NOTICE: Welcome back my awesome readers! See I told you I'd be back soon. New and improved chapter layout, 'Warnings' if any will be at the time to warn people of anything, of course. Where as 'Notes' will be down the bottom so you can refer to them after the chapter has been read. So before you get stuck into reading just want to say some formalities - I don't own 'the GazettE', the girls characters are courtesy of a friend, their picture can be viewed under the notes of 'BathRoom' on my profile page. As of yet their image hasn't changed, but they will eventually.
WARNINGS: Minor profanity from Ruki
--------------------
Kikyo yawned widely and had to blink back the tears - they were a combination of boredom and tiredness. The boredom was only because it was pitch dark and she couldn't watch the scenery go by. The tiredness was from the car being so warm, she felt like lying across Megumi and Ai's lap and going to sleep. Megumi and Ai weren't far off falling asleep either because they eyes were starting to flutter. Mika was certainly feeling the warmth but she was wide-awake and thinking of Ruki. She kept smiling to herself as she stared at the road in front of her, thinking about how 'distraught' he was about having his hair cut - the way he went on about it, you'd think they'd shaved his head. Kira stretched her neck from side-to-side a couple of times before letting out a little sigh.
"It's not much longer, I promise. We're just in the Suginami area now ..."
The girls heard Kira say before they all sat up straight and now looked out the windows with more alertness. The lake of sun-light didn't help so they couldn't see much, and still being on the Highway meant there was even less to see. Mika leaned forward to squint out the window and at the over-head signs - the next one she saw read 'Eifuku Exit - 5 Kilometres'.
"Ah, we really are close. The off-ramp is only five kilometres away".
Kikyo, Megumi and Ai all smiled to each other after hearing Mika - it wouldn't be long now. And because of that, they were now fully awake. Ai rubbed her hands together softly as she stared out the partially fogged-up window.
"I hope this place has a heater. Or we'll be drinking cup after cup or tea just to keep warm".
"Um, I think the owner would have heating. Especially if the place is open during winter".
Megumi said while giving Ai the 'don't be silly' look. Ai stuck her tongue out to Megumi before turning back to her window. Kikyo placed a hand on the sill of her window and looked up at the night sky.
"I wonder if it will snow tonight? It snowed lightly all last week ... the weather has just turned whacko this year. It's cold and snowing earlier than usual".
"Hmm you can't really predict the weather, it can change anytime. All I'm worried about is that the guys get through their Tour without any weather complications".
Kira said, glancing quickly over her shoulder at Kikyo, just to see Kikyo nodding before turning back to focus on driving. Kikyo sat up straight again and squashed her hands between her knees to keep them warm. None of the girls hoped the band would have troubles with the weather - last thing they would want to hear is of anything bad happening while they were on Tour. Mika was going to be especially positive for Ruki's sake. She hadn't been brave enough to tell her parents about him yet because her father always tried to find something wrong with her previous boyfriends ... and generally she believed him. But this time she was more determined to prove her father wrong if he tried to see any bad in Ruki ... because she was even happier than before. Luckily her parents hadn't caught on yet that it involved another guy.

The street that the PSC building and café shared was eerily deserted that night - even the PSC management building seemed empty. Where as normally a couple of lights would be showing from the second floor windows, indicating some people were still working. The chilly night was certainly keeping people in their homes - that was when the guys felt guilty about the girls coming out to meet them. And also the old lady working in the Tea House, who could be seen pottering around her shop as Ruki drove his car up to the front. As he turned off his car, the others got out first and gathers on the sidewalk to wait for their driver.
"Oh I can smell the coffee now ... no one else can make my coffee like Obaa-san".
Reita said as he breathed in the smell of coffee coming from the shop. Finally Ruki joined his band mates and Kai lead the way to the glass panel door. No sooner had Kai pushed it open, a faint chime rang above the door and the lady looked up from sweeping in front of the counter. She smiled warmly and rested her broom against the counter.
"Hello boys, I was wondering when you would be coming. Reita-kun, your coffee is waiting for you".
