The morning came, as usual way too early. Waking both men from their peaceful sleep at once, as one of the bright rays of sun sneaked through the leaves and shone cruelly on both their sleepy faces.
When Bam finally woke, he realized he was once again curled up in Ville's warm lap like a big cat. But he wasn't scared, or embarrassed this time. He was just content laying there. Safe and warm.
It was so strange that in the whole world, Ville, the person he couldn't really relate to, and who he didn't even particularly like, was the one who made him feel feelings he hadn't felt in years. A connection with someone. In a way they truly understood each others want and needs, because in a situation like this, they were down to a simple few.
They were the same. They just needed the things that humans need to survive. Food, shelter, water, warmth.....and each other. That all mattered so much more here. Had so much value. It didn't matter they had nothing in common, and that they would never have built a relationship of any kind, had this not happened. Because it had, and each other was all they had.
Ville started to stir, and lifted an arm to rub the sleep from his eyes. The body keeping him warm turned to look up at him, and Ville smiled when he saw Bam's rosy face, weak from the sleep and with messy hair on his lap. Bam was so needy when the night fell. And he was so afraid. Afraid of the dark, like he had always been.
But Bam being cold, tired and in need of comfort made him forget about his own fears, and helped him through the night. He couldn't think of all the bad things being out there, when there was this boy needing to be taking care of. It distracted him, and made him feel less alone. Just like Bam didn't feel alone when he was on his chest, sleeping. It was something he would never admit doing if they ever got off this island, but it was pretty ok.
It was nice.
"Morning." He groaned, his voice raspy from sleep. He wanted to smile wider, but his lips were too dry from the cold night air, and cracked when he tried.
"Ouch."
Bam wanted to laugh, but discovered he had the same issue, and so his smile also quickly faded.
“Morning.”
Bam stayed put, clinging to Ville’s warmth and not making a move to let go. Ville didn’t mind much, until he felt a familiar feeling in the pit of his stomach, and an annoying stir in his jeans.
Why, oh why, did his body always do this to him in the morning. And he couldn’t even have descent wank with Bam around. God this was torture.
‘Think non-sexual thought. Think non-sexual thought.” His screwed his eyes shut, trying to concentrate. But Bam rubbing his body innocently all over his as he stretched, made his cock jump even further, and causing him to groan loudly in frustration and arousal. It had been so long since he had any kind of ‘release’ and his body was obviously protesting.
Bam, completely obvious to the situation, lifted his head and looked and Ville with a puzzled expression, accidentally rubbing more against Ville as he did.
“Are you alright Ville?” You look very….OH.” Bam’s eyes widened when he brush over something that he recognized from the similar situation they had been in yesterday.
‘Wow, damn Ville.’ Was all that flashed through his mind.
“I…. it’s just…….You have absolutely nothing to do with that!” Ville snapped with a light gasp, trying to throw Bam off of him by buckling his hips. He found out that didn’t really help at all, as his hard on accidentally brushed against Bam’s stomach as he did, and he let out a low moan.
Bam, who noticed Ville state of discomfort, let himself roll to the side so he landed next to Ville on the boat, making the whole thing shake like mad.
“I know, I know. O-of course I don’t.” Bam stuttered, trying to calm Ville down but not knowing how to. This was all just a little too strange. Ville blush kept present, and he tried to look away so Bam wouldn’t notice.
But he knew the damage was already done since it just wouldn’t go away. Thinking about the damn dream he had had. That damn dream. It was just awful and weird and…..
He just needed to get laid, that was what. That’s why he was dreaming these dreams and walking around with boners.
Unfortunately, there were no girls here anyway. And not that he would cheat on Jonna with another girl. Even out here. Nope…
It was just him, and Bam.
…..
Bam.
That goddamn dream!
**
Later that day Bam discovered that from the beach, you could see a cliff sticking out from above them. The cliff looked filled with trees and bushes, full of fruits and nuts they could pick and bring down.
It would mean them having to walk up there, going trough a the woods and up the cliff. But Bam decided they had nothing else to do anyway, and since the fruit up there looked much more colourful and less harmed by animals, and since he'd been hungry since this morning, he wanted to give it a shot.
Ville had simply agreed with a nod, being a little quiet today, but it was good enough for Bam. And after drinking some water at the lake, they started to make their way up the cliff.
“It’s not very far Ville. We’ll be there soon.” Bam soothed Ville, who was already having trouble breathing properly as they walked through the bushes and trees, leaving scratches and insect bites on their arms and legs as they did.
Bam had no idea Ville’s condition was this bad, and he really had to hold back so Ville wouldn’t be left behind. It was only a thirty minute walk but Ville was starting to wheeze from the heat and the sweat running down his back. He felt sick, like he was going to throw up. Struggling to get enough oxygen in his lungs.
“Come on Ville, come on. I knew you were a smoker but this….”
Ville wanted to snap at Bam complaining about him, again, but his head shot up when Bam’s complaint were interrupted by a searing scream. He looked ahead, seeing that the high pitched cries were coming from Bam, who’s eyes looked like they were about to fall from their sockets, and a face as white as a sheet.
Ville stumbled back when Bam suddenly came running for him, pretty much jumping into his arms and shaking like a little straw.
