Shelley & Sienna arrived to take her home, “Yunho’s been calling to check on you every day Sasha, he really loves you a lot you know. He wanted to come today bu……….” Shelley was saying when Sasha cut her off in mid sentence.
“It’s best if you tell him to move on and forget about me. I can’t be what he wants and needs anymore, Daniel made sure of that,” she answered coldly. She was still somewhat detached, Junsu had come to see her but things were very strained between them.
“I’m going to lie down, I’m tired, don’t bother to wake me either.” She said this as she was heading to her bedroom.
“But Sasha……..” Sienna tried to say.
“Did you not hear me?” Sasha said with an annoyed tone in her voice.
“What are we going to do Sienna?” Shelley whispered, “She’s cutting herself off from everything and everybody, how can we get her to stop?”
“It’s just going to take time; she’s got a lot to deal with.” Sienna told her sister as she hugged her.
Jaejoong called to make sure that they made it home okay, “Yeah we’re home alright but it’s just breaking our hearts to see her like this. She went straight to her room and told us not to wake her.” Shelley told him.
“We’ll come over later, let her rest up for now but she needs to hear what we have to say. She’s got to talk about it if she’s going to get past this,” Jaejoong told her. “I love you Shelley, I see you soon OK?”
After checking on Sasha, Micky, Jaejoong and Changmin decided to go and see Yunho. They’d found out from Xiao Mei that he was taking some time off. Even though he was an experienced police detective and had seen some bad cases before, it had never been so close to heart and home. Jaejoong felt sure that they were destined for marriage, but now what? They were worried about him too, his emotional state mostly. Being a man meant that you had to be the strong one, the fixer of all things. How was Yunho going to fix this he thought?

When the three reached Yunho’s apartment they knocked on the door and waited. It took a minute or two before he answered. “What do you 3 want?” he asked clearly annoyed at their presence.
“That is a nice greeting.” Changmin said sarcastically. He pushed past Yunho and went inside. Yunho motioned to the other two to come on in then. Inside they looked around and were shocked at the scene before them, not just the state of his apartment, but him too.
Jaejoong shook his head in dismay and went straight to the kitchen and put on a pot of strong coffee. There were empty whisky containers and Soju bottles everywhere. There was a stale odor about the place - like the morning after a wild party – except there had only been one guest invited.
“What the hell are you doing? Marinating yourself?” Micky asked angrily “Never mind I don’t want to hear it”. Changmin held his nose and got a trash bag and started cleaning up the empties.
“Just stop, I don’t need you guys to clean my apartment or take care of me.” he said.
“Well evidently you do, look around you, what do ya think?” Jaejoong asked.
“It’s my apartment, I’m an adult so leave me alone.” he said. He tried to raise his voice but it made his head pound too much he had to stop.
“It smells in here, did you remember to shower at least?” Changmin said with his usual hint of sarcasm.
“It’s not a case of remembering anything; I’m trying to forget things”. Yunho said quietly.
“And what, or should I say who, might that be Yunho?” Changmin asked, stopping for a moment and sitting on the coffee table in front of him.
“Her, he said, I’m trying to forget HER, she’s made it quite clear that she no longer wants me in her life, and I don’t want to continue on without her,” he was telling them.
Micky was straightening the cushions and pulled out Yunho’s service revolver, “Is that why you’re keeping this under your pillow? How is THIS going to get her back you idiot? How stupid can you be?” Micky scowled at him. Jaejoong stepped between them pushing Micky into the kitchen, “Coffee’s ready!”
“Listen Yunho, she loves you man, only right now she doesn’t feel worthy of being loved back.” Changmin said, serious for once.
“She doesn’t realize that she’s going to need you still. She has to know that even THIS won’t kill your love for her. No matter how much she pushes you away man, you have get through to her. Tell her that it is not important to you whether she can have children or not. That is how you feel, right?” Yunho nodded. “But she won’t know that - if you don’t tell her.” Jaejoong went on to say.
Mickey came back from his trip to the kitchen with a cup of strong coffee in one hand and some aspirin in the other. “Now drink this and take these.” He said. “Then go and take a hot shower, you stink, and for God’s sake brush your damn teeth, that breath would knock out a gorilla in heat”. He chided with a smirk. “We are going to pay her a visit. It’s time for her to face reality. We all love her and we will never leave her.” He told Yunho, “And don’t argue with me! GO!” he points to the bathroom.
Yunho drank the coffee while shaking his head; he knew he was out numbered when they all stuck together. He took the aspirin and went to take a shower. The friends continued to clean up, take out the trash and open a window. “Man it smells like a back alley bar in here,” Mickey said. “I said that earlier.” Changmin replied. This made them all laugh. Mickey wanted to take a photo of all the mess but Jaejoong stopped him this time. Yunho came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. “What’s funny?” he asked.
