Die felt like puking. He felt like shit. He wanted to eat something, but there was nothing in the fridge. So he just had a cup of coffee and a cigarette after a shower.
Shinya wasn’t coming back to him.
They weren’t going to be together anymore.
This was final.
Die wanted to just lie down and cry. But he had to go to work. And very soon he will have to go to the tour in America with Shinya everywhere around.
Life officially hated his guts.
Die sighted and managed to keep from crying. He knew he was digging his own grave by not eating, barely sleeping and doing nothing else but thinking about Shinya.
But Shinya wasn’t coming back.
Shinya hated him.
Shinya looked calm and collected this morning.
Shinya didn’t care about Die anymore.
Die stubbed the cigarette and made himself to stand with some difficulties.
He had to go to work.

Toshiya was silently humming some Miyavi song while looking through the documents. Kyo was sitting near him and being a pest. Or this was what Toshiya said to him at least ten times but Kyo didn’t get the ‘subtle’ hint and didn’t leave him alone.
“So are you two all cuddly and cute after doing it? Or does he try to be all manly and macho?” Kyo asked waving the cigarette around while he spoke.
“Get lost, Kyo! Go pester Kaoru or something!”
“I can’t. He’s sleep deprived, so he’s overly sensitive and will explode at the smallest irritation.”
“So if Kaoru’s sleep deprived, then what about you? Aren’t you sleepy at all? Go and get a nap somewhere.”
“Well, I am sleep deprived, so I’m angry because of that and I want to make somebody else suffer with me. And you’re my lucky victim today, Totchi!”
“You’re such an angry little midget, Kyo” Toshiya smirked and immediately got a hit on his shoulder from Kyo.
“Don’t call me that!”
Toshiya laughed, feeling satisfied with himself.
“So why you two are sleep deprived anyway? Too much love tires you out?”
“No… actually…”
But Kyo didn’t manage to finish because Kaoru entered a room with Shinya.
“Shin! Finally you’ve showed up!” Toshiya smiled. “What took you so long to come to work?”
“Leave him alone, Toshiya” Kaoru answered. “Shinya had… important matters to deal with.”
Toshiya just shrugged and got back to his papers. But he had to leave them again as his phone rang. It was Miyavi.
“Oh, hi, Myvs!” you could hear the smile in Toshiya’s voice even if you didn’t see him.
“Oh, I see… Sure, go ahead, have a drink with him. I don’t mind. … I’m fine, really. … Yeah, see you!”
“Suuuure!” Kyo laughed, trying to tease Toshiya. “You don’t mind that he’s having a drink with… with who, actually?”
“With Sakito, his old friend. They haven’t seen each other for quite a while now. And I’m not jealous… or at least I try not to be” Toshiya smiled.
“Ok, back to work everyone” Kaoru interrupted. “And you, my love, also have some paper work to do, so get your cute butt to some papers as well.”
Kyo showed Kaoru middle finger, but did as he was told.
After a couple of hours Die finally showed up. He looked horrible. Even Toshiya had to admit that Die looked bad and probably needed help. But he didn’t say anything. Shinya also didn’t say anything at all. Kyo just looked concerned and Kaoru decided that he’ll talk to Die later in private. Die really looked like he was sick.
So at the lunch break, when Toshiya and Shinya went to the cafeteria to have a bite, and Kyo just lingered around having some coffee, Kaoru sat next to Die.
“Oh, Kaoru, I wanted to apologize you and Kyo for whatever I did yesterday…”
“It doesn’t matter. You didn’t really do anything horrible. But… You make me very, very concerned, Die…”
“I’m fine.”
“FINE?” Kaoru stopped himself in time before he exploded into another fit of rage.
“Have you looked in the mirror recently, Die? You look horrible! You look like some underfed homeless about to faint. Die, you need to take yourself in control. I’m very serious here. You must do something about it or you’ll end up being unable to go on without doctor’s help.”
Die sighted.
“Die, please, listen to me.”
“No, Kaoru. I know what you’re going to say. I hear you, believe me. I’ll eat. And I’ll get better. I promise.”
Kaoru looked Die in the eyes trying to see if he is serious, or if he just wants to get rid of Kaoru.
