The next few weeks were a blur. Orlando would call or IM me every night and sometimes during the day. I loved to hear his voice. He told me that it was getting unbearable without me. That made me feel wonderful. My work was also getting more and more hectic everyday. My book hit the shelves and took off. My agent started booking me on television shows for interviews. Before every show, my agent would tell the interviewee that I would not like to talk about my personal life. My personal life was just that … personal! I would talk to Orlando the night before my appearances. I would tell him that I would say or do certain things that only he would know that I was thinking about him. One show, I put my hair behind my ear. On another show, I said I loved the beach. Orlando always knew he was top on my mind. Then it happened… I was approached by a movie studio. They wanted to make my book into a movie. A MOVIE! I could not believe it. I even joked with Orlando about having him star in my movie. He would come back with “I won’t accept money from you … but favors, maybe.”
It seemed like everyday blurred into the other. I worked long hours watching my story become a movie. Orlando would call me several times a day and make sure I was eating, sleeping, and still thinking about him. It was a wonderful time except I needed him in person. One morning on the set, I was writing some changes to the script. My stomach growled so I knew it was around noon. I felt someone come up behind me and whisper in my ear. “So, can I get a kiss from the most talented screenwriter ever?” I felt my heart stop. I turned around to see my Orli standing there. His skin was dark from the sun and his hair was messy. He had a full face of stubble that tickled my ear when he spoke. “I told you to shave before any kisses!” I jumped into his arms and hugged him tight. He kissed me deep. It had a sense of urgency like the world would end if he did not consume me. “What are you doing here, baby?” He smirked and spun me around. “Is that how you greet me … How about I missed you … Can’t wait to get you alone.” I hugged him tightly and kissed his scruffy face. “I MISSED YOU! I LOVE YOU! CAN I PLEASE HAVE YOU NOW! Is that better baby!” Orlando laughed hysterically. I looked around the set and everyone was laughing at the site of the two lovers being reunited. “Pete, I am going to lunch!” I hollered to the director. “Bye Kat…See you tomorrow!” He winked at Orlando and me as we walked through the studio door.
“Where did you learn those tricks, love?” Orlando panted as I adjusted myself in his arms sprawled out on our bed, I blushed. “It is from many explicit dreams about you. I thought I would try some for real.” It pulled me closer and covered us with the sheet. He kissed my neck and nuzzled my cheek. “Anytime … use me … please.” Orlando sighed deeply. I could feel sleep approaching me. He murmured something in my ear but I could tell that Orlando could not fight off sleep any more than I could. We fell asleep in each others arms content and happy. I was in the arms of my Orlando … my true love.