The owner was a very sweet lady - she was just that little bit shorter than Ruki and just as skinny. She wore an olive green short sleeve kimono with a bone colour obi. The obi had large orange and green flower patterns around it and tied in a bow at the back. She wore white tabi socks and plain wooden geta shoes on her feet. Her naturally long white hair was twisted into a bun at the back of her head and held in place with a black beaded comb. Reita smiled to her and bent down to take her out-stretched hands.
"Obaa-san, you never fail to get my attention. It's your coffee that I always hang out for".
The old lady smiled at Reita as he moved further into her shop. Then she looked at Kai.
"My goodness Kai-chan, you are so skinny! Have you been eating well?"
She stepped over to Kai and held up one of his hands to measure his wrist. She then held his chin and turned his head from side to side gently, seeing if his face was thinner. Kai laughed but didn't take her hands away - she sounded like his mother.
"I'm fine really. I have been eating, I promise. Kaa-san calls me once a week to check".
She smiled and squeezed Kai's hand before letting it go so Kai could join Reita. Aoi, Uruha and Ruki laughed at how mother-like Obaa-san was to Kai in particular - there was just something about Kai that made elderly ladies feel likes mothers to him. Then Aoi stepped over to her and bent down so she could kiss his cheek.
"Aoi-kun, you are looking very well. And I see you still have the lip-ring. You will ruin your beautiful teeth if you don't take it out".
Aoi laughed and bit it softly.
"Yeah I might take it out but I want to keep it for a while longer".
She sighed in defeat and shook her head as Aoi squeezed her hand and walked past to find Reita and Kai. No sooner had she turned back around but she jumped when Uruha was now standing in front of her. She placed a hand over her heart and sighed deeply.
"My goodness Uru-chan, you scared me. I think your getting taller ... or I'm getting shorter. I may have to stunt your growth somehow, or I'll do my back one day just looking up at you".
Uruha laughed and bent down to receive his kiss on the cheek from her.
"No don't stunt my growth or I won't be able to pull things down from the high shelves for you".
She let out a little giggle as Uruha walked past her. Finally Ruki was last and he pulled the black beanie of his head as good manners. Obaa-san smiled warmly at Ruki and held both hands out to him, to which he took and then bowed to her.
"Ah Ruki-kun I see you've coloured your hair again. I must say this looks better than those alarmingly long dreadlocks. It's a wonder you didn't strain your neck, they looked heavy".
Ruki looked sheepish as he heard snickers from inside the shop. He let go of her hands so he could pull the beanie back over his head.
"Oh not really, but they were getting too long anyway. And besides, having them for two PV's straight was long enough. I don't think our fans want to see three videos of me with dreadlocks".
The lady laughed and turned to go behind her counter and start fixing some tea and coffee. As Ruki walked past the counter to join his band mates, he paused to look at Obaa-san.
"Oh by the way, I hope you don't mind but we've invited some friends to join us. I don't think they will be much longer but if five girls show up at the front door, it's probably them".
"Oh really, five girls? Have my boys finally found girlfriends?"
"Ah not exactly, but my girlfriend Mika and her friends are coming. It's a long story but we met them at the after party for one of our Fan club only Lives a few weeks ago".
Obaa-san smiled warmly again and nodded, indicating that she didn't mind the girls coming inside too. That was one of the things the guys loved about her - she was a very understanding and lenient person. Ruki nodded and gave a little bow as a thankyou before walking over to their table. Conveniently the guys had chosen a table to fit ten people and had even set themselves up to it would be guy, girl, guy, girl. Ruki smiled to himself and shook his head as he sat down - they seemed to have planned it.

In no time Kira had come upon the Eifuku exit ramp and left the Highway without any problem. No sooner had she done that but there was a set of lights just at the top of the exit. They were red so she slowed down to stop near them. While she waited for the lights to change, it gave the girls a chance to look around the area. To the right, a bridge was stretched out over the Highway and leading away from the Eifuku area. Directly ahead as the On ramp to the Highway - which was where they didn't want to go. And to the left was an area populated by what looked like Office buildings and shops. Mika and Kikyo stared toward the left seeing they were on that side of the car.
