Kyo was sick worried. He got a call from Shinya just one day after they met. But he barely understood what Shinya was talking. He was sobbing so badly that Kyo could barely make out words and finally just told him to try and calm down until he’ll come. Something horrible must have happened. He’s never heard Shinya to be so hysterical. Kyo didn’t even know what so horrible might have happened.
Kyo just managed to grab his wallet and car keys. He even forgot to leave a note to Kaoru who went jogging alone that morning. Kyo was still sleepy and lazy, so he didn’t join Kaoru.
When finally Kyo came to Shinya’s door, he knocked urgently. Soon the doors were opened and Kyo saw Shinya. The guy looked like a death penalty was just announced for him.
-Shinya… -Kyo stepped in and closed the door. –What happened?
Shinya just sobbed and covered his face with his hands. Kyo hugged him and led him to his guestroom and sat him on the sofa. Shinya hugged Kyo’s waist desperately and cried. His whole body was shaking from the force of it. Kyo just hugged him and slowly stroked his back waiting for the other man to calm down.
When finally Shinya’s sobbing ceased, Kyo asked him:
-Shinya, what happened?
When Shinya didn’t say anything, Kyo lifted his head so that Shinya was facing him now.
-Shin-chan, you must tell me. I don’t know what to think! Has anybody died?
Shinya shook his head.
-Has anything happened to Die?
After hearing Die’s name Shinya’s eyes filled with tears again and Kyo sighted.
-So it’s Die, then… Please, Shin-chan, tell me what so horrible happened.
Shinya seemed to gather all his strength just to utter some words.
-He… he… doesn’t care about me as much as I thought, -Shinya whispered.
-What do you mean?
-Die cheated on me…
After he said those words, Shinya started to cry again. Kyo sat there in shock.
-Are you sure, Shinya?
-He said it himself…
Kyo was completely taken aback. He would have never thought that such would happen. Not with Shinya and Die. They loved each other so much.
-Shin-chan… I’m so sorry…
Shinya cried again for some time until he was so tired that he was unable to cry any more and a huge headache was splitting his head.
-I’ll make you some herbal tea to calm you a bit, -Kyo said.
Kyo made tea, then made Shinya to eat something and then gave him some painkillers. It was then that he remembered that he forgot his cell phone and Kaoru didn’t know were he was.
-Shinya, can I call Kaoru from your phone? I didn’t leave a note for him. He’ll worry.
Shinya suddenly grabbed Kyo’s sleeve and stopped him.
-But just don’t tell him what happened! Please!
-Why?
-I… Kaoru will not like this…
-I don’t like this either, Shinya.
-No, you don’t understand! They are good friends, but remember what Kaoru said to Die? He said to him that if he’ll hurt me, he’ll make Die’s life miserable! And… and I don’t want him to know. I don’t want anybody to know about it… Kaoru never believed that we’ll make it and he was so right… I don’t want him to start blaming me for starting this at all… I know our break up will affect my work and I don’t want Kaoru to constantly make hints about why my drumming sucks…
-You aren’t going to give Die a chance to make it up to you? To make things right somehow?
Shinya sobbed and lowered his head finally dropping his hand.
-He betrayed me in a way that is most painful to me… I would have given my life for him… But appears that he never really loved me so much as I imagined…
-But Shinya… maybe…
Shinya covered his face with his hands again.
-I know that partly it is my fault, -he whispered. –Me and my fucking celibacy year…
Kyo put a hand on Shinya’s shoulder.
-Knowing this it hurts only more…
Kyo sighed. His hated to see Shinya like this.
-Please, Kyo, don’t tell about it to anybody… They’ll think we had a fight… After what happened in the studio, they won’t question it much… I won’t survive the humiliation… And I don’t want them to start hating Die…
-Ok, -Kyo sighted and went for the phone. Kaoru picked up immediately.
-Kyo?
-Hai, it’s me.
-Where are you? –Kaoru sounded a bit angry.
-I’m with Shinya.
-And why is that?
-He… called me, -Kyo was thinking what to say to a rather irritated Kaoru.
-And?
-He is depressed after that fight with Die.
-So?
-So he called me and… well, he just doesn’t want to be alone…
-And what about us?
-I’ll be back in the evening, Kaoru. Shinya needs me.
-Did you forget that we have tickets to theatre tonight?
-Oh, fuck! I… um… Kaoru, I…
-Forget it! –Kaoru was angry now for real. –If you think that comforting a guy who has problems only because of his own ambitions is more important than spend so little time you have with your lover, then go on, do it. But I intend to go to the theatre with or without you!
And Kaoru put down the phone. Kyo looked at the phone in his hand in disgust then sighted again. He couldn’t be angry with Kaoru, because Kaoru didn’t know what really was happening.
After taking a few deep breaths Kyo went back to Shinya. Tomorrow was Monday. Kyo already felt a headache building only thinking about it.

Toshiya was happy to hear a doorbell. It was late in the evening and he just came home and knew who could be on the other side of the door.
-Hey! Come in, -Toshiya smiled when he opened the door and saw Miyavi.
-Hi, -Miyavi also managed a smile and came in.
-What’s the matter? You look awful, -Toshiya looked at Miyavi concerned. Miyavi looked him in the eyes and sighted.
-I cheated on you, Totchi. Yesterday.
At first Toshiya looked very surprised but his face soon became very sad. He managed to stop the tears that threatened to escape and gulped.
