Blah blah blah XD
On with the story, right?
*~*~*~*~*
Frank was worried about Luca. Really. She was still with her boyfriend, even though he had gone off on her at the homecoming dance, and that was a month ago. He shaved and thought of her while driving to work. The commute was awful, but well worth it.
He knew it wasn’t pity that he felt for Luca. Not at all. She would come running down the hallway, trying not to be late. He wouldn’t mark her tardy, not because he pitied her. But because she was just so…
'Pretty.’ He thought to himself. He hit his forehead on the steering wheel, knocking it out of his head. She was a student!
*~*~*~*~*~*
Nothing had changed. Gerard and Luca were still together, no matter who tried to pry them apart. She couldn’t deny she loved him. And she hated herself. She couldn’t deny she had feelings for Mr. Iero, either. And she hated him for it. She hated him so much, but at the same time she loved him for letting her cry on him like he did.
Gerard was amazing for a long time after that. He was nice, kind, and everything he was in the beginning. Except clingy, and needy. Luca was happy for the first time in a long time with that part of her life. The only trouble was that her friends hated Gerard. All except Kelly. And still, something was off. Something huge. Luca couldn't place her finger on it exactly, but she knew, deep down, something was not right.
Mr. Iero seemed to ignore her for the most part. The only time he really spoke with her was the Monday after the dance.
“Luca, I need to apologize for my behavior at the concessions stand. It was completely out of line. I shouldn’t have said anything like that.” He said, avoiding her eyes. “I shouldn’t make excuses, but I was feeling vulnerable.”
“It’s okay, I understand completely. It honestly didn’t bother me at all. It made me feel good, actually. Can I ask what happened?” She asked, curiosity taking over her.
“Well, it’s kind of a personal issue, but my fiancé and I are splitting.” He sighed, looking uncomfortable. Luca leaned forward and hugged him. “Thank you.” He said. He stopped and flinched, then walked off immediately. Luca furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
A week later in class he made an announcement about something called ‘Forensics.’
“So there is something I have after school called Forensics. It’s competitive acting. I would love it if some of you joined. In May we take a trip to Long Island and see the sights and compete. We stay overnight in a hotel.” Iero glanced towards Luca, but it could’ve been her imagination. “The only problem is that it costs $300. But we have fundraisers to do.” The bell rang and everyone got up. “Sit back down, I’m not done.”
Everyone sat down and grumbled under their breath. He smiled mischievously. “Have a good day.” He said, signaling everyone to go.
“That’s it?” Asked Danielle in anger. “I hardly have enough time to get to my class as it is, let alone having you hold me back!”
“Well,” Iero said, turning around. He looked at the clock. “You just wasted another half a minute telling me that, you might want to start running your ass up there, won’t you?” She gaped at him, but ran out of the classroom. “Danielle, don’t make me give you a referral for running in the hallways!”
“But you told me to!”
He just smiled in response. He was always like that. He played around, but never really did anything unless forced to do it.
Luca rolled her eyes and went to Biology. The rest of the day was boring, and Gerard was okay.
“Luca? I love you.” He said suddenly. She jumped.
“I love you too.” She said, wondering what his sudden admission was about. She shrugged it off and they parted ways, him going home, she going to the theatre, her home. She sat down, waiting for Mr. Toro. He didn’t come at all. Iero walked in and looked around.
“We are painting the set today, guys!” He said hyper-like. Luca smiled and shook her head. He started to sing some random song and she just busted out in laughter. She got up and followed the parade of students going downstairs. “Hey Luca! Help me find some BLUE! Paint.”
She followed him down the stairs and over by the Set Room. “So, I need some like sky bluish looking stuff. Gotcha?”
“Gotcha.” She replied, kneeling down. He walked away and she looked for some sky blue paint. She was so concentrated in her own thoughts, she didn’t feel him walk back behind her, or bend down so he was kneeling right behind her. She did feel it when he wrapped his muscular tattooed arms around her small frame and hugged her, sticking his mouth in the crook of her neck.
“I’m sorry I’ve ignored you the past week or so. I’ve just been busy and a little apprehensive about talking to you.”
“Why?” She asked. Feeling his lips against her skin was driving her crazy.
“Well, I felt awkward talking to you when you were the only one who knew about my separation.” With that, he broke away from her, perhaps realizing that he was still basically kissing her neck, or perhaps he had heard someone coming.
Mr. Toro, the tech director, appeared a second later, his frizzy chestnut hair bouncing around. “Oh, hey Luca!”
“Hey Mr. Toro!” She replied, standing up and giving him a huge smile.
“What are you two looking for?”
“Some sky blue paint, I guess.” She replied, covering up for Mr. Iero.
“Frank, you know that the blue paint is over here.” Mr. Toro said, smiling in ridicule and pointing. Luca turned around and glared at him slightly.
“Well, I guess we found it, didn’t we, Mr. Iero?” She asked him, watching him stand up. He walked over to the shelf and smiled.
“I found it! WOO!” He said, throwing his fist into the air. Luca rolled her eyes and began walking back up the stairs. Mr. Iero walked behind her. “I guess you can just chill out if you want.”
She nodded and sighed as she sat down on the couch that was part of the set. She soon got bored, however, and joined the actors in painting.
*~*~*~*~*
Luca was short. This had been the norm her entire life. She was the shortest in her family, always the shortest in her class. She knew that as well as everyone else.
“You’re really short.” Mr. Iero said with mock annoyance, standing directly behind her. He was watching her try to reach above the door, which she couldn't reach. At all. His tone was a laughing one, but she still blushed anyway.
“Well, you’re not too much taller than me!” She said, elbowing him in the stomach, making him stumble back and nearly fall down the stairs. Of course, he was over the top and caught the attention of the entire cast and crew.
When he was done with his theatrics, he got her a chair, helped her onto it and continued to watch everyone else work. “Lazy ass.” She muttered. He turned to look at her in accusation, but she stuck her tongue out at him. He scoffed and pretended to be hurt.
She was nearly finished painting the section she had been working. Luca stretched as far as she could to reach the last spot. As she did, her foot slipped off the chair. If Mr. Iero hadn’t been standing there, she would’ve broken something. He caught her with one arm.
Time slowed down as she looked into his eyes. ‘His beautiful, golden, chocolate, green, amazing eyes…’ She reminded herself. They got very close for a second. He seemed to realize they were out in the open and he instantly helped her to the floor. “Thanks. I’m really clumsy sometimes.”
“Yeah, sometimes. All the time, more like.” He said jokingly. "And! You're still really freaking short. Why don't you grow some?" He was joking, but it hurt Luca slightly. She walked away from him, fanning herself. She sat down in the comfy green seats and closed her eyes, feeling like an idiot. She always made herself look stupid in front of people.
Luca felt it was fitting to leave straight away, and that’s what she did. She called her mom and began the long walk home. Her mom was too busy for her.

There you have it. Chapter 7.
I don't know if I've already said it, but there are a whopping 17 chapters in this es oh bee.
And a possible sequel. It's thinking itself through.
Oh, on a bad note: I've never had a chapter that wasn't reviewed. There have now been two. I don't think I need to write the following word, but I will anyway:
R.E.V.I.E.W.
After all, I gave you TWO updates last time. I deserve something. ;) I still love you all. :D