“Ok” finally Kaoru nodded. “Take care of yourself, I won’t butt in. You can actually go home already. We’ll manage without you. Please, Daisuke, eat and get some sleep.”
Die nodded and stood up. He managed not to fall because for a moment he lost his balance Kaoru saw this, but decided not to comment. He wanted to trust Die and decided to treat him as an adult. At least for now.
Die waved goodbye and was gone.
“That was a very smart thing to do, Kao” Kyo suddenly spoke. “He really needs to rest and a lot.”
“I know, Kyo. I hope he will feel better tomorrow.”

Die ignored everything – the weakness in his knees, the sick feeling in his stomach, the hunger, the cold he felt since this morning.
He got back home and just managed to reach his bed and lie there not even undressing or putting a blanket over himself.
As soon as he closed his eyes, he fell asleep immediately.

When Toshiya and Shinya showed up, Kyo and Kaoru immediately noticed the concerned look on Toshiya’s face.
“What’s wrong, Totchi?” Kyo asked.
“I don’t know… I hope nothing’s wrong. But… Well, Miyavi just called and said that he has to talk to the five of us as soon as possible.”
“Really? Why?” Kaoru asked.
“I don’t know. But he said it was extremely important and all five of us really have to talk to him. He’ll be here in two hours.”
“Well, Die’s already gone home” Kaoru said, but Toshiya just shrugged.
“We’re quite fine without him” he just said and Kaoru sighted.
“But what so important he could tell us?” Kyo wondered but they just had to wait and see.
When they finished work for the day and lingered in the practice room waiting for Miyavi. When he finally showed up, they saw another guy with him.
“Hi, everyone!” Miyavi greeted. “And this is Sakito.”
“Hi, guys” Sakito smiled, but just got back a stare from Toshiya and confused looks from the other three band members.
“Well, we’re very curious what is this all about” Kaoru said and smiled, showing where the guys could sit.
“Where’s Die?” Miyavi asked, looking around.
“He’s not going to be here” Toshiya said angrily. “Just forget about him finally!”
Miyavi sighted and sat at the table, Sakito following him immediately.
“Please, sit down, everyone. You need to hear something.”
Kyo, Kaoru, Toshiya and Shinya also sat at the table now looking very interested and a bit concerned.
“Well, Sakito-kun” Miyavi turned to Sakito sitting next to him. “Tell them everything.”
Now the four guys started at Sakito and he immediately felt uncomfortable. Sakito was quite handsome, Kyo thought. No wonder Toshiya was always jealous.
“Ok…” Sakito stammered, thinking where to start. “We were having a drink with Miyavi earlier today and just happened to start talking about him and Toshiya. I knew they were going out again and I was curious why they split up before…”
Toshiya glared at Miyavi, not being happy that his lover was talking about these things to others.
“So, it appears that everything that happened… I mean, that happened between their split up… somehow became my fault. Umm…” Sakito was really struggling with words. He looked a bit lost being started by the four band members and felt stupid that he wore a hat today, just like the ones Kyo loved to wear. He didn’t want Kyo to think that he was a copycat. And he thought his grey simple sweater looked stupid in front of the four rockers, covered with tattoos and dressed in cool jackets. He looked plain girly with his tight jeans and fluffy sweater. Like a sweet teenage from Japanese pop band.
Sakito tried to calm down and continue after he felt a reassuring squeeze on his shoulder. Miyavi gently smiled at Sakito and the guy managed to gather his courage again.
“Well, you all remember that night when Miyavi met Die and the three of us went drinking?”
Kaoru and Kyo nodded, but Toshiya and Shinya looked like they really didn’t want to hear anything more on this matter.
“Well, we drank a lot, went to a few bars that night and… well… then we went to my place ‘cause it happened to be the nearest and the two guys were totally drunk and I put them both to sleep to my bed and used the couch myself.”
Sakito then fell silent and uncertainly looked at the four Dir en grey members. After a long pause of silence Miyavi finally couldn’t bare any more.
“So?! Aren’t you even a tiny bit happy?!” he asked Toshiya.
“I don’t understand what’s here to be happy about” he shot back angrily.
“Totchi, are you dense?! Sakito just said that he put me and Die to bed and we slept! Totchi, nothing happened between me and Die!”
Everyone started now at Miyavi completely dumbfounded.