"Hey, I think we need to go that way. I don't think we're supposed to go over the bridge or towards the On ramp, obviously".
Mika said as she placed a finger on her window, pointing towards the buildings. When the lights turned to green, Kira flipped her indicators to turn left before steering her car in that direction. Seeing there was no traffic, Kira could just drive at a steady pace and watch for a car park. That left the other girls to watch for the Tea House. Just then Ai gasped which caused Kira to slam on the brakes.
"What, what's wrong? Why the gasping?"
"Oh my gosh, look! It's real! Oh I should have brought a video camera! The PSC Building!"
Ai said breathlessly and leaning so close to the window that the tip of her nose touched it and she was also fogging it up. Each of the girls looked out the right side of the car - and there it was. The very building that managed every band under PS Company: Miyavi, Kra, Kaggra, The GazettE, Alice Nine, ScReW and the soon to be 'Mystery' band.
"Wow ... we're this close to it, and yet we can't go inside and have a look. They probably have huge group photos of each band hanging up everywhere. Platinum Records ... Live Photos ... gosh, imagine working there ..."
Megumi said in awe as she squashed up against Ai to see out the window. The building didn't stick out at all like the girls had imagined - it looked exactly like a large Office building, but with the PSC logo painted across the front doors. It was three stories high with an electronic gate on the right-hand side of it. The girls figured the gate led out to the back of the building ... probably to a car park? Maybe they could frisk the guys about it later. After a couple more seconds of staring in wonder, Kira decided it was time to move off.
"So that means the Tea House must be around here somewhere. If they said it's near their management building, lets keep an eye out ... oh wait, over there! Does that look like Ruki-san's car?"
Kikyo pointed over the front seat between Mika and Kira - they followed her finger and sure enough, just a few meters down, there was a sleek black car parked out the front of a shop. The only shop that seemed to be open anyway. Kira sped up a little bit and then brought her car into the curb just in front of Ruki's car. The girls tried to sneak a peak into the shop as Kira drove past but they couldn't see anyone. Kira turned off the ignition and removed her keys, and then they all got out of her car at the same time. Mika, Kikyo, Megumi and Ai gathered on the sidewalk while Kira locked the car. They weren't standing in front of the Tea House just yet ... more like they were a little nervous.
"Oh I hope we're not over-dressed ... they probably all wearing comfy urban-looking clothes, while we look like we've just finished working in an Up-Market Office".
Megumi said a little disheartened which made the others giggle - Megumi saying that was a sign she cared how she looked for Kai. Finally Kira joined them and wrapped her arms around the group, pushing them toward the door as one.
"Come on you lot, I'm freezing and I want a coffee. Mika I'm sure Ruki is waiting for you, do you want to stand out here like an idiot? I'll go in there and ask him to come get you?"
"Oh, that'd be nice".
Mika said dreamily. Suddenly the Ocha Tea House door was right there, and seeing Ai was the closest, she pushed the door open first. The girls jumped when they heard the faint chime above their heads before they all quickly gathered near the front counter; Kira made sure the door was shut tight before joining them. While they waited, the girls marvelled at the interior - the front window was made of thick glass, the door was the same. By the front window, a dark wood bench sat there with a row of four dark wood stools under it. Where they stood, the floor was caramel-colour panel floorboards and a hip-height black marvel counter. Miniature tea sets and little model 'Welcome Kitties' lined the edge of the counter, and a small calculator, note-pad and pen were the only other things on the counter. The girls assumed that the owner just took orders from here and the earnings were kept safely out the back, while the coffee and tea was prepared further inside. Just to the left of the counter was a long red curtain with an embroidered picture of a Phoenix - faint male voices could be heard talking from behind the curtain followed by laughter.
"I wonder if that's them?"
Ai said softly, not really recognising the voices because the curtain muffled them. Then the curtain was pulled aside and a little old lady in an olive green kimono came wandering out with a sweet smile.
"I'm terribly sorry to keep you waiting, I was just serving some very loud guests."
"O-oh, we're sorry to intrude, I hope we have the right place-" Mika started but the lady giggled.
