A/N: Okay, so school has been CRAAAZY! Not to mention I had / still have a challenge from interim going. Feel free to check it out as well. But here's another chapter on the lovely Pacca fluff story that keeps me sane (and/or drives me crazy with the most random plot bunnies). Hopefully I can finish up this story decently soon enough - given that I have several random chapters written for the sequel (including a chapter started for a sequel that is at least a few sequels down the road - crazy, I know, but that's my plot bunnies for you). So without any other useless author drivel, here's the new chapter! Enjoy!

“I don’t care, I’m tired of all the stress and such over the wedding! If Mom wouldn’t throw a fit, I would say we should just elope. God!” Ivy threw her hands over her face for the umpteenth time today.
Ivy, Becca, Cat, and Mama Wentz were all settled around the kitchen table at the Wentz house trying to sort out the final details of Ivy’s wedding, which was now just around the corner. The girls had set aside the entire day and made a goal that they finish everything today so as to keep from having the stress of planning the wedding hanging over their heads.
Becca raised an eyebrow at the mention of Ivy eloping. “That would be a bit drastic, don’t you think? I mean, sure the planning is a pain, but elope?”
“At this moment, yes. I’m sick of everyone going crazy with trying to get this all sorted out and such. It’s insane. I just want a quiet simple ceremony where it’s just family and a few friends. Not a media circus, something small and classy. That’s it!”
Becca and Cat exchanged glances, both worried for their own safety at Ivy’s mood. Thankfully, Mama Wentz seemed to be able to handle the stress and situation perfectly. But then again, after having practically helped raise most of the boys in the bands, it was no wonder she was able to handle the stress and such as easy as she did.
“Ivy, why don’t you just do this? Get Pastor Robinson to just do a simple ceremony somewhere. Like the gazebo at the park down the street? That’s lovely this time of year. And outdoor weddings are lovely. Have the reception here, and I’ll take care of all the food and such. Becca and Cat will help, won’t you girls?”
Becca and Cat both nodded absently as they let Mama Wentz take over and finalize everything. Because they both knew that with Ivy as emotional as she was, it would be best to have everything finalized and set down as quickly as they could, for everyone’s sanity. Besides, they both knew that helping Mama Wentz would be fun anyways.
Ivy shrugged, tears of frustration in her eyes now. “That works. Would you mind finishing that up? I need to use the restroom.” Before any of them could really answer, Ivy jumped up and rushed off to the bathroom. Whether it was to be sick or cry, no one knew.
Mama Wentz sighed before straightening up all the wedding magazines on the table before turning to the other two. “Okay girls, sorry about pushing it on you and such, but Ivy looked about ready to burst into tears at the stress. Come on and let’s go see what we can figure out for food out of the supplies in the kitchen. We can go shopping later if we need to. Cat, do you know if Ivy has the dresses and everything picked out?”
“Yeah, Viv and I are working on fixing them all. Viv is making Ivy’s dress, and I’m just doing touch ups on the bridesmaid dresses I used. It’s mainly just adjusting the dresses to fit everyone this time around though.”
They all went into the kitchen and started digging through the various supplies they had in the cabinets. It was soon sorted out that Becca would be in charge of the veggie friendly portions while Cat sorted out the rest and Mama Wentz handled the cake. “So how long do you think it will take to get this one done with? I mean, Pastor Robinson might need to know, right?”
Becca laughed at Cat’s questions. Mama Wentz seemed to just shrug it off before walking into the small downstairs office. Cat raised an eyebrow, and Becca merely shook her head laughing. “Mama went to high school with Pastor Robinson. They were prom dates, both years. He had the biggest crush on her.”
Cat looked shocked for a moment before bursting into a fit of laughter again. “So that’s why she wasn’t worried about getting him to do the wedding, even on such short notice. That helps things out a bit.”