“Bam. Bam, stop. What is going on? Why are you crying?” Ville struggled to get the boy out of his arms, since he was almost crushing him.
“A-A-A-A”
“ Bam!”
“A SNAKE!”
Bam finally screamed, now hiding himself behind Ville, pressing his chest tightly to his back.
“There's a snake there!”
Ville let out a sigh in relieve, grabbing Bam from behind him and forcing him to his side.
“Bam are you serious? It’s just a snake. Don’t hurt him and he won’t hurt you.” Ville panted wisely, still short of breath. He walked to the place Bam had been standing, and laughed when he saw the lizard Bam had been calling a snake, obviously not about to move at all.
“ There Bam, it’s safe. No need to cry.” He smirked, making Bam blush and snort. Ashamed of his previous actions.
“I’m not crying!” Bam quickly wiped away the evidence on his cheeks, making Ville giggle in between his sharp breaths.
“I guess you're afraid of snakes then.” He stated, getting a small nod from Bam who looked to the ground in embarrassment.
“It’s ok Bam, we all have something.”
In the heat of the moment, Bam had grabbed Ville’s hand in his, and looking down, Bam realized he still was holding it. Ville’s hand was bigger then his, and also felt stronger. It was nice holding it in the scary forest they were in so he didn’t let go.
Neither did Ville.
So they walked, the last bit, hand in hand, Bam pulling Ville forward so it wouldn’t look like they were doing something romantic, even though there was no one here to see them. Just helping each other out, needing each others strength.
But Ville kept wheezing and coughing, and his pace was getting slower and slower. Bam needed to pull harder, getting him up the cliff, and when they were finally there, Ville needed to lean against a tree, clenching his chest and panting hard.
“Ville, my god what is the matter with you?” Bam finally asked, feeling the loss when Ville let go of his hand and quickly glanced around, making sure no snakes were near.
“Asthma. God I wish I had my inhaler.” Ville answered, letting himself be led by Bam to a big rock by the edge of the cliff. “Oh no, is it bad? You're not dying are you?” Bam asked clumsily, as Ville sat down, facing the ocean.
“No silly, I'll be fine. It’s not a heavy attack or anything.” Afraid to ask more, Bam just nodded. He knew that Ville knew asthma could easily become his death one day. Without any medication things could go wrong.
But he didn’t want to know, so he didn’t ask. And he let Ville be while he climbed a tree for the coconuts hanging in it.
Sitting there, Ville let the sea air sooth his burning lungs, and felt himself calm down as he looked at the blue surface in front of him.
All blue. All so blue….
Wait….
Bam was picking mango’s from a huge and beautiful tree when he heard Ville scream something sounding an awful lot like ‘Oh my god!’ And he dropped himself to the ground, afraid that maybe Ville really was choking on his own insides.
But he found Ville staring, with open mouth, to the horizon. “Bammie, oh god look Bam.” Ville pointed, and Bam looked at the direction he wanted him to.
And at the horizon, there was a small black spot, getting smaller and smaller, that was a ship. A ship in the otherwise empty blue sea.
Ville began to shake next to him, and reach out without a word, like reaching would
make it come back.
“We need to do something Bam, it’s a ship! We need to make fire, and yell and jump and wave. We need to make them see us.” He almost screamed, wheezing even harder then before and frightening Bam. He knew this was perhaps their only chance, or maybe it had been. But the ship was almost gone. It was almost behind the line, and Bam knew it was pointless.
“Ville no, It’s too far away. Calm down.” He tried, but Ville shook his head, tears falling from his desperate eyes, and a hand clenching his throat for air.
“No, no, come back. We need to go home, we need…..”
“No Ville, it’s gone. I’m sorry it’s gone. We can’t….”
But Ville wouldn’t stop. He kept begging, and praying for the ship to come back. Shouting and crying. Tears staining his face, and his knees gave way from underneath him. He had no air to breath, but still he kept mumbling words on his knees, keeping his hand stretched out. Needing the ship to come back and give him air. He didn’t want to die just yet.
“I-I-I-I-I can’t breath.” He finally choked out. Bam, terrified by the situation, dropped to his knees in front of Ville, grabbing his face with his hand and feeling the tears stream over his fingers.
“ Ville please I….” He choked, not knowing what to do. Ville was starting look a little blue, and he started crying himself. Knowing he would jump of this cliff the second Ville would die.
“Bam…air….I.”
But before anything else could happen, Bam breath in deep and lunched forward, placing his lips softly on Ville’s, and breath in gently, caressing the pale lips with his own, and holding his face with both hands.
And Ville calmed. It worked in a way, because the wheezing stopped.
He did it again and again, until Ville calmed down in his arms, breathing slower and deeper, getting the colour back in his face. The tears kept streaming, but Ville was breathing again. Breathing without Bam.
Bam was so relieved and cried when Ville finally pulled back, breathing and weakly smiling.
They looked at each other for a moment, crying and laughing, and after a small silence, Ville mouthed a ‘ Thank you’ at Bam, before launching forward and placing his lips against Bam’s once more.
And it wasn’t just a kiss of life. It was a kiss.