“What’s funny?” He mocked. “Can you not smell anymore?” Changmin said with a shocked look on his face. “You are lucky then.” He proceeded to fall back on the couch as though he had passed out; laughing so hard that he actually farted, then tears started running down his face.
“You guys are assholes.” He said walking away scratching his butt as he went to finish getting ready.
They all piled into Mickey’s car and went to pick up Junsu. But when they got there he wasn’t home, so they tried the club and he wasn’t there either. Jaejoong tried calling him on his cell phone, but no answer. Now they were worried about him so they decided to head over to the girls apartment and check there. When they pulled up outside Junsu was standing next to his car in front of her building.
“Hey guys, what are you up to?” he asked them. Even though it had been several days since they had all been together, it was evident that Junsu’s face was still bruised and swollen, but he tried to smile regardless.
“We were looking for you, why are you standing out here?” Jaejoong asked.
“I’m not sure whether I should go in or not, we don’t seem to be… well ….. talking anymore.”
“Well that’s why we’re here, to get everything back on track, where it should be.” Micky answered, “Come on I need to see Sienna anyway.”
So Mickey headed up the stairs and they all followed behind him like puppies after their mother. Mickey knocked on the door and Sienna opened it, he hugged and kissed her and asked if they could come inside. “Sure. Come in, please.” She said. Shelley hugged Junsu and told him that they had missed him. Jaejoong went up to her and grabbed her hand and they walked off to the kitchen together.
Mickey sat down in his favorite chair and patted his lap for Sienna to sit with him. “In a minute” she whispered, “can I get anybody a drink?”
Changmin giggled, “Eh, I think Yunho has had enough for this week, don’t you boys?” Yunho slapped him hard on the arm. “Ouch man. What was that for?” he asked with an innocent look on his face. “What did I say now?” Nobody was buying Changmin’s act. Mickey tried hard to stifle a laugh.
Jaejoong & Shelley came in from the kitchen with a tray of tea. Jaejoong gave a knowing look to Mickey and Mickey just shrugged his shoulders like he knew nothing.
“Tea anyone?” Shelley asked. She poured 7 cups of steaming, fragrant, hot tea into traditional Korean tea cups.
“Here sweetie, I’ll take one.” Jaejoong said and sat down on the sofa. She handed one to Junsu, Changmin and Yunho, Sienna & Mickey declined. When everyone was served she sat next to Jaejoong.
“So Yunho we have missed you, how are you doing?” Sienna started the conversation; he just nodded as if to say OK. “Are you back at work yet, or is it too soon?”
“No, I am taking the rest of this week off, and then I will see how it goes.”
“I bet Xiao Mei needs help with your case load?” Sienna went on talking.
The awkward silence was broken by the sound of Sasha’s bedroom door opening. She had heard all the voices and came out of her room to see who it was. When she saw all of them sitting there, she turned to go back into her room. Sienna got up and blocked her retreat, “No Sasha, you need to listen to what we have to say this time. No running away and locking yourself up in that damn room again!”
“Please don’t do this, I’m not ready to.” she cried.
“Yes, now.” Shelley pleaded. Sienna took her hand and sat her on the couch opposite Yunho.
She sat on the table in front of her. “Sasha we all love you, and we are so sorry that we failed to stop this terrible thing from happening to you. We all feel responsible in some way; we all feel as though we should have done it differently. No matter how much we beat ourselves up over this, we cannot change the past or undo it. The one thing that we can do however is not let it ruin our lives, by letting the guilt consume us making us bitter and twisted and STUBBORN. We are not giving up on you sister, so you need to realize that now.” Sasha was sobbing by now and Yunho wanted to just scoop her up and make it all go away. Get things back to the way they were before. But he was afraid of it being the wrong thing to her. Jaejoong handed her a tissue, she wiped her tears. Caught her breath and said “No, that’s not true; you did everything that you could. I don’t blame any of you. After all I was the one that got involved with him years ago; I blame myself for that day. I just feel so embarrassed and ashamed of what I did.”
“No,” Junsu said all of a sudden, “you didn’t do anything willingly, he forced everything on you Sasha. Don’t blame yourself, you are innocent.” As she looked up at him and saw the damage that he had suffered also she went to him and hugged him as they both cried. By now there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
“Sasha, I’ve known you most of my life. I love you and would never have let this happen if I could have stopped it, please forgive me for not being able to help you when you needed me the most,” he was afraid to look in her eyes, afraid that he would see hatred and blame there.