Mama Wentz walked back into the kitchen with a bemused grin on her face. Becca just laughed and Cat shook her head. “We have a pastor for the wedding. What do you girls think of planning a wedding in a day? I figure we can get all the dramatics over with if we just throw it together and have the ceremony tomorrow. That saves the pain of media circus, and Ivy won’t have another meltdown.”
Both girls’ mouths dropped open as Mama Wentz suggested having the wedding the next day. Before either of them could say anything, Ivy spoke up from the doorway. “If you can get it all put together, I would love you forever, Mama. I am so sick of planning, I just want to skip the wedding and get on with life.”
Becca was the first to recover, partially because she was already accustomed to Ivy’s impatience with plans and such. She shrugged before leaning her elbow on the counter with her chin in her hand. “Then I guess we plan a wedding in a day. I’ll go start calling everyone.”
Cat shook her head, muttering under her breath, she wasn’t sure how planning a wedding in a day would be possible, given that her own had taken so long to plan. “Well, Viv’s going to need some serious help. So I should probably go to the shop and get working on the dresses. I’ll be back after we finish to start sorting out all the food.” Cat grabbed her purse and rushed out to her car, no doubt to go break the news to Viv that they would have to finish making Ivy’s dress and altering all the other bridesmaids dresses before the day ended.
Becca rushed off towards the downstairs office and pulled out a notepad to start writing down the names of everyone she would need to call to tell about the sudden wedding. After a minute or so, Becca sighed before picking up the phone and dialing Patrick’s cell phone first. After a ring or two, he answered and she could hear loud music in the background. “Patrick, are you with Petey?”
She hoped that Patrick was with her brother, because perhaps he would take the news of his wedding the next day much better if it was Patrick to spring it on him than her. “Yeah, we’re here at the studio testing out a few remixes, why? What’s wrong?”
Becca laughed as Patrick automatically thought something was wrong. “Nothing’s wrong. Unless you count planning a wedding in a day. I thought I should tell you that you need to clear your schedule for tomorrow. Because you have a wedding to be best man at. And could you tell Petey that he’s getting married tomorrow, so don’t get too drunk tonight.”
“Wait a second. Did you just say that Pete and Ivy are getting married tomorrow? When did this happen?” Becca could tell that Patrick was trying to mentally sort everything out. “Hold on and I’ll get Pete on the phone, and you can tell him yourself. I don’t want to have to be a middle man on this. Because knowing him, this could be dramatic enough as it is.”
Becca laughed as Patrick commented about her brother’s flair for the dramatic. Of course it was rather outstated sometimes, having a particular flair for everything, really, even the most mundane things.
“Yeah? What’s going on?” Becca heard her brother’s familiar voice and smiled to herself. Boy she wished she could see his reaction when she told him what she was about to say.
“Hey Petey. Now I’m going to tell you something, and don’t freak out, okay?”
“Rebecca, what’s wrong? Whenever you say don’t freak out, it always means that something is wrong.”
Becca laughed as her brother did the same thing that Patrick had done, and suspected the worst out of the situation. “Well, fine. If you don’t want to marry Ivy, I suppose I’ll just go tell her to cancel the wedding tomorrow.”
“Wait a second, Becca! Did you just say ‘wedding’ and ‘tomorrow’ in the same sentence? As in I’m getting married tomorrow?”
Becca laughed at Pete’s shocked reaction. “Of course silly. Who else would Ivy be marrying?”
There was a thud and Becca laughed even harder as Patrick’s voice came back through the phone, chuckling to himself as well. “Your brother has passed out. So I believe congratulations are in order for you. Getting him to pass out without even being in the same room. Now I should probably wake him up and such and let you get back to the mass of planning that you are undoubtedly caught up with. I’ll see you later, Doodle. Love you.”
Becca smiled brightly to herself at the nickname. “You too, Tiger.” Becca could hear the slight choke at Patrick’s laugh at the nickname. She had jokingly called him that one time and it had just stuck, if for nothing but the reaction that it merited from him every time she called him that.
Becca hung up the phone and turned back to the list before taking a breath to make the other phone calls. Today was going to be a long day, that was certain.