"Oh don't apologise, I've been expecting you. Ruki-kun and the others already told me about you. He mentioned five girls would be joining so please just go straight through. I will finish up in the front here just so no one else comes on. Go on now".
The lady stepped aside and gestured with a bow for the girls to go through to the back. They thanked her with a bow as well and Mika pushed the curtain aside to lead the way in. No sooner had she and the others walked through, but more laughing was heard and they paused. Towards the back of the shop the guys were sitting around a table and joking about something - it took the girls breath away how cool they looked in normal clothes. It was obvious the guys hadn't noticed their guests yet because Reita kept going on with his story.
"So then he said to me - 'We've just had Aoi and Uruha in to discuss remodelling their guitars, and we thought you might like to do the same?' and I said 'Yeah alright'. So then we sit down and he brings up that bloody computer program thing that does it all for you and turns to me and says 'We've thought of some new designs but we'd like you to tell us what to fix' right? So I look at one of them and then say 'You need to fix just one thing on this one' and he says 'What's that?' and then I said 'You forgot to edit in the strings'."
Kai, Aoi, Uruha and Ruki laughed so hard they had to put down the tea and coffee mugs they were holding - even Reita. He hung his head and shook it before looking up again.
"I kind of felt bad though because I was making fun of him. What he meant was to tell him to fix things about the body of my bass on the program, yet I point out the strings are missing."
The guys brought their laughter down to little chuckles so they could now take sips of their drinks. The girls were still standing where they were but now trying to stifle their laughs at Reita's story. Kai heard them and glanced over his shoulder. He smiled brightly and stood up.
"Hey, you made it! We were starting to worry if you got lost, I see Obaa-san realised who you are".
The other guys looked up as Kai stood to greet the girls. Ruki looked straight at Mika and smiled, which caused her to blush and look at the floor sheepishly. She thought he looked so cool in normal clothes - she especially loved seeing him in his black skinny jeans because she's seen photos of him wearing them before. The next thing she noticed was his brown hair being hidden by the black beanie - she hoped he would take the beanie off to let her see his new style. Kikyo stared dreamy-eyed at Uruha - he looked gorgeous even with normal clothes and flat hair. And its even in a low ponytail, she screamed in her head. Ai smiled when Aoi nodded and waved to her, to whom she nodded and smiled - flat hair looked good on him but styled was always cool too. Kira was in awe at how biker-like Reita looked - leather jacket, buckles ... no noseband?! She giggled to herself and then pulled herself together - she'd seen him without the noseband before, no big deal ... but he looked like a biker leader. Megumi's heart was fluttering as Kai walked closer to them - she couldn't stop staring at how great he looked. Even though he was dressed in comfy clothes, he still managed to style his hair nicely.
"Yeah we just came off the Highway from the Eifuku Exit and turned left in this direction. We would have been here a tad earlier but we had to stop and stare at your management building. Of course none of us have actually seen it so it was awesome".
Megumi said, quickly gathering her thoughts after staring at her favourite drummer. Kai laughed, which would have sent Megumi melting to the floor if it wasn't for her friends now pushing her towards the table where the guys sat. Megumi realised Kai had gestured for the girls to follow him towards their table.
"Yeah it's not that spectacular. We've been around it for years so it's nothing new. We'd be able to walk around that place blindfolded and still not get lost or run into anything".
The girls giggled and finally got a good look at the table ... the guys had set this up. The guys sat on every second seat, which left the girls to sit one between each guy. While Kira, Ai and Kikyo pushed each other around the other side of the table to join Reita, Aoi and Uruha, Megumi sat down with Kai and had to mentally will her heart to stop pounding her rib cage. Ruki glanced up as Mika shyly approached him. Before she had a chance to sit down, he stood up and pulled her into a gently hug with his arms wrapped loosely around her waist. Mika's face was on fire as she then brought her arms up to wrap around his neck. She had a feeling it would be a long time before she could stop blushing this much in his presence.
"Oh for the love of-, you two are boring me. Hurry up and kiss her Ruki!"