She reached out and lifted his head, she was crying too, “I don’t blame you baby, you have been so much more than a friend to me all this time. I took those pills because I couldn’t bear to see them beat you like they were doing. I’m sorry that you had to witness all the horrible things that he did to me. You were my strength when I first came back broken hearted and scared, I just didn’t want you to have to do it twice. Can you forgive me?” she said. Junsu reached out to her and wrapped his arms around her. “There’s nothing to forgive you for my dear friend.”
Each one in turn told her how much they loved her and how sorry they were for what had happened. Her sisters told her that they just wanted their sister to come back to them.
Only Yunho hadn’t spoken yet. He sat in front of her; he didn’t know where to start. Sasha finally found the courage to say “Yunho, I did not feel worthy to be by your side anymore.” He tried to speak; she stopped him by putting her hand gently on his lips. “No wait, please let me say this, I’m sorry, I’m sorry I shut you out baby, I love you so much, but I....I thought ….. that I would make it easier for you to walk away if I rejected you, you wouldn’t have to do it to me. I thought that it would be for the best, then you could go on with your life and find a whole woman to be with instead of a damaged one like me” she told him.
By now his face was shiny and wet from his endless stream of tears. She tried to use her sleeve to wipe away his tears, but before she could get her wrist close enough, he had grabbed her up and threw his lonely arms around her like a chrysalis around an emerging butterfly. “I love you so much too; I have missed you like the sunshine in Winter time. I even tried to forget about you in the bottom of several whiskey and Soju bottles. But nothing worked; my heart would have to stop beating before I could forget you. You said in the hospital that you were not going to let this destroy you, but I was so afraid that you had. You’re so much stronger than that and I need you to make my life complete! I didn’t want to walk away, I love you so much it hurts baby. These past few days have been hell thinking that you didn’t love me anymore. I don’t see you as any less of a woman now than before. As for kids, we’ll adopt a dozen. As long as I have breathe in my body to make you happy, then it’s you that I want by my side, I don’t care about all the rest.” He reached out to brush her hair back out of her eyes. He got down on his knees in front of her, “As these friends here today witness me asking Sasha will you do me the honor of becoming my wife forever and ever?” he asked to everyone’s surprise.
The whole room erupted in screams of joy, clapping and congratulations!
“Well don’t make me ask a second time – please!” Yunho said.
She nodded “Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.” They melted into one with a long, passionate kiss.
“I had better give you this then.” Yunho said pulling a small, red velvet box out of his pocket, he opened it and held it in the palm of his shaking hand. Sasha gasped and covered her open mouth with both of her open hands looking around the room at her sisters. “Oh my God, its beautiful Yunho.” She said. She held out her quivering left hand out and wiggled her fingers in anticipation. Still on one knee he took her hand and slipped the ring on the important finger, it went on easily gliding down to its resting place, he kissed it and pulled her into him and just held her there before kissing her again, “I love you baby and always will, you can trust that.”
The room was filled with love, everyone was so excited at the outcome of the day, an outcome that none of them expected, especially Yunho. He didn’t think that he would ever get the chance to give her the ring any time soon. He had always held on to his hope, deep down inside, that he would get to marry the woman of his dreams and tonight his dreams became a reality, Sasha DID still love him and she said YES. Now anything was possible.

They planned their wedding, it was just 2 weeks away, they kept it simple and classic; they didn’t want a grand affair. They just wanted to be together and start their new lives as soon as possible. As for the physical side of their relationship, well Sasha needed time to heal, it took a while, but seeing Yunho naked every night sped up the healing process! He treasured her like the rare jewel that she was. He was so proud of her recovery from the kidnapping that almost took her soul. They moved into a new apartment and she & her sisters had a great time decorating it, even leaving a room spare just in case they needed it one day for a special little visitor.
Just before their one year anniversary she became violently ill, fearing food poisoning, Yunho rushed her to the hospital. They waited for some tests to come back and to their surprise the doctor told them that she did not have food poisoning but she was six weeks pregnant! Yunho was ecstatic, Sasha was in complete disbelief. So much so that she made them run the test again, just to be sure! They were positive. He spoiled her rotten just like he promised he would. She kept staring at her ever growing belly in the mirror until she was restricted to bed rest for the last part of the pregnancy. On Christmas Eve, they were exchanging gifts in her hospital room when she went into labor, nine hours later at 12.01am she gave birth to an 8 pound 3 ounce, very healthy, (not so) little boy. They could not have been happier.
Four years later she was pregnant for the third time, they already had two very active, healthy, happy little boys, this time she secretly hoped for a girl. Yunho did too! Their (secret) prayers were answered when JiYool came into the world. They finally moved into a bigger home.
Her sisters were also married. To Yoochun and Jaejoong! They were starting families of their own, Shelley and Jaejoong had just had their first little girl, and Yoochun and Sienna were still practicing, they finally figured it out a year later, she had twins!
