Jo woke up the next morning with a renewed zest for life.
She pulled her pyjama bottoms from round her knees as she got out of bed and headed downstairs to meet the others for breakfast.
"Morning." She smiled as she sat at the table and hepled herself to a glass of juice.
Only Jemma was at the breakfast table, who smiled and nodded, too busy munching on toast and reading the morning paper to give a proper answer.
"Anything good?" Asked Jo motioning to the paper.
"Just the usual." Shrugged Jemma. "If you're wondering where the boys are they've gone shopping."
"Oh, are they mad at me for last night?" Jemma smiled and shook her head.
"No, to be honest I think they actually saw it from your side as well."
Jo smiled somewhat guiltily and quietly sipped her juice.
"Anyway never mind that," Jemma closed the paper and folded it, putting it down on the table.
"Tell me about your date with David."
Jo laughed. "Oh I wondered when that was going to become the hot topic and just so we're clear, it wasn't a date."
"Liar!" Laughed Jemma. "He took you out for a drink and then walked you home."
"Yeah, becuase it was a dark Saturday night full of drunken idiots."
"Did he snog you?"
Jo laughed. "Jemma, let me put it to you like this. IT. WAS. NOT. A. DATE!"
Jemma just laughed and shrugged. "I'll believe you thousands won't."
Jo shook her head and finished her juice, she wasn't really in the mood for Jemma's mind games that morning.
"Oh Jo, come on I'm kidding." Pleaded Jemma. "Jo..."
Jo spun round and smirked. "If you want to call something a date, try next Friday, I'm seeing him again."
Jemma's jaw dropped open but before she could interrogate her further Jo had already disappeared upstairs to get dressed.
David was making the most of his months break before he went on to filming a new drama to fill the gap between the last series and the next christmas special of Doctor Who. He was sat on the sofa learning his lines with a coffee, when the door bell went. "I wonder who that could be?" He smirked sarcastically as he answered the door. "Morning!" Smiled John breezing into the apartment followed by a mellow Scott.
"So how was last nights hot date!" Asked John with a smirk.
David grinned and decided to humor his friend. "I rushed her out before you guys got here."
John's smirk disappeared and he looked disapprovingly at David.
"Okay wise guy now tell me the truth."
David smiled. "Nothing happened, we just had a drink, I walked her home and I'm meeting her again next Friday after her gig at Tiger Tiger."
"Well that's lovely," Smiled Scott before John could make anymore smutty comments. "Good on you mate, you don't need to bed someone to have a good time."
"Thanks mate." Said David apprciatively, giving John a raised eyebrow.
John rolled his eyes and smirked. "So we up for another night out on Friday?"
