Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. I do not know Orlando Bloom. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
The next morning Kellie was dreaming and suddenly felt something cold and wet in her face. She slowly came out of the deep sleep she was in and opened her eyes. She was laying on her stomach with her arm hanging off the bed. Sidi was standing even with her head. His nose was inches from hers and his tail was wagging furiously. Kellie lifted herself up to look at her surroundings. Orlando was on the other side of the bed. He too laid on his stomach and his head was under the pillow. Kellie clutched the sheet around her naked body as she remembered the events of the previous night. Sidi nudged her and Kellie realized he wanted out. Kellie looked around and saw a shirt and a pair of jeans laying on the floor. They weren’t hers, but they would do. She quickly slipped the clothes on and quietly left the room. After she let Sidi out she went to the bathroom. She locked the door and stood staring in the mirror. “I have sex hair.” She laughed. She then turned the water on and splashed it on her face. Next she found a brush and brushed out her hair. She used the toilet and then went back out to the kitchen. She glanced in Orlando’s room on her way by and saw that he was still sleeping. Kellie felt like she was sneaking around. Sidi came back in the door and looked expectantly at her. “What do you want?” Kellie asked. All she got was a wagging tail. “This morning is going to be a little awkward.” Kellie looked around for her purse. She found it under the couch. She dug out her cell phone and checked to see that it was charged. She gave Sidi one last pat and quietly put her shoes on and left. As she walked away from Orlando’s house she called a cab. She gave the cab the address of a house at the end of the street and sat on the curb to wait. It wasn’t long before a cold wt nose was pushing her over. “Sidi!” She squealed trying to push the exuberant dog off her. “How did you get out?” Kellie looked around and saw a very bedraggled Orlando jogging down the street towards her. He had on a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. Kellie blushed as he got closer and she couldn’t look him in the eye.
“Hey!” He yelled when he was in earshot.
Kellie didn’t reply.
“Kellie what are you doing?” Orlando finally got to her and bent over as he tried to catch his breath. He sat down next to her and gently lifted her chin so that he could see her eyes.
“Why didn’t you wake me up?”
Kellie shrugged and played with a blade of grass. Just then the cab showed up and pulled into the drive way of the house. He honked twice and then rolled his window down. “Did you call for a cab?” Kellie looked up just as Orlando said “No, it wasn’t us.” He then grabbed her hand and pulled her up. They walked in silence all the way back to his house. Kellie was almost purple with embarrassment. She had no idea what to say and had hoped to avoid any morning after awkwardness. That was not to be as Orlando opened his front door and gently pushed her inside. Kellie sat down on the couch and looked utterly miserable.
“Is something wrong?” Orlando asked as he sat next to her. Kellie shook her head and continued staring at the floor. “Then why were you leaving? And most importantly why are you wearing my clothes.” Orlando smirked as Kellie looked down and got a horrified look on her face. He didn’t think her face could get mush redder, but it did as she stuttered and then covered her face with her hands.
“This is terrible!” She mumbled through her hands. Orlando laughed and pulled her hands away from her face. He stooped down to look at her. “Actually you look quite good in my jeans.” He said. Kellie smiled and leaned back. “I forgot I put them on when Sidi woke me up.”
“Well they do look good on you and so does that shirt.”
“Thanks, but I’ll change if you want me to.”
“No, I think you should keep them, I rather like seeing you in my clothing.
Kellie smiled again.
“I think I would have liked seeing you in my bed also.”
Orlando had lowered his voice and moved closer to her. He ran his hand up her arm to cup her face. He pulled her to him and kissed her.
“Why did you leave, love?”
“I don’t know, I was trying to avoid any awkwardness.”
“Why would it have been awkward?”
“Well things went a little fast last night.”
“Are you upset about that?”
Orlando frowned as he studied her face. He hadn’t meant to rush things. Everything last night had seemed so right and she hadn’t held back. Maybe he had read her wrong. Kellie was watching the conflicting emotions that ran across Orlando’s face. She reached up and caressed his cheek to bring him out of his thoughts. “I thought maybe you would be.” She said. Orlando’s expression immediately softened as he looked at her.
“No! I mean how could I be?”
“I don’t know, I know you didn’t plan on it.”
“Well, no, but it was great! I’d like to do it again.”
Kellie burst out laughing at his last sentence. “I guess I know you had a good time.”
“Didn’t you?”
“Oh....”