Aoi barked out of no-where, which made Ai jump just as she sat down next to him. Seeing Kikyo was now sitting between Uruha and Aoi, both her and Ai shushed him loudly. Kira shushed him too before receiving that soft nudge in the chin that Reita had done to her at the practice last week. Mika felt so embarrassed for Ruki because his band mates were always giving him hell ... but no sooner had she thought that, but Ruki pulled back a little and she felt his lips against hers. Mika's eyes fluttered shut and she couldn't help but smile slightly against his kiss.
"Oh yeah!"
Uruha now taunted the couple. He let out a small grunt when he felt a foot stomp on his - it was Kikyo. Uruha put on the 'what did I do?' face before getting a 'shush' from Kikyo. Aoi, Ai, Reita, Kira, Kai and Megumi laughed softly at Uruha's expense. Ruki gave Mika a couple of small affectionate kisses and then looked at Uruha.
"Kiss my ass, at least I had the balls to tell her how I feel".
"Oh my god ..."
Mika whispered to herself and blushed furiously as she sat down with Ruki - she couldn't believe he just said something like that. A low 'Ooooo' came from Kai, Aoi and Reita as Uruha's cheeks flushed a slight red - he immediately shut up. They were referring to his interest in Kikyo, but he wasn't about to say anything just yet. Kikyo blinked at how quickly Uruha went quiet but it didn't occur to her as to the reason.
Finally as the girls got settled into their seats, they noticed the guys had already gone through at least one round of tea and coffee. With Reita and Uruha doing most of the coffee drinking by the looks of it, that left Aoi, Kai and Ruki to have the healthier choice of tea. Mika smiled to herself when she felt Ruki take her hand under the table and tangle his fingers with hers, so that their hands were resting on Mika's leg.
"So, what do all of you want to drink? Obaa-san doesn't really supply a wide variety for coffee because she specialises in tea, but she has just about every kind of tea you can think of".
Kai asked first as he stood up again and walked the five feet over to a menu stand. He took five cards and brought them back to hand out one-by-one to the girls. They stared at how many different teas were listed - to try each one at least once, you'd be there for a least two days with bathroom breaks included.
"Or if you're not much of a tea person like me, just have coffee. Everyone must have coffee ... it should be the only legal drink. I'm gonna campaign it".
Reita muttered into his cup, which sounded like the ramblings of a mad person. Kira giggled as Reita sculled the last little bit of his coffee before going back to her menu card. Ai was smiling absentmindedly as Aoi quietly went through the menu with her and describing some of the teas. He was leaning over her shoulder with his head just centimetres from hers as they looked at the card - and boy did he smell good! she thought. Kikyo was also letting Uruha describe a couple of the teas but he was more of a coffee person too, so she giggled each time she asked about a tea and he had no idea. The first thing Megumi did was ask what kind Kai had because it had a very fruity smell to it - to which he replied it was just green tea with fresh berry flavour. Mika couldn't decide what to have until Ruki leaned closer and sat his chin on her shoulder.
"You seem lost, can I be of help?"
Mika blushed slightly and smiled.
"Not lost, just in awe. I have no idea what to try, they all sound amazing. Can you give a suggestion?"
Ruki made a long, low 'hmm' sound before reaching across and pointing to one near the bottom.
"Try this one, it helps you relax. Grapefruit Green; green tea with fresh grapefruit".
Ruki then lifted his head and kissed her cheek before sitting up straight to take a sip from his cup. The girls continued to converse about what kind of tea they wanted to try until faint 'clopping' sounds could be heard coming from the front of the shop. The whole group looked up to see it was old lady coming back from her cleaning up. She dusted her hands over the sides of his kimono as she came to stop behind Kai and Megumi.
"Well now, is everyone ready to order, or shall I come back later?"
"No I think they've all chosen, so would you like to tell Obaa-san what you'd like?"
Kai smiled at the lady first before glancing around to the girls. Megumi spoke first.
"I think I will have what Kai-san is having. The Green tea with fresh berry".
"I'd like the Grapefruit Green, arigatou".
Mika said next, as the lady fluidly wrote down the orders on her little note-pad. Kikyo was next.
