Ben:
                The rain was coming down fast and making a racket on the windows. Ugh. Trust it to be raining in the middle of the summer in York. I wouldn’t have to be dealing with it for too long, though. As soon as we found a singer for our band, Asking Alexandria, we were out of here - heading straight for the States. We already had our drummer, James; bassist, Sam; and two guitarists, me and Cam; and we also had plenty of money to get us over to the States and doing a few mini gigs to try and get recognised.
                I’m so looking forward to going to America. Imagine how great it will be if – no, when – we pull this off: touring around the world, playing live in front of thousands of people, partying every night, having loads of beautiful women throw themselves at my feet, taking any one (or two) of them back to the tour bus and –
“I don’t belong here,
We gotta move on dear,
Escape from this Afterlife
‘Cause this time I’m right,
To move on and on,
Far away from here”
                My ringtone brought my fantasizing to an end (unfortunately). I grabbed my phone out of my back pocket and took a quick glance at the caller ID: James. Fuck that bastard. He’d better have a good reason for calling me in the middle of practising my guitar (and interrupting my daydream). I answered and barely had time to snap “What?” at him before he started.
“Ben, mate. I think we’ve found our singer.”
