Chapter Seven.
Trees… a deserted road… a car… a cop car… danger… pain… each thrust sent a searing pain… it was getting hard to breathe… “Oh princess you’re so pretty”… “Ah, you’re not enjoying it. Lemme make it better”… “Mikey?”… “Stay there”… a shot.
Mikey opened his eyes. “Frank? FRANK?” Mikey screamed, tears streaming down his face. Frank came rushing to his side.
“Mikey?” he said, holding Mikey close to him.
“Frank… he was here… I was there again and… he… Oh god!” Mikey said, crying harder, clutching Frank harder, holding on to him for dear life.
Frank took Mikey’s face in his hands. “Mikey baby, listen to me… I’m here. He’s not gonna hurt you. I won’t let him hurt you ever again… You’re safe with me…” Frank said, kissing Mikey’s forehead softly. He held Mikey until his cries subsided. “Mikey, I’m just gonna go to the kitchen, okay?”
“Don’t leave me, Frank. Please…” Mikey pleaded with his teary eyes.
“I won’t baby, I won’t ever leave you…” Frank said “I’m just gonna go to the kitchen… get some water for you, okay?”
Mikey reluctantly let go of Frank. Frank went to the kitchen to get a bottle of water Gerard had brought in earlier. When he went back to Mikey’s side, Mikey held onto him again.
“C’mon. Drink this, baby…” Frank said, raising the bottle to Mikey’s lips, helping him drink. Mikey coughed a little and wrapped his arms around Frank. Frank petted Mikey’s hair softly. “You wanna talk about… that?”
Mikey shook his head. “Not now, please…”
“Ok. We’ll talk about it when you’re ready…”
They stayed silent for a while, holding each other. “You’re okay now?” Frank asked.
“Yeah…” Mikey said in a whisper. “Frank?”
“What, baby?”
“Make it go away, please…” Mikey said, looking deep into Frank’s eyes.
Frank never felt so helpless in all his life. He swallowed hard. “What do you want me to do?”
“Kiss me… please…” Mikey pleaded.
“Okay…” Frank said, taking Mikey’s face into his hands and pressing their lips softly. Mikey wrapped his arms around Frank tighter, letting his tongue lick Frank’s lips, begging entrance. Frank opened his mouth and met Mikey’s tongue with his softly. He lied back down, pulling Mikey on top of him, as they continued to kiss softly.
They pulled back slowly after a while, Frank caressing Mikey’s cheek softly. “I love you, Mikey… and I hate that you had to go through all that… I hate that I couldn’t save you from…”
“Shhh. Don’t.” Mikey said, kissing Frank again. “I love you too, baby…” yet another kiss. Mikey pulled back, laying his head on Frank’s chest. “Are we ever gonna be okay?” he sighed.
“Yeah. I think we are, baby…” Frank said, wrapping his arms around Mikey protectively. “We’re gonna make it.”
Mikey managed to smile a little and cuddled closer to Frank. “Thank you…” he said.
“For what?” Frank asked.
“For being there for me…”
“It’s my duty as a boyfriend, right?” Frank said.
Mikey smiled. “Yeah, I guess so. I love you…”
“Love you too, babe.” Frank said, kissing Mikey’s lips softly.
