The rain has finally slowed down and come to a stop.
I`m sitting in a cold room, on the very last question of my SAT's, Ryan is on the other side. The whole time he's had a worried look on his face, i`m afraid he might not graduate. He's got too much on his mind to think straight on this test.
Let's hope for the best.
And expect the worst.
The bell rings, signaling the test is over. I stand up and walk to the desk, and hand the old woman my score sheet, then walk outside to wait for Ryan. He walks out with the same look plastered on his face, that is usually shining with joy.
"God, that was horrible." He said, taking my hand and walking with me to my car.
"Yeah, I know."
I`m lying. It was a pretty easy test, and I breezed right through it.
He sat down next to me in the passenger seat. I put the key in the ignition and started to drive.
"I sent some submissions to some colleges." I stated, turning down the radio.
"I didn't know you wanted to go to college."
"Yeah, I sort of want to do something with music. Maybe become a producer."
"Maybe you can help with our band then."
"Maybe, but that dream is a long shot off."
"Where are the colleges?" He asked.
"One in Illinois, Florida, and New York."
"Those are kinda far from Nevada, Missa."
"I know, but I probably won't get accept anyway." I reassured him.
"Maybe."

"Mom!" I screamed, running into the house with my SAT scores.
"What is it? Who died?" Everyone in the house, which was Brendon, Ryan, Spencer, Brent, Brittney, and my mother turned to stare at me.
"I passed with a scholarship!"
"Oh, sweetie, that's amazing! You can go to any college you want now."
"I know, isn't it wonderful, Ryan?"
He mumbled something inaudible, but I was too excited at the time to pay any attention, and the fact Brendon had just jumped on my back made it a little difficult.
"My sister passed! My sister passed!"
"Maybe you`ll pass, too, Brendon, if you get your act together."My mom said sternly. Much to my relief.
"Why don't you and Ryan go celebrate?" Brittney asked.
"Yeah, want to go get something to eat Ryan?"
He nodded, grabbed my keys, and walked outside. Lately i`d been letting him drive until he could afford to buy his own car.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We sat at the restaurant, the same one we'd been in months before where he pretty much chose Ashlee over me, sitting in silence.
"So, how did you do?" I asked, trying to start some type of conversation.
"I didn't pass it. Just like everyone thought, i`m a failure."
"Oh, Ryan, you're not a failure, the SAT is the hardest test to pass."
"Whatever, I don't care. I`ll just end up a failure like everyone else in my family."
"You're not a failure, don't ever let me hear you say that again."
I took his hand in mine and kissed his cheek. There was something missing. That sparkle in his eye i`d always seen was gone. Replaced by a dull sheen.
"I love you, Ryan Ross." I whispered into his ear.
I saw a flicker of a smile, then it vanished.
"I love you too." He whispered back. "Always."
"Ryan, we need to talk about something right now."
"What?"
"I got accepted t-to, to the colleg in Illinois, and I think i`m gonna go."
I could hear him sigh, and he ran a hand through his hair.
"So, what does this mean? Are we going to be together?"
"I..I..don't know."