-Ok, -he said and went out of the corridor. Miyavi didn’t follow him, he just stood there waiting for Toshiya’s verdict. Toshiya came back after some time carrying a box of some Miyavi’s belongings.
-These are yours. Take it.
Miyavi hesitated but took them from Toshiya.
-I’m sorry…
-No, don’t say anything, -Toshiya interrupted. –I knew you would do it one day. I just didn’t think it would happen so soon…
-But I am really sorry. I still want to be with you…
-No! You promised me, remember?
-Yes.
Toshiya couldn’t stop himself from crying any more. Tears rolled down his cheeks freely. Miyavi stepped closer and with one hand gently brushed the tears aside.
-It was a mistake, Totchi. Maybe we could still be together?
-No, -Toshiya shook his head. –All I ever get from you is pain… I don’t want to suffer any more. I want to forget you, so please, at least keep your promise to me…
Miyavi sighted and leaned closer, placed a soft kiss on the corner of Toshiya’s lips and went away. Toshiya locked the door and went to his bedroom. For long hours he just sat there crying but tears never seemed to cease. Finally he took the phone and dialed. After some seconds somebody picked up.
-Kyo? Please, can you come to me? … Please, I need you… Thank you…
Toshiya put the receiver down and tried to clean his face from tears. Crying didn’t help to ease the pain.

Kyo sat silently in the driver’s place looking ahead and barely seeing anything. Toshiya didn’t calm down until late in the night and when Kyo finally managed to get asleep, they had to get up for the practice. Yesterday Kyo just managed to get home when Toshiya called. Kaoru was already out. Kyo couldn’t believe he had to go again. He left a brief note to Kaoru and went. He didn’t think he’ll stay so late that it will not be worth wasting time going home. So now he went to work together with completely broken and horrible looking Toshiya who had to try not to start crying again with all his will power.
Kyo couldn’t believe this was happening. First Die… Then Miyavi… It was like a nightmare. Just that it was real.
When they finally entered studio, Kaoru was already there. He looked extremely angry.
-Hi, -Kyo said and Kaoru just glared at him. Toshiya went to sit in a corner on a chair.
-What happened to you? –Kaoru asked, referring to Toshiya. Even being angry Kaoru saw that Toshiya looked horrible.
-Miyavi cheated on him, -Kyo said.
-What? –Kaoru didn’t look very surprised but extremely concerned all of a sudden. He came up to Toshiya and patted him on the shoulder.
-I’m sorry, Totchi. But face it… we all knew this would happen sooner or later…
Kyo glared at his lover.
-Will you be able to work today or do you need one day off?
Toshiya shook his head.
-I can work… -he uttered. Kyo sighted in relief because Toshiya’s voice now sounded stronger than early in the morning when they were eating breakfast.
-Good, -Kaoru said. –You’ll get over it, Toshiya, he’s not worth your tears.
Toshiya didn’t manage to say anything because somebody entered the room. It was Die. He didn’t look like he had a good rest as well.
-Hi, Die! –Kaoru smiled. But Die just nodded and looked at Toshiya. Kyo narrowed his eyes seeing Die. After the whole day of seeing a sobbing and heart-broken Shinya, Kyo felt no sympathy for the guitarist.
-We should start already, -Kaoru said. –Where’s Shinya? Didn’t you come together, Die?
Die shook his head and Kaoru frowned. He didn’t expect that the fight between Shinya and Die was really so bad. Now he understood that Kyo was really needed somewhere else. It so happened that both Kyo friends had problems on the same weekend.
-Ok, warm up, guys, until Shinya shows up. Kyo, I need to talk to you. Come.
Kyo nodded and followed Kaoru to the other room. When Kyo was in, Kaoru closed the doors and pinned Kyo to the wall.
-I thought you wanted to talk, -Kyo said.
But Kaoru just bent closer to Kyo and lightly kissed Kyo’s neck. Then went up and finally reached his lover’s lips. They kissed until Kyo had to break it because he needed air.
-We don’t have time, -Kyo panted.
-I know, -Kaoru answered. –I just want to tell you that I’d like you to be more considerate about me. You were out for the whole day yesterday and then spent a night at Toshiya’s place.
-But…
-I know, I know, -Kaoru silenced him. –Just don’t let it happen again.
They kissed again and went back. Shinya was already there. He was sitting at his drums, his head was lowered. Kyo thought he never saw Shinya look so fragile and delicate, and so sad.
Die paid attention only to his guitar while Toshiya was still sitting where they left him.
-Hey, Shinya! –Kaoru said and the drummer just nodded. Kyo saw that Die flinched at hearing Shinya’s name.
-Ok, guys, listen, -Kaoru said adopting a serious tone. –I said, listen to me!
They all turned to look at him and Kaoru cleared his throat.
-I know that for some of you it is a difficult time. Toshiya has to endure the pain of betrayal. Shinya and Die seem to have had a fight. But I don’t want you to think that you can neglect work because of your personal problems. We worked hard to get where we are now. And there’s still so much to do. Now we have to work even twice harder to finally be back on stage. So I want you all to concentrate on your work when you are here. Can you do that?
Everybody nodded.
-Ok, -Kaoru smiled happily. –Today we’re composing new music for the new album!
It seemed to give great pleasure to Kaoru. Everyone else was not so enthusiastic, but still happy that they finally had something to occupy their minds.