“What do you… how…” Toshiya wasn’t even able to form a coherent sentence.
Miyavi looked at Sakito for help. Sakito bowed his head not daring to look anyone in the face and silently explained.
“I was really surprised that Miyavi thought he and Die had sex. Because all that happened was I put them to bed because they were dead to the world and went to sleep myself. Nothing happened. Not between Die or Miyavi, not between me or any of the two.”
“Then… then why did they think they…” Kyo couldn’t keep silent any more.
“It’s my fault” Sakito whispered. “I really didn’t want to come here and speak about this, because I never wanted random people to know this and especially Myvs, but… it’s just… I know I have to solve this situation, so I am obliged to tell you the truth… I’ve always been in love with Miyavi. And we always were having fun, if you know what I mean… Of course, he always had other lovers, but it was fine with me. But one day… one day he said everything has to end because he has a lover and he’s going to be faithful to him. So that meant that I wasn’t going to be with Miyavi… in any way…just as friends…”
Sakito glanced at Miyavi quickly, but Miyavi just smiled gently at him, encouraging to continue.
“I actually thought that he’ll get bored of that Toshiya guy and get back to me, but he didn’t… And then, one day… Well, we went to have a drink when Toshiya was not in town. I hoped that I might be able to seduce him as I always did, but Miyavi brought along another guy, so I had to admit that nothing was going to happen between us.”
Sakito smiled sadly to himself.
“They both got really drunk and I managed to stay quite sober, because I thought that maybe Die would pass out and I’d be left with Myvs in private. But Myvs passed out the first and then on the way to my place Die also fell asleep. I had to admit I lost and had to just put them both to bed. But… When I put them both to bed, I… I just sat there for some time looking at Miyavi and… I just… kind off... started to undress him… I wanted to touch him a bit, even if Miyavi didn’t respond… And before I knew it, Myvs was all naked in front of me.”
Seeing Toshiya’s death glare Sakito squirmed in his seat and quickly added.
“Of course, I didn’t do anything! I just looked and caressed his skin. And just kissed him goodnight… I was about to go to bed when I thought suddenly that it would be strange if Myvs was sleeping naked and Die was not. I thought that Myvs would guess that I did or attempted to do something… that I shouldn’t have done… I knew he would get angry with me or disappointed and I just didn’t want to lose the only thing I had left – his friendship. So I just undressed Die as well and thought that I’ll just tell them that they fell into a huge puddle on the way from the cab to the apartment. Or something like that. But when I woke up, they both were gone and I thought everything was fine.”
Sakito sighted and looked guiltily at Toshiya.
“I’m sorry. I never even thought that Miyavi would think he slept with Die. It was never my intention.”
“But you wanted to seduce him even though he was with me!”
“But I didn’t! Well, ok, I didn’t do it because Die was there, but I see now that even if I’d have tried, Miyavi would have denied my offer to fuck…”
Miyavi took Sakito’s hand and squeezed it gently.
“You’ll get over me, Sakito-kun, don’t worry. There are hundreds of gorgeous guys in Japan. I’ll help you find one if you want,” Miyavi suggested sounding very sincere.
Sakito smiled back and sighted.
“I’m really sorry I was the reason of all the problems you had because of this misunderstanding.”
“It’s ok.” Miyavi said.
Toshiya still couldn’t believe it. All this pain and suffering was for nothing.
“I’m so… so PISSED OFF right now!” Toshiya said fuming and glared at Miyavi. “I don’t want to see you drinking ‘till you pass out in the near future! Just try it and you’ll never live to see another day!”
Miyavi smiled back and released Sakito’s hand.
“Thanks, Sakito, for agreeing to come here and tell everything. If it was me, I doubt they would have believed my words.”
“We would have believed you” Kaoru said suddenly. “It’s great news. It’s good to know that all of this never happened.”
Kyo nodded, finally able to speak.
“It’s like… like… so ironic” Kyo sighed in frustration, unable to find the right words.
Suddenly Shinya stood up and gathered his jacket and his bag. Then, without saying anything, he went out of the room, closing the door.
All the guys looked at each other, hoping of the same thing. Sakito, oblivious to Shinya’s position in this entire story, sighted again.
“I guess I’ll be heading home already. I’m sorry again, Toshiya, Myvs.”
