come over, “ Soo said, as she adjusted her purse on her shoulder, “ Hae and I didn’t get the chance to eat before we were forced to live through this torture, so if you all are hungry, we could order some pizzas or something. Hey!! Lets’ make it a pool party! My parents just finished installing it last week!” she bounced at her idea.

“Ehhh, that sounds like fun but, um I don’t have a swimsuit with me.” Adrienne said, as she swatted at Yoochun’s finger, which was currently poking her in the arm…just for the sake of being annoying.

“Well,” Soo pondered as she gave Adrienne a once over with her eyes, “You look to be the same size as me, so you can borrow one of mine. There, that settles it. JAE, stop acting like a child and let’s go!”

Soo and Hae stalked to their respective men and hauled them off. Adrienne sighed audibly as she cast Yoochun a sideways glare. He had now move from poking her arm to poking her cheek.

“Oh will you stop it and let’s go!!” She said, whacking him with her purse. “I swear….” She grumbled as she briskly strode in front of him to catch up with the rest of the group.

Yoochun sighed as he watched her walk away. He couldn’t help but feel a bit goofy. She had put him in a good mood. The movie had worked like a charm…he got to put his arm around her without having to use some lame line and now, she is probably so scared that she will call him in the middle of the night asking for him to comfort her.

He laughed maniacally to himself as he jogged up to his friends, “So…how about that pool party!”