Kellie fell silent as she contemplated how to answer him. The sex had been great, wonderful. She hadn’t been intimate with a man for some time and Orlando had been so gentle. But what did it all mean?
“Yes, I did. I got to do what every other woman in the world fantasizes about doing!” She finally said. “I could make millions off my story ‘I had sex with Orlando Bloom!’”
Orlando rolled his eyes as she giggled. He knew she’d never do anything like that. There were some in the world who would though.
“Good! Now I have another question for you.”
Before Kellie could answer him the phone rang. Orlando sighed and got up to answer it.
“Hello.”
“Yeah it’s me.”
“Really? When?”
“Tuesday? Yeah I can get a flight tomorrow.”
“I’ll see you then.”
Kellie listened to his side of the conversation and patiently waited for him to back to her. When he finally hung up, he had forgotten all about the question he was going to ask her. “That was my publicist.” He said as he bounced over the back of the couch. “She has arranged for me to do an interview with Rolling Stone magazine!”
“Wow that’s great!” Kellie could see how excited he is.
“I’m on a plane tomorrow to do the interview and photo shoot.” He said. “Want to go with me?”
Kellie stared at him. She wasn’t sure if she had heard him right.
“What did you just say?”
“Asked if you wanted to come along.”
“I thought that’s what you said.”
“Well?”
“Well? Gosh Orli I’d love to, but I can’t.”
“Why not?”
“Why not? Because I haven’t found a job yet and a million other reasons!”
Orlando looked at Kellie as she started to pout. He knew what all the reasons were. She wasn’t ready to be thrust into the lime light yet. This was something she still needed time on.
“Ok, but you know I’ll be gone for awhile. After the interview I’m due on set for ‘Pirates’.” He said. Kellie looked up and saw how serious he was.
“I know and that’s another reason.” She said. “You have filming to do and I don’t want to interfere.”
Orlando moved closer to her and took her in his arms.
“You could never interfere.” He whispered as he kissed her. Kellie smiled and enjoyed the attention she was getting. She wasn’t going to be see him for awhile and she wondered what that meant for their relationship or lack there of.
One month later..........
Kellie unlocked her apartment door and carried her groceries in. She checked her machine and saw that she had five new messages. “All from Orlando I bet.” She said as she headed into the kitchen to put the cold stuff away. She then listened to her messages. As she had thought all were from Orlando and were within minutes of each other. Just as the last one played her phone rang again. She sighed and picked it up. It was Orlando.
“Hello.”
“Hey where have you been?”
“I had to get groceries, why didn’t you call my cell?”
“I did.”
“Really?”
Kellie looked at her purse. She picked it up and pulled out her cell phone. It was dead, she had forgotten to charge it.
“Oops....forgot to plug it in again.”
“I thought you were ignoring me.”
“Never!’
“Great, anyways I have a reason for calling.”
“OK and that would be?”
“How about you take a vacation?”
Kellie had been chewing her lower lip. She almost bit it off when he said vacation.
“Orli I’ve only been working for a month. I doubt Jenna is going to let me take any time off.”
“Sure she will, besides I already called her and asked her.”
“You didn’t!”
“Yes, she said she’d help you pack.”
Just then her door bell rang. Kellie couldn’t believe what was happening.
“See there she is now. I’ll meet you at the airport tomorrow.”
“Ok.”
“Hey, don’t be mad. I just want to see you.’
“I’m not and I miss you too.’
“OK, I’ll see you tomorrow!”
“Ok, Bye.”
“Bye!”
Kellie hung up and sat staring out the window. Her door bell rang again and she jumped. She had forgotten about Jenna! Kellie raced to the door to let her in. Jenna was her boss and only friend. She ran a high class fitness center. Kellie had applied to be an instructor and the two had hit it off.
“Hey!” Jenna said. “Thought you weren’t going to answer the door!”
“Sorry I got lost for a minute.” Kellie apologized.
“I bet!” Jenna grinned.
Jenna was Kellie’s age. She was a little taller with jet black hair. Her blues eyes were big and dark. She could get just abut anything when she used those eyes. She was well built and toned. Jenna was what some would consider the typical fitness instructor. She had a fun side and loved to party. Kellie had been toying with the idea of introducing her to Elijah.
“Hey chick!” Jenna shook Kellie out of her reverie. “I’m here to get you packed!”
Kellie smiled and lead Jenna to her bedroom.
