A/N: I just saw an interview of Jared Leto and got somehow inspired. Seems like the muse kissed me. Well anyway it's my first chapter and kinda important for the storyline. I hope you enjoy it. ;-)
Virginia stood in front of the cliff, her gaze swivelling on the ground beneath her feet. The waves were breaking against the rocks following their own rhythm.
Every time when she had been standing on this spot, she had felt like it was the sound of life, but not this night… This night the distant roaring sounded like death. She still wasn’t sure if she really wanted to do it. There were so many thoughts rushing through her mind. Ginny barely managed to get them in the right order. A cool chill of a breeze which came from the ocean sent shivers up and down her spine. It wasn’t the fact that she was up to end her life; no it was the cool air which gave her the heebie-jeebies. That thought alone would have been able to scare out the hell of every normal human being on earth… but Virginia wasn’t normal… not at all.
For a moment she thought about the feeling of falling down the cliff. Gravity would pull her down to earth, air closing around her entire body. There would be no parachute, bungee rope or wings to save her from the pain when she finally hit the ground with full force. The impact would be very painful, but she wouldn’t survive it anyway. Her body would smash on the rocks and nothing would be left of her.
It was the bitter sensation that her corpus would be like she felt since three months, which made her smile. Virginia bit her lower lip still feeling the swelling from morning. Like everyday she had been bullied at school. Some of the cuts and bruises probably would never vanish, but she didn’t care. There was no point in doing so… well at least not for a person who was keen on the idea to vanish into dust every second.
The only reason why she went to school was gone. He would never look at her again; she would never feel his arms around her waist or his lips on her neck. It was all gone…
The car accident had took his life and with it a part of her soul. There was nothing life could give her, nothing which would be able to extinguish the pain inside. Nothing made sense anymore… nothing. A burning tear fell down into the dark precipices underneath her feet.
Her school comrades seemed to notice it to. It was way easier to bully people who didn’t care what would happen with their life than to terrorize teens who loved their own existence.
The only person who cared about Ginny was her own mother. She always had that worried expression on her face when she came back from school, another black eye, swollen lip or more bruises. Her poor mother who had to work all day long to gain enough money for both of them… it would be easier for her when she was finally gone.
Tears started to form in Virginia’s eyes. Soon she’d be with her loved one, nothing would get between them and though she cried. Why did she cry?
Ending this paltry subsistence of her had been all she wanted to reach over those last three months. Why did she feel bad to leave her mother alone? Why did she stand in front of the abyss pondering about her decision? What kept her from taking the final step?
Was it wrong to leave everything she knew behind?
Standing on the same spot without moving an inch she listened to the wind her eyes closed. She was just a mile away from her house. Her mother would surely approach in front of the door in a few minutes, wondering where her daughter was. Another tear escaped beneath her eyelid and rolled down her cheek. Virginia opened her eyes and turned around to look at the distant figure of the place she had called home for eighteen years. With mixed feelings she took a last glimpse at the house behind her before she faced the rocks again, a slight smile forming around the corner of her lips.
A/N: This is the start,I hope you liked it so far... should I continue? =P
