It was a full moon out and the light that would usually shine everywhere seemed to be only shining on the mysterious dirt path he was walking on. The young man looked down at his feet, he was walking on this path barefoot, but the tiny rocks that littered it had no effect on his sensitive arches. He was wearing lounge pants that did not belong to him. They were beautiful though, reflecting black and red depending on how the moonlight hit them. He was bare-chested but the chill of the night never touched his skin; almost as if there was a powerful aura surrounding him that prevented the cold and pain from reaching him. He lifted his head and looked at the scenery; exotic trees were lining the sides of the path, emitting shadows, but not enough to obstruct the lady moon from lighting his way.
At the bases of the trees were tiny purple flowers; they were beautiful. He wanted to touch them, to feel the softness of their petals, but his feet would not stray from the path. Where he was going he did not know, where he came from was also unbeknownst to him. It was at that perfect moment that he tore his eyes away from the flowers and looked straight ahead. He saw a man in the distance, standing on the path. He couldn’t see the details but what he could see he studied, burning it into his memory along with every other image he saw. The man had purple hair. He, too, had no shirt on and appeared to be unaffected by the chill that comes with nightfall. He was wearing pants much like his own, only they were purple and black; he was also barefoot. As he approached the figure he could see more, the mix of purple hair and his pale skin was one that made little butterflies flutter in his stomach, this was indeed a beautiful man. To his dismay most of the man’s face was obscured by his hair, he could see the full, pouty lips shimmering in the moon light, it was a sight that made the little butterflies flutter even more.
The man started walking forward, it looked like he was floating, they met halfway. He was about to speak when the smaller man bent down to pick something up from the ground. When he stood up the man produced one of the purple flowers that lined the path. The man took his hand; he took note of how small the purple haired beauties hands were and how soft the skin before feeling a ring being placed on his finger. The ring was silver, and had a teardrop shaped red ruby in the middle, the ruby had three tiny diamonds on each side of it. It was magnificent; Die had never seen anything so beautiful, besides the creature in front of him. Before releasing his hand the man placed the flower in his hand and closed his fingers around it lightly, making sure not to crush the delicate petals. The purple haired stranger took a step back and lifted his head, he locked eyes and stared deep into the brown orbs, they took his breath away. There suddenly a loud banging noise that thundered through the peace of the path. Everything faded away, he desperately cried out, “What is your name?!” He received no answer as darkness greeted him.
There was banging again, this time accompanied with a voice. “Wake up Die!!!” The red headed youth opened his eyes and brushed his hair out of his face. He moved his hand to get up and felt something soft encased in it. Die looked at his hand confusedly, his eyes went wide when he realized he was holding a purple flower, the butterflies returned when he realized that it was the same flower from his dream. He turned his hand over and saw a ring on his finger, recognizing it also from his dream.
There was more banging and shouting, “Alright Shinya! I’m up!” If people at school only knew that his brother was only timid in public and if they saw (and heard) how he acted at home; they would have a heart attack. With that thought he sat up and pulled the sheets off the lower half of his body, Die swung his legs over the side of his bed and placed his feet on the plush carpet. He was wearing the same black and red pearlescent pants from the dream. “This is too freaky.” He mumbled before getting up to shower for school.