“Where are your suitcases?’ She asked as she headed for the closet. Kellie followed her and pulled them out from the very back. She had a large black one, small black carry on and a garment bag. “Here they are!” She announced. Kellie placed everything on her bed and opened them. Jenna had started going through the clothing hung in the closet. When she found something she liked it got thrown on the bed. Before long she had picked out about five of Kellie’s sun dresses and a couple dressier ones. These all went in the garment bag along with a couple dress shirts. Into the larger suitcase when shorts, a couple pairs of jeans and two pairs of capris. Kellie put in socks and undergarments. She was also re-folding t-shirts to put in. Jenna was pawing through her dresser.
“Where are your bathing suits?”
“Bathing suits? I don’t have any.”
“What? Not even one?”
“You know I don’t like to wear them.”
“What time is it?”
Kellie glanced at her watch. It was almost six.
“Come on! You can’t got to the Carribean without a bathing suit.”
Jenna pulled Kellie out of the apartment. After braving traffic they made it to a swim shop that was on the beach. The owner was about to lock up when Jenna stopped him. After some fast talking he let them in.
Kellie browsed a rack of suits. She couldn’t imagine wearing any of them. Even the ones with boy shorts only partially covered the scar on her hip. The scar wasn’t ugly or even that noticeable. It was a thin pinkish line. It was well healed and the doctor that had done the stitches had done a great job. It was still raised and that is what made her self conscious of it. Other than the reason that it was there. Still Jenna had been pulling suits off the racks and was now waiting by the fitting rooms. Kellie reluctantly began trying them on. Jenna made her come out of the room and turn so that she could see every angle.
“Oh....now I see why you won’t wear a suit.”
“Not very pretty is it?”
“How did you get it?”
“Car accident a couple of years ago.”
“Has Orli seen it?”
“I...I don’t know.” Kellie stuttered. She really didn’t know if he had. They’d only had sex the one time and she was pretty sure it had been dark enough.
“Well, no matter we’ll just stick with shorts or even a sarong!”
Jenna grew excited began searching the suits again. Finally after an hour of looking and trying on they left the shop with two new suits. Kellie had agreed to a traditional bikini with a sarong and one with a boy short that miraculously covered most of the scar. Jenna had called and ordered Chinese on their way back to Kellie’s apartment. They went over Kellie’s trip arrangements while they ate. Finally at about Midnight she was packed and had her itinerary. Jenna left with the promise to be back early the next morning to take her to the airport.
Her plane was scheduled to leave at six am. That meant Kellie had to be there by five am. When her alarm went off at three thirty she knew it was going to be a long day. Kellie dragged herself to the shower. She had talked herself into getting out of bed with the promise that she could nap on the plane. After a quick shower she dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. No need for frills today. Kellie finished packing and put everything by the door. She then headed to the kitchen for a Pepsi. She was on her second one when the door bell rang. Kellie opened it to a way to perky Jenna. Her hair was pulled back in a bun and she wore warm up pants and a t-shirt. She would be heading to work after seeing Kellie safely on the plane. “Are you ready?” Kellie nodded and checked everything one more time. She then handed Jenna her spare key. Both women picked up Kellie’s suitcases and headed downstairs. “Are you sure you have everything?” Jenna asked once they were in her car.
“Yes, I’ve got my credit card, cell, passport and motion sickness medication.”
“Motion sickness?”
“I get air sick sometimes.”
“Gotcha, now how about condoms?”
“What? Why do I need those?
“Well duh! I’m sure that you two are going to have more sex in the next two weeks than most people have in their lifetime!”
Kellie laughed at Jenna.
“No, I’ll leave that up to him.”
“We’ll get some at the airport just in case.”
“It’s not like we need them.”
“Why not? You don’t need to get pregnant or catch something.”
“Well I’m pretty sure that Orlando doesn’t have anything and I can’t get pregnant.”
“You can’t? How do you know?”
“Trust me, I just know.”
Jenna’s look was skeptical, but she let the matter go. They got to the airport and got Kellie’s luggage checked in. Jenna stayed through the security checks and all the other business being done. It took nearly an hour. Kellie had just gone through her last metal detector when the boarding call came over the speaker.
“Well that is you!” Jenna practically squealed. “Have a good flight and a great time!”
She hugged Kellie and pushed her in the direction of the gate. Kellie waved one last time and then picked up her carry on. She gave the clerk her ticket and then headed onto the plane. Her seat was in first class and she was one of the first people on the plane. Kellie stowed her bag and then got comfortable. She was asleep before the plane took off.
