"At every occasion I'll be ready for the funeral.
At every occasion once more is called the funeral.
At every occasion I'm ready for the funeral.
At every occasion one brilliant day funeral."

"This is nice," Kelly commented, looking around the small restaurant.
"Yea, I always thought it was so relaxing," Carrie nodded, studying her carefully. "Kell, about last night--"
Kelly raised a hand to stop her, "I'm sorry."
"You're sorry? For what?"
"Because I shouldn't have left."
"No, you did the right thing. I completely overreacted."
"I shouldn't have left," Kelly sighed. "There was no reason for me to leave. We're still right where we were last night, and I honestly would have much rather stayed and watched movies with you than have gone home to be alone."
Carrie nodded.
"Care, I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you. I just, I don't know. Your friendship means so much to me. I love being around you, that's obvious. Jason and Ashley can even see that. I guess...I'm not sure what it is you want me to figure out."
"I just want to know what you want," she replied softly.
"I want for us to be friends. I want to hang out with you whenever we can. I want..." Kelly blushed. "You know what I want. You know I want you."
"I guess, I meant, I wanted you to figure out where we stand," Carrie corrected. "What we are."
Kelly looked at her doubtfully, "Do you really? I mean, do you really want to know the answer to that? Because I don't think either of us truly does. "
Carrie felt her stomach turn nervously, the thought of everything they had done the past couple of weeks drifting to the front of her mind, "Actually...no."
"Then why are we questioning anything? Care, I'm happy when I'm with you. I'm sincerely happy, no matter what we're doing. Why are we trying to put a name to a good thing, and potentially ruin it?"
"I don't know," Carrie admitted, catching the Texan's eye, feeling as if a huge weight had been lifted off of her. She smiled.
Kelly returned it as the waiter arrived, taking their orders.
"What's wrong?" Carrie asked as he walked away, and Kelly began to look all around her.
"I was looking for my phone. It never fails, as soon as I sit down to eat, it starts ringing off the hook," Kelly explained.
"It's not in your pocket?"
"No, I put it in my purse."
"Where's your purse?"
Kelly looked at her apologetically, "In Alex's room."
Carrie laughed, nodding as she stood, "Come on, we'll go get it."
"But you went through the trouble for reservations," Kelly pointed out, following her out of the restaurant and to her car.
"Yea, and I know how many important calls you can miss in an hour. Plus, your money and keys are in there I assume?"
"Yea," Kelly admitted, getting into the car with her. "Sorry."
"Don't worry about it. We'll just order a pizza or something at my place."
Kelly nodded, her stomach growling, causing Carrie to laugh.
"I think it just seconded that motion," the country singer teased.

"You want me to come down with you?" Carrie asked, pulling in front of the hospital's doors.
"Um, no, just wait right here. I'll only be a second. They probably have it at the nurses station."
"Not the first time you've left it behind?" Carrie laughed.
"Not in the slightest," Kelly smiled, getting out of the car.

Carrie looked at the clock on her radio. Kelly had been in there for a good while. She turned the vehicle off, getting out and walking into the building. She turned down a hall, smiling as she was greeted by a couple of nurses at the front station.
"Hey, I was wondering if y'all knew where Kelly was. She came in to get her purse she had left behind," Carrie explained.
The two nurses exchanged a look.
"Well, we had a note asking her to go up to Alex's room when she got here," the younger of the two replied.
"Oh, well, they must have left it in there for her," Carrie nodded. "Is it ok if I go find her?"
"Yea," the older one nodded. "Just try not to make too much noise. Most of the children are sleeping."
Carrie nodded, making her way to the elevators and up to Alex's floor. She got out, walking down the hall. Before she turned the corner, she heard a hushed voice, trying to reason with someone. Carrie quietly walked around the corner, entering the hall that held Alex's room. She felt her heart drop as she saw Kelly, whose back was to her, shaking her head as Dr. Lopez tried to explain something to her.
"No," she heard Kelly say shakily.
"I am so sorry," Dr. Lopez replied honestly. "There's nothing that we could do."
"Y-y-you're lying," Kelly struggled.
"Kelly, she's gone," he said gently.
"No," she shook her head.
"Kelly," Dr. Lopez sighed.
"No!" Kelly exclaimed.
Dr. Lopez looked up, catching Carrie's eye, looking somewhat relieved to see her there.
"Please," Kelly pleaded with him, her voice cracking. "Please tell me you're lying."
"You have no idea how much I wish I could do that."
Kelly felt herself growing dizzy. She placed a hand against the wall, steadying herself. "You're lying," she started to cry, her shoulders shaking.
"Kelly," he shook his head, reaching out for her.
"Don't touch me!" she replied, her entire body now shaking.
"Shit," Carrie cursed. She rushed behind the Texan, wrapping her arms around her, catching her before she crumpled to the ground. "Shh, Kell."
"He's lying," she heard her cry.
Carrie kept a firm grip around her stomach, holding her up, "Baby, he's not."
"I just...we saw her..."
"I know," Carrie replied, feeling her own heart breaking at the sound of her sobs, and the thought of those big green eyes gazing back up at her earlier.
"She can't be," Kelly shook her head, turning around in Carrie's arms, folding into her.
Carrie closed her eyes tightly at the feeling of Kelly's tears soaking her shirt, "I'm so sorry."
"Care..." she cried. "Tell me he's lying."
"Shh," Carrie tried to soothe, kissing the top of her head.
