Disclaimer:
This is a work of fiction. I do not know the celebrity I am writing about. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
7.They always said that sex would change you
I wake up alone.
There is no trace of Ryan anywhere.
I get out of bed, get dressed, and go downstairs looking for him.
"Ryan!" I yelled, running towards his side. "Why is your lip bleeding?"
He doesn't say anything, just points across the room at Brendon.
It doesn't take long to figure out what's going on.
"Why were you two fighting?"
"You come home and drag your best friend out of your sisters' bed and see how you like it." Brendon mumbles.
I roll my eyes and sigh.
"I knew this would happen."
"Maybe you should have thought about that before you did my best friend."
"Brendon, grow up!"
"I am grown up!"
"Then start acting mature and handle this the right way!"
"Handle what the right way?! How would you handle coming home and finding Alex naked in my bed with me?"
I tried to stifle a laugh.
"That's different, Alex is a guy."
"Whatever, I don't want you two seeing each other, so stop."
I look at Ryan for some kind of support or encouragement, but he's staring at his shoes.
Some boyfriend you are..
"Brendon, we can't, so just deal with it."
"Deal with-Ryan, tell her you two are over!" Brendon yelled, his voice raising.
"I can't, Brendon, she means too much to me."
So the boy can speak.
"Then we can't be friends anymore."
Brendon stands up and walks out of the room, hitting his shoulder against mine as he passes by.
I ran my fingers through my hair as I sat down next to Ryan.
"What are we supposed to do?" I asked him.
"I think you should move out."
"Ryan, I don't have the money, and i`m barely eighteen."
"We`ll make the money, we can buy a house together."
"I`m not sure if we should live together, we haven't been dating long."
"But we've known each other forever." He argued.
"Just wait until school is over and we`ll see."
I smiled and held his hand while I walked him to the front door, kissing him then watching him walk home through the rain.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The moment I stepped back inside, I ran up to Brendon's room, knocking the door open and pinning him against the wall.
"What is your problem?" I asked in the nicest tone possible.
"What is yours?!? Sleeping with my friends because you can't get anyone on your own!? Leave me alone, Missa, you're the worst sister ever."
I glared at him for a moment, just staring with pure hatred.
"You don't mean that."
"I mean every word of it, now get out before I tell mom you screwed her best friends son."
I ran out of his room, slamming the door behind me.
None of this had occured to me last night.
How can something so perfect cause something so disastrous?
It just didn't make sense.
I ran all the way across the hall to my room, packing three bags of clothes and left in my car.
I didn't know where I was going, I didn't care, all I knew to do was to pick up Ryan.
The moment I pulled into the driveway outside his house I heard the fighting, and waited for him to come outside with his own bag.
"Sorry it took so long." He whispered.
"Don't worry about it."
Where are we going?"
"Anywhere but here, we have to get out."
"So, where is out?" He laughed.
"What's that way?" I asked, pointing at a sign for a highway.
"California."
"California it is, then."
"You're not serious, are you?"
I stopped the car at a stop sign and stared at him.
"You don't know how serious I am."
