A/N: Thanks for reviews! And I agree with you, Mana really needs to get some love. ;) That will happen when others have been paired. This chapter is... SHORT. Sorry... -_-
Chapter 7
Kyo closed his mathematics book and started to push it back to his schoolbag. The class was finished again, so was the whole school day. "Okay... So now homeworks. You'll do this test and give it back to me tomorrow. Or Kaoru, if he arrives here tomorrow..."
"Don't have to think twice who I'm giving it to", Kyo howled. "You can be sure I'm not giving anything to Niikura!"
Toshiya giggled to that, then saying loudly: "Yeah, I already made that test. So I have no homework this evening!"
"I meant the other test. This one", Daisuke said and gave them new tests. Toshiya sighed and buried his face to his desk.
"And I point out, this test really must be done 'til tomorrow. No buts", Daisuke finished. "Remember to bring those tests to me or Kaoru!!!"
"Sure, if I survive alive making this stupid test", Kyo groaned. Then he noticed that Toshiya was staring at him with a thoughtful expression on his face. "What?" he asked.
"Would you like to... umm... come to my house now?" Toshiya asked. He wanted to be nice to Kyo and also have some time with Kyo only. They had spent the day together with Shinya and Daisuke. Toshiya hadn't liked it at all. Shinya didn't like him, and Daisuke... well, he was a nerd. But still Daisuke was better company than Kaoru. Daisuke had followed them every where, feeling himself scared without his best friend beside him. They had thought they had gotten rid of him when they went to their classes but during breaks Daisuke had always managed to find them, again!
Kyo was thinking hard. This was the first day Toshiya had spend some time with him and not those bastards, and he was already asking him to come and visit him...
"Why?" he asked, not answering yet. He wanted to be sure about Toshiya's intentions even though the younger boy had rescued him and helped him. They weren't friends, not yet. He wasn't sure if he could trust Toshiya completely yet. Toshiya had been so popular and mean to him. And he also was a little bit strange in some way...
"Well... I was just... thinking that... we could do something together", Toshiya answered shyly. Daisuke eyed them curiously.
"..." Kyo didn't get a word from his mouth.
"Umm... I would also like to get to know you better. And we could make those stupid homeworks together? I can't understand a thing alone", Toshiya laughed. Kyo nodded, grinning. "Okay..."
"Okay, the class is finished", Daisuke sighed. "You can all go home now. And remember the homework."

Kyo sat to Toshiya's family's sofa, watching around him eyes widened. Toshiya noticed that Kyo wasn't alright and took his hand on Kyo's shoulder, asking carefully: "Is something wrong?"
"No... I just... I don't feel like I'd belong here", Kyo answered sadly. "This house is... so huge and... beautiful and clean. I have never ever been in a place like this. I've always been poor and lonely and... no one has asked me to come and visit, only Shinya. You are the first one... And you are so much... better than me." He was ashamed to admit that, but it was true.
"What? No I'm not..." Toshiya sighed kindly. "I... I'll go make some coffee. Or... do you even drink coffee?"
"Yes, I drink it... but... what if your... parents come home and I'm here?" Kyo whispered scared. "I'm sure they wouldn't like you to hang out with someone like me..."
Toshiya understood that Kyo was afraid, but he just told him to calm down. "Everything is fine, Kyo. They don't decide who I hang out with. And besides, you are not bad company at all. You are the kindest person I've ever known. I don't understand why Kei, Mizuki and Yuki don't like you. They said you are arrogant and what else, but you aren't... You have just been through a lot, bullying and... And... I really would like to be your friend from this day forward. I really want to get to know you better."
Kyo realised he was blushing. No one had never talked to him like that. Toshiya had just said he was the kindest person he had ever known though he was often angry and really wasn't nice to anyone, not even to Toshiya not so long ago. But Toshiya... saw how he was inside and understood that he only had had a hard life. That had made him like this. It felt weird to hear Toshiya hoping to be his friend, though. He didn't understand why Toshiya wanted it. Toshiya could still be a normal, popular boy but he didn't want to. Toshiya... wanted to be his friend... He was so lucky. First he had hated Toshiya and thought that he was like Kei and his friends. But no, Toshiya was kind, honest and reliable. And shy. He wanted to be Toshiya's friend too.
"Toshiya, thanks", he whispered when Toshiya had already walked to the livingroom's door. "Thanks for inviting me. Thanks for wanting to be my friend..." The blackhaired boy turned his head to look at him and smiled, before leaving the room.

Twenty minutes later Kyo and Toshiya were making their maths homeworks in Toshiya's bed and drinking coffee at the same time. "Okay, let's make this one. The square root from sixteen..." Kyo sighed, scratching his head.
"A square root? What is that?" Toshiya giggled and Kyo hit his head with his notebook.
"Are you saying that you still don't know what it is? You must be kidding, right?"
"No, I'm not kidding . I haven't understood anything in classes", Toshiya giggled. Kyo shook his head. "You know that Niikura would kill you if he knew", he said.
"Ha! How could anyone learn anything there when all he does is threatening me with the pointer!!!" Toshiya said sadly and pulled his calculator from his schoolbag. "Let's do these homeworks with calculator."
"But Andou and especially Niikura have told us that we should manage to do these without using a calculator..." Kyo laughed.
"Who cares?! Those bastards aren't here. So they won't know... Hmmmmmm... What?! How can this be? The answer is eight?! How the fuck is that possible? I thought it would be four!"
"Don't look at me. I have no clue... I should be in high school already but I'm in ninth grade! Why do you think that has happened."
"Okay... So the answer is eight. Calculator doesn't lie. It always tells the truth", Toshiya groaned and wrote the answer down.
"Then the next one. Nine times three...? What a fucking test is this?! There is no sense in this! First there was a question about square root, now this... And there is also some questions about equation! What is this?!" Kyo got angry. Toshiya started to giggle again and Kyo turned his attention to the younger boy. "What are you laughing at?"
"You're... you're so funny!" Toshiya laughed. "So funny...!"
Kyo was going to say something but didn't get to say anything when he noticed something unexpected. He started to smile. Toshiya noticed this and eyed Kyo with a questioning look. Kyo managed to speak first. "You have a bass! Are you playing bass?!" he asked eagerly.
Toshiya nodded. "I got it for my birthday present from mom and dad when I was eleven. Since then I've always practised with it in evenings."
"Oh... That's interesting. I can play bass too. Shinya has a bass home and I've played it. It is easy and I like it. I used to play it when I was younger and he played drums at the same time. But I'm not too good at it."
"We have a lot in common", Toshiya said and grinned.
"Yeah. At least the thing that both of us can play bass and we don't understand anything about mathematics. And both of us can make Niikura go mad." Both of them laughed evilly for a moment. "So what do you think, should we make Niikura lose his mind completely? Because we really are good in it. I would enjoy seeing Niikura get a headache. Once again..."
"Yeah. I'd like that too. He makes me angry. That pointer-thing... It's just not fun!" Toshiya said. "Let's give him a lesson that he won't forget."
"And I'm not going to do these stupid homeworks anymore", Kyo sighed. "And neither are you. Let's go out."
"Okay." Toshiya stood up, smiling widely. He had never been this happy. He had a new friend. A real friend...
TBC...
A/N: So this chapter was just about Kyo and Toshiya. I made this one because I wanted you to see how warm their relationship is already. They won't be a couple yet so you have to wait a little bit. And oh, this was a short chapter because I've had such a hurry in school. I have these projects and all and I haven't really managed to do anything else but school work. :´( Next chapter will be longer though, I promise!
