ACT ONE
Scene one

Narrator: Once upon a time in the nineties, in a perfect summerbreeze
When there were no computers, only tv, and love was free
War was going on in Britain.
It wasn’t like normal wars, for it was about popstars
When the rivalising cd’s didn’t sell, the other band felt well
These bands were called Oasis and Blur.
Back in those days, Noel Gallagher wished for Blur to get aids
Instruments clattered in the heat of the battle
It was about music, about songs!
They were the best ears of the crop that was called Britpop
But they didn’t want to share the light and ended up in a fight
This is how they came to an agreement…

Liam and Noel Gallagher were brothers
That didn’t care about others.
With a tambourine on a rock and roll basis
They were, with others, Oasis.
Music for the working class.
Who wouldn’t want a backstage pass?

Seemingly straight from a school of arts
Blur raced to the top of the charts.
Alex jumped while playing bass, Damon had a perfect face,
Dave used his drumsticks, and Graham took care of the guitar licks.
Without noticing it, these best friends
Became involved in the battle of the Britpop bands.