"I would just like the Jasmin Dragon Pearl. I love Jasmin on cold nights".
"Cherry and Peach, onegai".
Ai said after Kikyo and the old lady commended her on a lovely fruity flavour. That left Kira.
"Much as Reita keeps whispering to me to have coffee, I think I would like the Hatsukoi - the green tea with green lemon".
Reita grunted in disappointment as Kira smiled nicely to the lady and then stuck her tongue out to him. The menu cards were gathered up and handed back to the lady before she retreated into a small room to prepare the drinks - the girls had past it on the way from the front to their table. While they waited, Reita, Aoi, Uruha and Ruki decided it was smoke-break time again.
"Would you excuse us for a few minutes? Nicotine Addiction calls".
Uruha said as he and the others stood up. Kikyo rolled her eyes.
"You guys should be staying healthy like Kai-san. Especially if your in an energetic band, and especially you, Ruki-san. You're the vocalist, you're supposed to take care of your voice".
"Yeah I get that a lot ..."
Ruki said in a tone that clearly stated he wasn't paying attention. Kikyo puffed her cheeks out and Mika giggled at her. However when Uruha bent down to kiss Kikyo's cheek softly as an apology, her face flared up and she lowered her head. Then Reita and Aoi followed Uruha to a small outside area at the back of the shop, which was kept separate from the inside, by another thick glass window. A glass panel door like the front door was the only entrance and exit. Ruki gave Mika a quick kiss and then left to join them. The girls glanced at poor Kai left to entertain them.
"Kai-san, you quit smoking ages ago, how come they won't follow your influence?"
Kira asked. Kai laughed and shook his head.
"Don't get me wrong, I do try. But it's really up to them. If they don't want to quit then there's not much either I or anyone else can do. But maybe you can change their minds where I failed".
"Aww you're not a failure, Kai-kun".
Megumi said reassuringly, giving him a light pat on the back. Mika smiled and then turned to keep watching Ruki. He was in the middle of lighting his own cigarette before going back to chatting with his fellow smokers. She'd heard he tried to quit a few times but always ended up right back where he started - of course she never tried it, but apparently it was no easy thing to quit. Kai was just special - he had the will power and self-control.
"I hope all of them manage to stop completely. Like you said, it's really up to them, but maybe we can hint about it every now and then without sounding like we're nagging too much".
Ai said with a little laugh, which made the other girls and Kai laugh too.
"Oh just say that I told you to nag them. Then maybe it'll start getting through to them because they can't stand it when I nag them".
The girls smiled to each other - so now they had an official excuse to nag them about their smoking habits. This was going to be fun. Megumi was lucky she liked Kai, because she didn't have to worry about him smoking ... but Kira, Ai, Kikyo and especially Mika had a long way to go. Of course the nagging wouldn't happen all the time ... just when they deserved it. The girls kept quietly chatting to Kai about the bands latest Tour set to start the following week. To think they were really going to thoroughly cover all of Japan sounded exciting. Not much time to have five seconds to oneself but they would certainly see a lot more. One important thing they wanted to ask the guys when they were all together again was what they would think about the girls going to see them in Lives? Would it be safe or dangerous?

NOTES:
1) Japan's road system: I'm not sure how the roads are in Japan and if there is a 'Highway' that goes from somewhere near Tokyo statio to the Suginami area (as per the story so far) but because I can only take my research so far, this is what I've come up with. So if I am wrong, I apologise.
2) Refering to the PSC management building: Again I am not sure how the place looks on the outside or inside so I'm guessing it just looks like every other artisit management building. So don't quote me on how it looks, I may just be wrong lol
3) Refering to the remodeling of guitars/bass: I don't know what the process is so I just took a guess on this one when Reita jokes about it
4) Reita and Uruha's coffee habits: I'm not sure on the guys drink habits so lets just say that they are more into coffee while the others like tea better
5) The teas mentioned: Are all from a tea shop called 'Lupicia'. So google it and check it out!
6) Nicotine Addiction: Yes we all know Kai quit ages ago, Ruki has been up and down for a while, as far as my story goes, at this point in time Reita, Aoi and Uruha still do
