Sorry about the lack of updates. I've been pretty busy working two jobs and going out with friends. This is one chapter I don't really like, but the next chapter is a good one. You guys will get to know what Mikey, Frank, and Bob go out and do when the others get drunk at the hotel rooms. Oh man. RXR.
Brandi gazed about, walking the streets of Las Vegas. She was slightly drunk, but was able to keep her balance and not stumble when she walked past two police officers. She grabbed her cell phone out of her pocket, checking the time. She frowned when she realized it was off, and the battery was dead. She turned right, walking into the venue parking lot towards the tour busses. She screamed out loud when John, Chad, Tony, and Gerard all tackled into her, taking all of them to the ground. Brandi sat up, looking at all of them with an angry face. “God damn guys. I was gone for thirty minutes. I know you didn’t miss me that much, so quit trying to act like it.” John sat up, sighing loudly. He swung a hand around and smacked her in the back of the head. Brandi groaned, rubbing the spot where he hit her. “What the fuck was that for?” John sighed, getting up to his feet and helping Tony up. “You can be so stupid sometimes.” Brandi scoffed, standing to her feet, not caring if she was stepping on Gerard or Chad, which she did, stepping on Chad’s hand and almost crushing Gerard’s groin. He leaped out of the way quickly, jumping to his feet and helping Chad up. Brandi stood still for a moment before stumbling a bit and walking towards the bus. She wanted to go pass out in her bunk. They got to the bus, John and Tony getting inside. Gerard grabbed Brandi’s arm. “Chad, is it okay if I talk to Brandi for a minute?” Chad turned around, looking at Gerard before looking to Brandi. She gave him a pleading look, hoping he would say no. But much to her dismay, Chad smiled and nodded. He turned and went inside the bus, shutting the door. Brandi slumped somewhat. Gerard tugged on her arm, smiling. “Come on. Walk with me for a minute.” Brandi obliged, slowly walking next to him around the vacated parking lot. When he finally spoke, he startled her somewhat. “About the other night Brandi.” Brandi stopped walking, not sure if she wanted to talk about it at all. She sighed. “What about it?” Gerard didn’t stop walking, but kept his dark smile away from Brandi’s view. “I just wanted to let you know I didn’t plan it.” He listened to Brandi laugh, making his dark smile grow. “Gerard, I really don’t even remember. I was pretty fucked up.” Gerard frowned, biting his lip. She was a horrible liar. He turned around, looking at her. “I heard you and Chad had somewhat of a scuffle over it.” Brandi shrugged, laying down on the ground and looking up at the sky. Gerard walked over, looking down at her. “Why’d you just shrug? You guys seem happy together. I don’t want to ruin that for you.” Brandi laughed, shaking her head. “Well, I guess you’d be surprised about that.” Gerard looked at her, sitting down a few feet away. “What do you mean?” Brandi shrugged. “We’re nice around people and such, but get us alone, and we’re completely different people.” Gerard frowned. “What do you mean?” He repeated himself, biting his lip. Brandi stared. “You really can’t tell?” Gerard shook his head. Brandi laughed. “Come on, Gerard. I’m an alcoholic. Chad’s a straight edge. It’s been like that forever. I get fucked up to the point where he has to make sure I wake up in the morning.” Gerard stared off at the ground, thinking his next statement through carefully. “But still, that’s not a big deal most of the time. What makes you so unsure about your relationship?” Brandi looked at him hard, trying to see through him. “You really want to know, don’t you?” Gerard nodded. “It’s some fucked up shit; I’ll let you know right now.” Gerard shrugged. “Lay it on me, kid.” Brandi smiled. She took a deep breath, scared that she was actually about to tell someone her deepest secret. “If I tell you, you can’t tell anyone. Especially Chad.” Gerard nodded. “If I tell a soul, you can rip my heart out.” Brandi watched in slight amusement as he pretended to rip his heart out and fall backwards dead. “Tell me.” Brandi took a deep breath. She stopped when the bus door flew open. “Brandi!” Brandi turned around. Zach was standing in the doorway, looking for her. “What Zach?” Gerard laughed. Zach jumped off the bus. “John, Chad, and Tony are picking on me.” Brandi sighed. She got up, forgetting about Gerard and walked to the tour bus. Gerard sat there, knowing she wasn't going to come back. He lay back on the pavement and watched the stars, smiling to himself.
“Why can’t you guys grow up a little bit?” Brandi was pissed. Tony shoved her slightly. “Well, who really wants to grow up Brandi?” Brandi turned around on him and he backed away, going to his bunk. John wasn’t paying attention, his eyes glued to the television playing video games. Brandi rounded on Chad, who was staring at her smiling. Brandi pointed a finger at him. “Don’t fucking start.” Chad made a face, looking up at her angrily. He smiled, cracking his neck a bit. “Brandi, can I talk to you outside for a minute?” He didn’t give her time to respond as he shoved her off the bus. He got outside and pushed her against the bus. “What the fuck is your problem?” Brandi shook her head. “Those guys put me in a bad mood. So do you.” She poked him in the chest, bringing on what she had expected. He swung his hand and collided with her cheek. Her face grew hot, tears forming in her eyes. He swung again, hitting her cheek. Brandi doubled over laughing, tears falling from her eyes. She stood up, swinging at him. “Stay the fuck away from me.” Chad laughed heartlessly. “As far as I’m concerned, we’re over.” He bent down, screaming it in her face. Brandi felt her soul break in two, shoving Chad away and walking off. Chad got back on the bus, going to back room.
Gerard had witnessed the whole event, lying on the ground, unseen. After Chad went inside, he got to his feet, moving on the pavement as fast as possible towards Brandi. "Brandi!" She turned around, clearly hurt. She collapsed in his arms, sobbing. He sat down, cradling her. He softly stroked her hair, shushing her softly. "Is that what you were going to tell me, Brandi?" Brandi nodded slowly, her grip tightening around his chest.
"Chad? What's wrong?" John followed Chad down the hallway into the back of the bus. Chad slammed the door in his face. "Chad, what happened?" John pressed his ear to the door, listening. "Nothing John, just leave me alone." John made a face, pressing the door open. He froze, looking at Chad. He was curled up on the couch, clutching himself, crying. John shut the door, sitting down next to him. "What happened buddy?" Chad wiped his eyes, grabbing a pillow. "I fucking hit her." John almost fell back. He had always known they somewhat were abusive every now and then, but they always made up afterwards. "What do you mean?" John was still blown away that Chad openly admitted it so easily. Chad sighed heavily. "I hit her; I smacked her on the face twice." He rolled over, crying harder. "What else happened buddy?" Chad buried himself more into the couch. "I told her off." John sighed heavily. “Are you going to be okay if I go look for her?” Chad nodded. “Don’ tell the guys.” John nodded. He got up and walked out of the room. Tony and Zach were sitting there, staring. Tony nodded at the back room. “We should leave Chad alone?” John nodded. He hopped off the bus, pulled out a cigarette, lighting it and looked around. He knew Brandi well enough to know she wouldn't wander far. He walked towards the back end of the bus and heard her crying, and someone else talking. He rounded the corner, seeing Gerard holding Brandi. Brandi's face was buried in his chest, so she couldn't see John. Gerard looked up. He shook his head and John nodded. John turned and walked back to the bus, stopping for a minute. He started to wonder if this band would even survive the rest of the week.