“It’s ok, Sakito” Toshiya said with a sight. “I appreciate your honesty. It’s better later than never.”
“Thanks.”
Sakito then also left, looking relieved finally being able to get out of there. When he was gone, Miyavi then sat next to Toshiya and hugged him.
“Aren’t you happy, Totchi?”
Toshiya sighted and rubbed his temples with his hands. He felt so tired suddenly.
“I’m happy that nothing actually happened between you and… Die, but…”
“But?”
“I’m sad that all this… suffering form the split up was for nothing…”
“No, Totchi, it wasn’t” Miyavi smiled and kissed Toshiya on the cheek. “It tested our relationship in the most cruel and hard way possible and we got A for the test.”
“I really have no idea what are you trying to say” Toshiya said sounding a bit irritated.
“Totchi, Miyavi is right,” Kaoru suddenly said and they all turned to look at him. “You though he cheated on you even though he swore he would not see anyone anymore. But you managed to forgive him. This only shows how strong your feelings are for him. And Miyavi at first promised to leave you alone, but in the end he couldn’t. He broke his promise and tried to get your forgiveness. Miyavi’s determination shows that he put you first before anything else and that you are really important to him, Totchi. He was determined to get you back because he loves you so much.”
“Yeah, this is what I would have said if I didn’t get interrupted” Miyavi laughed and looked at Toshiya.
“We can’t change the past, so I’m happy the way everything turned out. We’re together and we’re madly in love. And now we know that we both love each other so much.”
Miyavi kissed Toshiya on the lips gently and smiled as Toshiya playfully bit his earring in the lip.
“Let’s get going, Totchi. I’m in no mood to give these guys another free show.”
Toshiya blushed and nodded.
“See you tomorrow, guys” he said to Kaoru and Kyo and smiled happily.
“Bye!” Miyavi waved and they soon were gone from the room.
“I’m still shocked” Kyo said after the two guys were gone. “I can’t believe it was such a stupid situation, but it caused so many problems for all of us.”
Kaoru nodded and stood up.
“The only thing I care about now is Daisuke. I hope Shinya will make the right decision and finally get back with him.”
“Of course he will! Why wouldn’t he?”
“Who knows? It’s Shinya… I’m still not sure if he will just go to Die and make things right again. Or at least make Die eat properly and get better, because he looks like a fucking drug addict recently.”
“Well, Kao, you don’t need to worry about this at all. Shinya will definitely now make up with Die. I just know it!”
“I hope so, Kyo. I really hope so…”
Kyo stood up as well and put his hands around Kaoru’s shoulders. Then he leaned closer and looked Kaoru in the eyes.
“You’re so handsome, Kao-kun, that I could just eat you all right now.”
Kaoru kissed Kyo and circled his hands on Kyo’s waist, drawing the blond closer to his chest.
“I love you Kyo. I hope I tell you this often enough.”
“I love you too” Kyo smiled and kissed Kaoru, enjoying the feeling of a budge in Kaoru’s pants that got just a tiny bit bigger after Kyo’s hips started to slowly rub against Kaoru’s.
“Let’s get you home, sweetie, and let’s have a slow, gentle sex this time. I missed our lazy mornings when sex was so painfully slow that it would drive me mad” Kaoru whispered in Kyo’s ear. “I’m getting horny just thinking about going at it so, so slow… and knowing that everything’s going to be just fine from now on…”
Kyo snickered in Kaoru’s neck and pinched him lightly.
“You’re getting hard thinking that the band will now progress smoothly! You’re sick!”
Kyo laughed as Kaoru playfully smacked him on the butt.
“Whatever… At least I can still get it up, so be happy and shut up.”
Kyo smiled and did as he was told. He also secretly was on the ninth cloud just thinking that finally some peace will settle in the band. And he was definitely not turning down the slow love making that Kaoru had promised. He loved the rare moments when Kaoru got all sentimental and over affectionate. He wasn’t going to lose the opportunity to feel pampered by Kaoru.
“My sweetest, coolest, gentlest and most lovable Kaoru…” Kyo whispered and felt how Kaoru’s grip on him tightened.
“Let’s go home, Kyo.”
Kaoru took their bags in one hand and Kyo’s hand in the other and they both headed home.
