Chapter 1: “Apple Fresh Passion”
Gemma felt herself get swamped with different thoughts that got her more and more worked up. She didn’t notice the world going on outside of her own mind. She had been feeling irritated all day, maybe it was nothing but a bad hang over from the party last night, but something told her it was more than that. Her friend, Sheena, had been flirting with one of their male friends, and he was off limits. Of course she couldn’t very well tell Sheena that he was a ‘forbidden area’ but it still had her annoyed in ways she hadn’t imagined possible. She wasn’t supposed to have feelings like this.
He placed his hand on her shoulder, and she felt the warm rush running through her veins.
“Excuse me, miss?” He repeated and she turned around meeting his deep and gorgeous eyes.
“What?” The harsh sounding word flew out of her mouth before she realised the way his eyes were looking at her. They changed the second she threw him the annoyed glance. From sweet to shocked.
“Nothing.” He turned his look away from her, and decided against telling her that she had a price mark attached to her skirt. He just smirked when the thought of her costing only 2.99. ‘That isn’t a lot for a hot chick like her… ‘ His smirk widened when he looked down her back and outlined her curves with his eyes.
“What are you doing?” She groaned to him through her teeth without facing him.
“What?” Rob said still smirking, not able to stop it.
“I can feel you staring at me?” Gemma couldn’t help but to smile, but succeeded in hiding it in her voice. “Anything on your mind?”
‘If only you knew’ Rob kept on smirking and successfully suppressed a laugh coming on. “Oh, nothing really. What should that be?”
“Not much, I guess.” She said with clear sarcasm in her voice. “Then tell me why.”
“I’d rather not …” Rob couldn’t hold the laugh down for much longer, and tried to guess for how much longer he would have to wait in line before it was his turn.
“Go on… “ Gemma smiled even more, guessing what he was doing. “You wont hurt my feelings.”
“Well… this might end up getting ugly… “ Rob heard his voice break into small giggles. ‘Get a grip, you sound like girl.’
“I very much doubt that.” She said turning to face him. “Yup, I was right. No chance of getting ugly here.”
“Hey girl… smi smiled at her.
“Hey…”
Their lips met up in un but but were cut off after merely a few seconds, as a sudden thought entered Gemma’s mind.
“You know, Rob. We’re not supposed to kiss in public. It could get bad for my reputation.”
”I know…” Rob laughed. “ I couldn’t help myself.”
“I know.” She winked at him. “Believe me, I know.”
“But all kidding aside, you are right, Gem.” He looked into her eyes, and felt good. Real good. “We can’t do this. We have to stick with our decision.”
“Yeah I know. Even though it sucks when I want to kiss the life out of you.” She nodded.
“I’m sure we can arrange something. “ he winked and laughed.
“Oh really…?!” She turned around to face the line again.
“Yup. No doubt about it.” He slid his arm around her waist pulling her close for a second. “No doubt at all.” He took a brief smell of her apple fresh scented hair and pulled himself back again, away from her. Wanting nothing else but to stay close. Staying close and getting embraced by her apple fresh scent that reminded him so much of her. Of her being close.
