A/N: Okay, so it seems my plot bunnies are semi-cooperating with me now. YAY! Goody for you, because this means more chapters sooner. That and my hopeless romantic self is having waaaaaaaaaaay too much fun planning the wedding. So here's the chapter - and it's actually boy fluffy goodness. XD Just couldn't help it, I wanted to keep the little mini-theme going with the chapters, so here it is. Enjoy!

Patrick stood at the counter of the small boutique style jewelry store with Spencer. He was looking for the perfect wedding present for Becca, and so of course, he had thought to take Spencer, given that the girls were all helping with the last of the bridesmaid dresses. That and Spencer was the probably the only one who could actually keep a secret, and thus the perfect candidate for shopping buddy.
“Here, look at this one, Patrick. Diamonds to keep your wedding shining bright.” Spencer held up a diamond necklace, delicate silver chain holding a small heart-shaped charm with a pair of diamonds nestled in the middle of the pendant. Patrick took it and gave it a glance over before shaking his head.
“It’s not what I see her wearing, Spence. I want this gift to be perfect. Something that is the epitome of Becca. Something so gorgeous that there aren’t words to describe it. It just needs to be what she is, perfect.” Patrick blushed as he said this, feeling like a complete sap, but knowing that he wanted his wedding gift to be perfect. Because that is what she was to him ... perfect.
Spencer laughed at Patrick’s reasoning against the necklace. Of course he hadn’t exactly seen it as much of a Becca necklace either. But he just wanted to see what Patrick was looking for before he started really shopping. And now that he knew what Patrick was after, he was sure that he could easily find it amid this selection. After all, he hadn’t been Becca’s best friend for years all for nothing.
Patrick and Spencer continued looking for the perfect gift. Patrick moved off a little ways, hoping to maybe stumble across whatever it was he was looking for, and Spencer continued shifting through the displays in front of him. Nothing seemed to catch his eye as something particularly to be Becca, and it was a little agitating. Spencer caught a glimpse of something else in one of the cases and moved to examine it more closely. It was a simple silver men’s claddagh ring. That seemed to be perfect, given what he was previously thinking about. But he reminded himself that he wasn’t here to shop for himself. He was helping Patrick shop for Becca’s present. Although he couldn’t help noticing the display. Perhaps he could come back later if he still had the idea.
Patrick wondered back over to stand beside Spencer when he noticed him looking intently at something. “Find something, Spence?” Patrick managed to contain the laughter when Spencer jumped at the sound of his voice, although he had to cough a few times to cover it. He turned to look and see what Spencer had been staring so intently at. It was a display of claddagh rings. Specifically men’s claddagh rings.
“Not really, just sort of dazed out for a second. Any luck for you?” Spencer absently ran a hand through his messy hair, having grown it out lately. He avoided Patrick’s gaze and instead turned to look at the displays in front of him again, keeping his eyes from the display he had been staring at before. Better to not have Patrick catch him spacing again.
Patrick knew from having spent enough time with Spencer that he was hiding something, so he just decided to wait and see what it was. Although of course, he could always just goad whatever it was out of him. That sounded like fun, actually. Although he wasn’t going to torment Spencer, knowing how much tormenting was the opposite of fun for the person being tormented. “Nope, no luck for me. We might just have to check another store. I knew I shouldn’t have waited around for this. But with all the crazy stuff that’s been going on, I hadn’t really thought much about the wedding gift. I really owe you for coming shopping with me.”
Spencer noticed a necklace sitting in the middle of several other much flashier ones and leaned over to the counter to get a better look at it. It was small and fragile, the silverwork interwoven with diamonds. “Hey Patrick, what about that one?” Spencer pointed to the necklace with a smile.
Patrick glanced down at the necklace Spencer was pointing out. There it was. Perfect. The small unassuming necklace sitting amid the other flashy, almost gaudy, necklaces was perfect. “It’s Reby.” Patrick whispered more to himself than to anyone else and he was shocked when Spencer voiced his agreement. They called an employee over and took out the necklace. It was even more impressive in his hands. So small and delicate, it was perfect and just what he had imagined.
Patrick nodded to the girl behind the counter, and started to look around more, although the delicate necklace in his hand was the perfect gift. But he had the feeling that whatever had caught Spencer’s eye earlier might reappear as something that he would want to buy, for whatever purpose. “Hey Spence, just because I’m curious, what were you staring at before you saw this?”
Spencer rubbed his hand over his face, before pulling Patrick back over to the display case where they had been looking before, that held the claddagh rings. “I was thinking about getting one of those.” He leaned over, lowering his voice to where only Patrick could hear him. “I was thinking about proposing. Please don’t tell anyone. I don’t even know how to go about this whole thing. Not exactly the most normal of situations, is it?”
Patrick chuckled as Spencer mentioned thinking about proposing. Wow, it seemed they were getting pretty serious. Of course, it was amusing to have Spencer mention proposing, when Patrick had gotten Spencer to help when he proposed to Becca. Patrick smirked before looking back down at the display. “So which one were you thinking? You know Becca and I will help however. Besides, I do sort of owe you.”
Spencer laughed as Patrick seemed to accept the little possibility without any qualms. That was just one of the things that he liked about Patrick. That and how crazy he and Becca were about each other. “Third in from the left on the middle row. A pair of them would work, don’t you think?”
Patrick laughed as Spencer seemed to be getting flustered about the entire situation. It was amusing to watch, although from what everyone said, he had acted in much the same way about Becca, so he couldn’t tease too much. “Then get the pair, Spence.”
Spencer turned and looked at Patrick as if he had sprouted another head. “And have the media circus and gossip columns go even crazier than they already are? No thanks. But I do feel bad about being ‘unmarked’ and all.” Spencer laughed lightly at the thought.
“Nonsense. Those are great birthday presents for a pair of twins. Silly their hands are different sizes though.” Patrick grinned as he made up an excuse for Spencer to get rings for both himself and Brendon. Now he wouldn’t have to worry about whatever issues he had.
Spencer shook his head as Patrick called the girl back over to get out a pair of the claddagh rings in the proper sizes. And then they went to the counter and paid for all their purchases. Now they were ready to finish getting everything settled for the big day which was just around the corner, actually.
Spencer was filling in for Pete in the area of best man duties, given that Pete was still on his honeymoon. And Patrick had to admit that Spencer was doing a spot on job of it. That and Patrick just had fun hanging out with Spencer. So they headed off to make sure the tuxedos were all settled for the big day.

A/N 2: Okay, so I have more pictures for my lovelies, just because I know that I'm a crazy visual person, and I'm not the best at descriptions. So I give you pictures! If you disagree, sorry. But maybe that's why it's a good thing I don't do descriptions very well. XD
